Learn to speak Italian in just three months with this practical and comprehensive self-study language course.
Whether you're a complete beginner or wanting to refresh your knowledge, Italian in Three Months will have you speaking Italian fluently in just 12 weeks. With a fresh new look and an accompanying audio app, the latest edition of this classic self-study course provides all the resources needed to speak, read, and write in Italian.
The 12 weekly chapters contain lessons on the key grammatical structures and present a range of useful vocabulary, along with exercises to reinforce your learning. The essentials of Italian grammar are clearly explained and tested in conversational exercises, giving you the authentic feel of the language. In addition to a written "imitated pronunciation" guide, which replaces Italian sounds with English syllables you're already familiar with, the new audio app also allows you to perfect your pronunciation - at home or on the go.
Whether you're learning Italian for work, a future holiday, or because you're interested in languages, this course is the perfect place to start. Learning Italian has never been so easy!
A very helpful and structured guide, but as with any language resource, it must be substantiated with other materials you have in your disposal.
The main critique I have is that there are several topics which I believe were taught much later than they should've been, namely: - Week 5: Likes and Dislikes (Mi piace/ Non mi piace) - Week 9: Present and Past Continuous (i.e. "stare per") - Week 10: Future Perfect and Past Conditional
This is a helpful resource to use for learning Italian, although I am not sure that you could learn the language fully solely from this book and audio. I think that if you were just looking to learn some limited language and also to gain a better understanding of the ethen it would do that, but to fully learn and become fluent then I think it would need to be used alongside another learning resource. Overall a useful language learning tool. My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this book in return for an honest review.
