Monsters--humans with weapons and lies. They tricked me, they've captured me, and they hurt my men. Ben was after me from the start, this entire trip was a farce. He’d been hiding, wanting, and waiting for the day he could use me for his twisted rituals, making monsters of men.

Traveling the country camping was supposed to be an escape from the strange and unusual that clings to my family. Instead it’s brought me more than I ever bargained for. My family’s calling to fame--the ghosts, the hauntings, the supernatural--it's time I wield it.

But we’re caged and broken.

A rockstar with dark secrets.
A West Virginia local legend—a monster myth of cryptid fame.
An abhorrence that possesses me, amorphous tentacles and all.
A broken man made to be a monster that everyone fears—a beast made of greed, so hungry he can’t control himself.

We’ll have to work together, we’ll have to save each other, and we’ll have to paint the mountain red before we can finally be done.

This is the third and final instalment of the ‘𝑴𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒔 & 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔’ 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 and I had so much fun reading this!
I’m really sad it’s over.😩

First things first, for those who haven’t seen the earlier reviews, this is a 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒎 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌.
I had no clue what I was getting myself into.. there are detailed descriptions of 𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑙𝑒 𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑠, 𝑎 𝑓𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑦 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑚𝑢𝑡𝑒 𝑀𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝑎𝑛𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑒, 𝑠𝑒𝑥𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑔ℎ𝑜𝑠𝑡𝑠, 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑡 𝑔𝑜𝑒𝑠 𝑜𝑛.. and god I loved it! 🤍

Just as in the other books there’s a lot, 𝑨 𝒍𝒐𝒕, of sex.🔥
That’s not all there is to this book though. ♥
There’s so much going on with the storyline and it’s action packed. I’ve been on the 𝑒𝑑𝑔𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑚𝑦 𝑠𝑒𝑎𝑡 the entire time.

Is it weird? 𝒀𝒆𝒔!
But I think in this genre you just have to 𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑒𝑖𝑟𝑑𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑛𝑗𝑜𝑦 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑖𝑑𝑒!😌

So if you like 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒎 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒔, or it’s something left on your ‘𝑏𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑖𝑠ℎ 𝑏𝑢𝑐𝑘𝑒𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑠𝑡’, I would definitely recommend trying this series out!
I’m also really exited to read more books by Beatrix Hollow, because this woman’s imagination has 𝒏𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒕. 🥰

I loved the conclusion to this series! It wraps up all the loose ends in gory and disturbing fashion. We also get to see a snippet into the lives of characters after all the horrors of that camping trip gone wrong end. A pet peeve of mine is when dark romance or romantic suspense books end too early, and we don’t get to see what “normal” life will look like for the characters. In this book, we get to see that first hand, and it’s pretty darn cute.
There’s also a fascinatingly creepy epilogue that I freaking adored, and apparently the author is considering (or already has???) writing an extended epilogue. I’ll have to be on the lookout for that!
HEA?

It pains me to say this but this series was a bust for me. All the monster sex wasn't even a pick me up as the characters all got it on at the worst and most inopurtune times. This book is basically just an overextended continuation of the second book with the same threats and the gang continually being thwarted. While we did get some more background on the guys and their 'species,' the one that still feels unclear is Brandon. Is he just some zombie now? Will he always hunger for flesh? And what's with the deer skull, honestly, is that gonna be a thing forever?
During the second book I was worried things were getting boring as the characters were in the damn cave so long. For this book I definitely had trouble focusing and had to go back to re-read things a time or two. As the storyline just felt like it was repeating itself I wasn't really pleased until the end. The epilogue did help wrap a lot of things up and I'm pleased with the HEA. I think it's so cool Makwa and Ava are working with her parents and even have parts in their ghost hunting show, if only the people knew!!! Overall the series was interesting and I liked that the creatures were new to me but my expectations must have just been too high after reading and LOVING Cute but Psycho.

Uhhh, so that was an unfinished ending if I’ve ever read one.
Why the hell would you end a book like that?
This was just fucking weird.
The first 80% or so of the book, seemed to be going somewhere. And then when that plot point seemed to be solved it all went to fucking hell.
The last 20% or so was just so disjointed and skippy and full of random shit.
And it just kept going on and on until it was just cut off abruptly.

I’m just so confused. I get there’s a novella epilogue coming, but still. It just doesn’t feel like this book was completed.

And the characters.
What the actual fuck.
Makwa. What the hell is up with Him? He’s not really a part of the harem, but he is, but he’s really not. Like. Him and Ava have this weird relationship but then when they fuck he’s got a degrading demeanor and Ava just goes with it and gets off on it like it’s some kink he has but it’s really not. He Actually means it all.

I’m just confused.
I liked the series, and I thought the plot and everything that happened was pretty interesting and all of that, but the relationships between characters just felt so off.
Nothing about them really felt resolved.

I’m just disappointed that that’s where things are being left, even with a novella coming.

I had to take a break at 47% and almost DNF'd. I'm glad I finished it, but still have huge issues with the book.

The pros-The plot was good. The men are great and I wanted to know all about them. The sex was great.

The cons- These characters are so dumb. They make the worst decisions and have sex at the worst times. Ava is one of the worst characters I've ever read. She's is so dull, annoying and boring they could have replaced her with literally anything. I think the book would have been less annoying if her character was actually a magic pocket pussy, which was basically her function.

HOLY...CRAP.....

There are not many cases where I can say that I enjoyed book 3 more than book 1 in a series. Matter of fact, there aren't ANY series where I can truly say I enjoyed any of the books more than book one.
But that changed with Seek & Find. This book is pure magic. And Beatrix Hollow has my complete heart and soul at this point.
I'm heartbroken that there won't be any other full books featuring Caspian, Pollux, Mawka, Brandon or Ava. I've grown so attached to this group over the last 3 books, and i truly think their stories could continue on for 3 more books, and I wouldn't get sick of them. haha.

In book one, I really didn't like Caspian. His arrogance was off-putting to say the least.. And I honestly didn't think I'd ever like him. That opinion changed in book two and in book three, i fell for him. haha. His emotions FINALLY shined through in this book. We saw a softer side to him that I didn't think was possible.

And Makwa? There wasn't much to him or his story initially... well at least, not enough for me to really form a solid opinion. He wasn't very likeable.. Seek & Find is going to change that for you... because holy crap .... he's deeper than he appeared... to say the least.

Pollux was my favorite from the getgo... i mean who wouldn't love Mothman right?! Seek & Find allows us to dive further into his story and get to know him even more. He's truly ... soo amazing.

And finally, Brandon... I will say i thought he wouldn't change... i thought Brandon would be the only "Human" in the harem. I won't give away any spoilers, and if you read book 2, you'll know Brandon is special now. I felt for him... so much harder this book.

But don't worry. Seek & Find has a happy ending. <3

In the clutches of a full-blown cult, Ava and her monsters are shocked at the transformation of one of their own. Though only one of them seems to understand what he's been turned into, all of them realize quickly that their friend isn't who—or what—he used to be.

As they grapple to escape, each of them grows stronger in their own right. Bodies fall around them, bloodlusts rise, and a hunger like no other consumes.

Love the mix of horror and steam in this series. I found it unique and entertaining. The three installments are told in quick succession, creating an enjoyable dark story that I found to be a light read.

Woohoo !there was tons of steam in the last book and actually hearing it with the narrators was everything I could hope for. The narrators did a phenomenal job with the characters bringing them life. The storyline was perfect Im kind of sad that the story won’t continue. This trilogy is so worth reading and listening to.

Utter craziness.

This book had me in a rollercoaster of emotions! Holy cow, this book was awesome, I did not want to put it down.

It takes off right where book 2 ended. Brandon is overcome with hunger. Hungry for meat. So when Ben stops delivering, what is Brandon supposed to do when the hunger gets so bad, he's blinded? Ava does the unthinkable and soon enough, we are back into the woods, fighting the cult, only they seem to know all of their tricks. They even have the ability to extract Makwa... something no one saw coming. Emotions are heightened.

Between all of them, Ava seems to be their one constant and one thing they cant live without. Together they band together to save their girl. Save her from what, you ask? They themselves aren't even quite sure? This book is all about answers and the author gave them ALL to us!!!!

Ava, Caspian, Brandon, Mothman and Makwa are all a force to reckon with and when odds are stacked against them, they come out stronger together! The ending was full of surprises and I enjoyed it a lot. It was dark, mysterious, steamy (oh my was it steamy) and overall still a fantastic story!

I'm ready for that novella. I cant wait.

*Overall 5/5
*Heat 5/5
*Fast Burn
*MM at end of book about 86%ish
*Ends in HFN with promise of a novella

i have no real clue what i want to rate this, so i'm going to leave it blank (spooky)

the characters are great and i think that's where basically all of my enjoyment of this derives from.
🌙mothman/pollux: obsessed. virginia cowboy cryptid. you can't tell me there's anything more enjoyable than that.
🌙caspian: i didn't like him until basically the end of the third book. tentacle penis fish man. he's a little bit too snarky for my liking. i loved that he immediately stepped up and became protective of pollux the second he marked him. him and brandon beating the shit out of each other is great. (spoiler: i thought the scene of them hooking up at the end was odd -i waited a century for it to happen- and neither of them shifted!! i felt jipped.)
🌙brandon: this poor kid. he really got the short end of the stick here in terms of being a monster. cannibalistic wolf man 😕 that blows. his relationship with caspian is interesting, so much drama there. unfortunately, i can't remember any particular scene with him and pollux. missed opportunity.
🌙makwa: the lovecraftian goo man of my dreams! so cool!! he wants to keep brandon as a pet, love that. him and ava share her body, love that. it's creepy horror goodness. sludge tentacles and possession sex are going to be a difficult trope to find in other books after this.
🌙ava: good heroine, for the most part. she gets a little bit lost in the midst of all these cool monsters, particularly at the end when the rest of them finally begin to have ~relations~ with one another.

👻as far as this last book goes, i thought it was a decent conclusion. the characters all end up together and happy at least. i feel like makwa was never really given the chance to become a member in the group - there isn't a sex scene between him and anyone else but ava and brandon! why are you playing my ghoul like that. 🙄
👻the plot is another thing altogether - honestly i'm confused on what exactly ben's whole deal was. did he really just want to go home through a portal? what was his relationship with loren from the first book? have people in this town been trying to help this dude for generations? how long has he been on earth, how have he and mothman never crossed paths before (supposedly they're from the same place), how did makwa even figure that out about the door in the woods? and what exactly makes ava this all powerful witch? ben very specifically needed her to use her for his magic, but how did he know she was the one? the last scene with ben would have been a great chance for the author to throw in some explanations about ava and what exactly she is, but that just didn't happen.
👻the conclusion is really rushed. in theory, i liked that the final section is all about the harem trying to move on after the events of the series. about a year or so passes, while they all get used to living together and returning to "normal". however, i don't know if it really serves the story in any way. fun things happen that i did want to read - mothman and caspian having sex, caspian and brandon having sex, the new house in the mountains they move into, makwa having his own body, etc. but all of this happens before the epilogue, which is just a throwaway thing about makwa and ava going to a haunted hospital.
👻ava and brandon are the two who were most affected by everything that went down, so those last few chapters should've been primarily about them adjusting back to reality particularly brandon who is a literal cannibal creature now. how is he feeding? how is he able to suppress the monster from taking over? these things are just passively said to be taken care of, but at no point are we shown that he's doing okay with everything. him and caspian starting a new band is cute and all but it doesn't feel like a good conclusion for either of them. in fact, i'm pretty sure we learned in chapter 1 of book 1 that caspian being a frontman is maybe not a great idea - remember that suicide that was glossed over? have them pick up their instruments again and bond over that but having them tour and be a big deal again seems like a regression.
👻i would have liked to see all of the post-trauma scenes culminate with them moving into the mountain house together, and then that's where caspian could have his cute bottom scenes with mothman and brandon WHILE makwa and ava are there!! (because seriously why is there not even one scene with all 5 of them orgying it up?) and then the book could end! i don't think an epilogue is necessary at all, the teaser should've just been kept as a little blurb.

gripes aside, i really enjoyed these characters. the monsters are so creative and disturbing and interesting. even when i wasn't super happy with the pacing of the story, i kept reading because i wanted to see how things ended up with all of them.

Ava and her guys are held captive by Ben and his creepy cult. The situation is growing dire by the minute with Brandon's transformation making him a danger to everyone around him. Makwa's trying to convince Ava to let him teach her to protect herself but she's rightfully wary of his offer. His offers always seems to come with strings. Caspian's struggling with his feelings toward the other guys. After years of closing himself off to everyone but Ava, he's uncomfortable acknowledging his growing feelings and fighting them every step of the way. Sometimes literally.

I was so entertained by these guys that I didn't want their story to end. I laughed throughout this entire book. Ava irritated me at times when she fought against Makwa and his attempts to make her stronger. But she eventually came around and used the powers she feared to fight back against Ben. A couple of death scenes had me on the edge of my seat but I kept my faith in BH and things turned out fine. The reveal with Ben and his motivation was one I didn't see coming. I LOVED the relationship between the guys and the hilarious banter. I loved Makwa's teasing, Caspian's hot and cold temper, Brandon's sweet empathetic nature and Mothman's wise routine with a side of snark. Despite their initial dislike, they became a family who'd stick together no matter what. So many sex scenes and all of it hot. I'm not ready to leave these guys behind and since the epilogue is set up for their novella, I'll read that next.

I absolutely loved reading Beatrix’s Myths & Monsters series! This series was my first monster-monster romance. (The girls that get it get it, and the girls that don’t should get this book.) Needless to say, it won’t be my last.

The guys relationship admittedly threw me a bit (specifically the biting part). It initially seemed to come out of no where which had me extremely confused at the rate of development. The intensity of it was fully explained by the end tho and made sense!

It’s been an awesome ride getting to watch Ava’s abilities and confidence grow! I’m still terrified of the dark but she isn’t. In fact I think it’s safe to say the things that go bump in the night and creep around in the shadows should be very afraid of HER now. I cannot wait for the novella to get to see her in action again!

I shall leave this review much like the one I wrote for the previous book by claiming Makwa and Brandon. Yes, I have decided there’s no choosing a favorite between the two and am keeping them both permanently. (Just don’t tell Ava that, chick scares me now haha!)

Seek & Find by Beatrix Hollow is a monster reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Michelle Price, Gregory Salinas, and Jay Alder. This is the third book in the Myths and Monsters series.

I love Beatrix's books! I devour the books and usually get done going what the heck did I just read? Can I read it again?!?

I was pulled in from the first book and couldn't help but binge the series. I really enjoyed getting Ava, Caspian, Mothman, Makwa, and Brandon's points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I originally read the book and was so excited when I saw it was coming to audio and I was not disappointed. Michelle, Gregory, and Jay did an amazing job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you like monster romances, paranormal romances, erotic horror romances, or reverse harem romances.

I loved every minute of this book!! We get back stories to Makwa and Pollux. I loved seeing Ava develop. She finally accepts who she is and is determined to not be a damsel in distress. Her love for her men fuel her power. And the love her men have for her leads them to accepting each other and the protection they all offer. This series was all about self acceptance and the old adage about things not always being as they appeared. Monsters come in all forms and shapes- some of them come in the most unsuspecting packages.
Beatrix Hollow has a way of immediately luring you in and not letting you go. Seek and Find is spooky, sexy, mysterious, and steamy with twisty turns. If you're looking for steam- they is plenty, including 'group activities'. 😉

Loved this series

There was A LOT happening in this book. Just when you thought things might become easier for the characters, even more was put in their path. It was a long and eventful journey but we finally did get that HEA. Sort of. There is going to be an extended epilogue novella that I am very much looking forward to.

This is definitely one of the better monster romances I have read. Very creative, not focused entirely on smut (although those can be enjoyable as well) and you can connect to the characters and their stories. I loved being on this adventure with these characters.

Mothman is still my favorite, especially after book 2, but you can’t help but fall in love with all the characters. They all bring something different to the story and the relationship and you will love seeing how they all change and become comfortable with one another.

A great trilogy. Congrats Beatrix!

monster loving explosion

Man this was an amazing ending to the series. Lots of action both in the plot and the relationships which I loved. It’s always a little funny to me how much time is made for nookie during impending disaster and being chased by bad guys. The spicy went up about 3 levels in this one and boy was is monster effing good. I really loved how the story progresses all the way out. Pollux is still my favorite but I really do love all the guys and I even liked Ava a little in this one.

Loved the entire series! I wasn't into monster smut before this but I think I am now 😂. At every new monster I was sure I was going to stop reading but I was just so attached. Who cared what they looked like, their personalities were just too fun.
I loved that the boys all liked each other by the end. Those bonus stories really tied the ending up well.
Literally the only thing that really bothered me was Ava's finger. Like why Brandon! I'm glad no one held it against him but man that sucked. Fun, dirty, crazy read.

Stopped reading at 47% and skimmed the rest. The series started to Diverge for me after book 2 with how the plot was going and with someother issue's I had. Still I continued on to book 3 though hoping it would get better and it hasn't. I know this is weird as hell but I have a thing about sword crossing in reverse harem 😅, I don't really care for it (and have yet to find one I love it in). Which is absolutely crazy cuz I love gay (m/m) romance and BL. Normally it's because a lot of the time the male leads are already pared and then find the female, which lead to the girl being an afterthought. I feel like in this instance it kinda comes out of nowhere, I mean Brandon had a boyfriend so maybe I would expect it from him but Cas only had eyes for Ava why would you force everyone to be bisexual. Can't we have a reverse harem where they can interact and have sex with Ava not each other. Maybe if the female lead was directing the situation 🤔 IDK I guess it just me. (Plus when Monthman thought of Cas sexual at first and a while after it made him want to puke because of how much cum he produced so I just don't see that relationship.) All that being said there were some cool ideas and elements. I really did enjoy some parts of these books. Certin scenes made me laugh, hold my breath in suspense and gasp.
