About the author

Gaston Bachelard was a French philosopher who rose to some of the most prestigious positions in the French academy. His most important work is on poetics and on the philosophy of science. To the latter he introduced the concepts of epistemological obstacle and epistemological break (obstacle épistémologique et rupture épistémologique). He influenced many subsequent French philosophers, among them Michel Foucault and Louis Althusser.

يرى باشلار ان تاريخ العلوم لن يكون تاريخا امبريقيا. لن يتكون تاريخ العلوم من خلال تفتيت الوقائع (الاحداث)، حيث انه في اشكاله المتقدمة عبارة عن تاريخ العقلانية للمعرفة. ويرى ايضا ان تاريخ العلوم بالتالي وبشكل ما هو علاقة مزدوجة، يعني ان في مجال تاريخ العلوم - بخلاف العلاقة بين السبب والنتيجة تنشأ علاقة بين العقل والنتيجة!!

بهذا المنظور الذي يرى به باشلار ان حالة البناء العقلاني لفلسفة العلم عبر مرحلة امبريقية يتم من خلال دورات خمسية (اي كل خمس سنوات) وهذا بدوره هو الذي يطلق عليه التنظيم او البناء العقلاني.

Bachellard is such a clear, engaging, and historically-informed thinker. He makes me wonder what continental philosophy could have become without the influence of Heidegger and Derrida. If only...

Lo esencial está en que cada uno de nosotros, se ponga obstáculos reales y eliminar los obstáculos falsos que nos han creado y nosotros mismos por miedo nos hemos creados. Buen libro, a filosofía no es lo mío, pero un muy buen libro.
