Tempting love can be fatal—even for the most dangerous vampire in Savannah—in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Alyssa Day’s tantalizingly sexy romance…
Meara Delacourt loves being underestimated, especially when it comes to her enemies. Few know that the wealthy socialite and philanthropist is a 300-year-old master vampire—or the horror that rains down when her emotions spiral out of control. The consequences are nothing short of devastating. Which is why she can’t risk an attraction to the irritating, arrogant, and unbelievably hot Edge…even if she wanted to. And oh, she does.
Scientist-turned-vamp Edge knows exactly what it’s like to fear emotions. He keeps a tight rein on his, knowing that—thanks to being the subject of a cruel experiment—falling in love is an instant trigger for his death. Fortunately, he can control himself…he has no choice. But the golden, sexy-as-hell Meara is one temptation he can’t find a cure for.
Now they’re forced to fight the pull of their attraction, knowing that every moment of surrender brings them closer to the edge of disaster. But as the Chamber—a sinister organization of ancient warlocks—decides to seize control of Savannah, they’ll have no choice but to fight together, knowing it could spell doom for them all. Especially when the Chamber reveals the one secret that could end it all…
The Vampire Motorcycle Club series is best enjoyed in order. Reading Order: Book #1 Bane's Choice Book #2 Hunter's Hope Book #3 Redemption's Edge

Redemption’s Edge by Alyssa Day Vampire Motorcycle Club series #3. Conclusion. Paranormal romance. Can be read as a stand-alone. Book #1: Bane’s Choice Book #2: Hunter’s Hope
Meara Delacourt is a powerful 300 year old vampire, underestimated by her enemies. She keeps careful control of her emotions because she knows losing it can mean the death of thousands. Edge was a scientist with an orderly mind before he was turned into a vampire. He still doesn’t let emotion in when science can answer the question. He was used in a cruel experiment by the Chamber, the result of which means his head will literally explode if he lets love into his life. Good thing he can control his feelings. Their club of friends are close and all have agreed they must eliminate the threat they all face in the Chamber. It’s a sinister organization of ancient warlocks that have set their plans on control of Savannah. Dane, Edge and Meara help to lead the fight against their potential elimination.
Large cast as all characters from prior books are here to fight the Chamber. Edge has a dark and heartbroken history so won’t let Meara into his heart. He can’t do it again though his lust for her is unending. There is a lot of angst in the story, but there is also lots of love. The prior couples provide a good example of what love can do for them but Edge and Meara are stubborn. There is a lot of steamy chemistry between these two as they can’t keep their minds off the other. The whole goal is an ultimate battle to get rid of the Chamber and Neville, so even during the volleyball games and other entertainment, there is a darkness over the story. There is a lot of world building both in the beginning of the story and throughout the story. I enjoyed the tension, the romance, and the fight for good, as well as having all the full cast of the series involved, but I think the story was a lot longer than it needed to be. A great wrap up conclusion.
What an exciting conclusion to this series! Meara and Edge's relationship had been teased throughout the first two books in the Vampire Motorcycle Club series, and finally, we get to see them together.
Meara and Edge both have reasons keeping them from having a relationship, but ultimately, they can't fight their intense attraction and chemistry. Redemption's Edge is filled with angst, spice, and action-packed energy.
They're gearing up for a final showdown with The Chamber and Lord Neville with everyone they love's life on the line.
Thank you, Netgalley, and the publisher for allowing me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I actually finished this a couple of weeks ago but waited til I had time to do a review before marking it as read.
This was a new author for me. I haven’t read a lot of paranormal romances lately but this one was a solid read! Well developed characters and fast paced, both in action and steamy romance. This is a good read as a standalone but I will go back and read the first 2 in the series: Bane’s Choice and Hunter’s Hope to get a better background of the other main couple characters, The Chamber and Neville.
Meara is a 300 yr old powerful vampire who believes if she lets go of her extreme control of her emotions that thousands will die….it happened before and she never wants to hurt anyone ever again.
Edge is a scientist, before being turned, with a completely orderly mind and would rather use science to solve problems rather than let emotions rule his judgement. The Chamber experimented on him which ultimately will result in his head exploding, literally, if he ever allows love into his life!
The Chamber, a group of ancient warlocks set on dominating the world, currently have their sights on Savannah where Edge, Meara and the rest of their family call home.
A great ensemble of characters from the other books come together in Redemption’s Edge to fight The Chamber. Throughout the book, the other couples show Edge and Meara what love can do for them, even though they are both stubborn to the core. The chemistry between them is steamy and fun- I laughed at a lot of the banter between the two of them. A good sign for me that I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
I liked the world building that obviously continued in this 3rd book, allowing anyone to pick it up and read as a standalone. I felt the chemistry between all the characters was excellent- could tell they were a cohesive family working together. I loved the whole concept of fighting against evil thread woven into this romance novel!
A huge thanks to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing and Brittany Zimmerman for providing me a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review!
Four and a half Wow what a way to end this series ! I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these characters and from the very beginning Meera was a tough cookie who you just knew could end anyone and I do mean anyone. She's a character who acts tough ( because she is ) but is very complicated with a past that the author brilliantly brought to life in this book. Edge is quite newly turned and at heart he is very much a nerdy scientist but he knows what he wants . If he can have Meera as long as he doesn't " feel " everything should be fine, shouldn't it ? Well maybe not as there's what I could almost describe as a magical bomb in his head and that definitely isn't a fun thing. Just as well Meera doesn't want him or does she ? This wrapped up everything in style with paranormals of numerous types stepping up. I love the banter between these characters as it brings them to life. I don't think it's my favourite romance of the series because I found Bane to be an absolute hoot but cannot fault Edge for his perseverance and he turned out to be a sweetheart. I'd previously struggled a little to really like Meera but this story allowed her to shine and perhaps even mellow a smidge. The author doesn't just give us romance and steam though because there's a battle royal here that kept me eagerly turning the pages as the action kept on coming. This series has been fun to read and I loved that everything just kept building with tension, humour and of course romance. This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
Coming off an excellent read of Book 2, Hunters Hope, I was really looking towards Meara and Edges story. Redemptions Edge is a wonderful conclusion. Paranormal, sizzling scenes, angst, and Alyssa Days trademark humor in all things. No matter what life throws at the Vamps, Werewolves, Ghost Whisper, Angel Hybrid, Witches' and humans, there is always family, love, and humor. I would have been happy with a book 4, to give more of Luke's story and the Max and Carters story as the ending felt a little rushed, but loved the epilogue. Redemptions Edge had more highly charged intimate scenes, darkness and fast pace. Treat yourself to the series. #RedemptionsEdge #VampireMotorcyleClub #AlyssaDay #Entangled:Amara #NetGalley
This is an action-packed and romantic conclusion to the Vampire Motorcycle Club trilogy. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Meara and Edge’s story. They have such amazing chemistry, and their fighting is always filled with an incredible amount of sexual tension. I couldn’t wait to learn more about their history and their love story.
Meara and Edge have some serious reasons for staying apart, and it’s heartbreaking to learn of the dangerous consequences if they acted on their feelings. They genuinely care for each other, but with the experimentation done on Edge in the past and Meara’s secret that could prove deadly, their union seems impossible. Ooof, there’s so much angst between these two, and the chemistry is absolutely sizzling!
One of my favorite parts of this trilogy is the strong found family element. Meara, Edge, Bane, and all of the others form this wonderfully supportive (and badass) family, and there’s a lot of love and support among them. There are so many fantastic and unique personalities, and I enjoyed seeing what the protagonists from the other books in the series are up to. There are a couple of secondary characters who work for the motorcycle club that I adored, and it was great to see them have a slightly bigger role in this book.
The story also has a ton of action, danger, and intrigue, as the overarching plot comes to its epic conclusion. It’s intense and suspenseful but interspersed are some wonderfully tender moments and some really funny scenes, too. Add in the spicy romance and amazing friendships, and you have yourself a winner!
Special thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for providing me with a copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.
Conclusion of the Vampire Motorcycle Club series. Meara Master Vampire and Edge scientist turned Vampire must find a way to control their emotions. Edge has a ticking time bomb in his brain and Meara has seen the devastation that can occur when she lets her full emotions loose. Can love change this stalemate. The war with the enemy the Chamber is coming to a head and the stakes are all or nothing for the whole family of vampires, wolves, and witches. This is an exciting conclusion, but l would recommend reading the series in order you will enjoy it to the fullest. Thank you NetGalley and (publisher) for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
Arrggghhhh..... Continuity is something I look for in a series. When it's missing, especially important things like a main character from the previous book, who was Turned at the end, then in this book, she's human, it just kills the story. This is a problem I am seeing alot, especially with Indie authors. Plot boards, time-lines, and a real editor are things to be utilized. And doing the editing from a paper copy instead of a digital one would make so many books better. There is a reason they make red pens.

Exicting, entertaining, featuring a very sexy vampire: a paranormal romance according to my heart. I had a lot of fun and thoroughly enjoyed it Recommended. Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
Rating: 4.5/5 I received an eARC for my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed learning about the other vampires’ stories in the first two books, but getting to see the story told from the perspectives of Meara and Edge was amazing. I knew that this book would be interesting in the best way possible, it had drama, love, heartbreak, learning to trust oneself, and forgiveness for past actions.
I thought this book had some great world building, it also helps when you read the first two books and see the tension between these characters throughout the book but in the background. So, when I saw that I could finally understand why Meara and Edge kept pushing each other and understand them more I jumped on the chance.
I loved that Meara is a 300-year-old vampire, but she is still just a young lady that is looking for someone that can help her heal but at the same time she is scared that if she does, she will create another disaster like she did in her past. However, kicking this scientist named Edge, who is technically part of her family since her brother Bane turned him, is a lot harder than she ever would have thought. Meara goes through so much emotional trauma in this book but when you get to the ending you will see that everything happened the way that it was meant to be. Meara really doesn’t need a male or female in her life to protect her. She can do that all by herself, but who will be there to pick up Meara when she is spiraling or when she has hit her bottom?
Edge is a scientist at heart, and he loves being the nerd of the group, until he comes to the realization that he cannot use his smartest to help him overcome this ingestion every time he encounters Meara. At first, he doesn’t understand what is happening to him, but he starts to realize that he might be having more feelings for her than he wanted too, and it’s not just because she is Meara but because he literally has a ticking time bomb in his head. He is more so than ever to get this chip out of his head and take down the ones that threaten his life, and his family’s lives and there is nothing that will stop him, even himself.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will be getting another book from Day, and we will get to see Lukes’s story.
I want to thank NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to review this book.
This is book 3 on the Vampire Motorcycle Club and it can be read as a standalone, I did as I haven't read any of the previous books. I didn't realize it was part of a series, but I enjoyed it so I will be going back to read those. Especially when the Chamber reveals the one secret that could end it all.
Like I said above, I hadn't read any of the other books but I really liked this one. Meara and Edge have this chemistry together that you can't help but want to see more of. But they also have been through so much in their lives, and it makes them question what they could have. I loved how their story played out and how the other characters are truly their family. It's a little slow in some parts but for the most part, the story flows and goes pretty decently paced. And I am definitely going back and reading the rest because I really need all of their stories now as well! I don't want to say a lot and spoil it for anyone, but if you like vampire stories-you will definitely like this one!
I loved it! Meara is trying to keep from falling in love with Edge. 200 years ago, she had her heart broken & her rage & pain caused her to almost destroy Savannah. Her power enabling her to call down lightning. She has avoided relationships since. Edge, has been experimented on, by government scientists. He has believes any emotions like love will set off a bomb in his head. The Chamber has targeted the magicals of the U.S. The vampires & wolves have started working together to try to find the Chamber members. They decide to ask the witches to help as well. Edge tells Meara about why he was against love. They decide to try to find a way to remove the procedure. One of the witches tell him it's a blood spell she can sense. They catch the government agent who is after him & she tells them the lead Chamber member, Neville did it. Then Luke brings Sarah Neville to them, she is the member's daughter. She has been tortured & by imprisoned by her father for too many years. She is more than willing to help them put an end to him & the Chamber. Edge & one of the witches decides to see if her magic & his power can combine to locate the Chamber. They find out where they are holed up in a historical fort. They get some information about a UV weap0on from Neville's daughter. They gather all the magicals to take out the Chamber & their own wolves. When thinks she sees Edge die, she loses control. She starts to pull down lightning. He goes to her to let her know he isn't dead. He talks her out of it & but gets shot right in front of her. She thinks he's dead this time & decides to join him, with a knife in her throat. Hunter saved him & Ryan saved her. The one thing Edge's spell needed to end was for him to die. The witch told him the blood spell Neville had put on him was gone. Now, they are both free to love each other. He proposed to her at their volleyball game. There has been a new group of vampire, wolves & witches come together to guard against more of the Chamber & blood magic users. It's a great story!
This was a great read filled with tons and tons of suspense and drama, friendships, love, betrayals, love happiness revenge, and a ton of emotion.
Meara and Edge have been dancing around what they feel for one another for some time but, being together for each dangerous for both for totally different reasons and it becomes harder for them to stay away from one another. We loved that they were willing to explore things as they would make a wonderful couple. Meara needs to be wanted and loved other than her family. We loved Meara she was a fierce warrior and a protector of those she loved. She has so much to give her heart is huge and were are rooting for her to find love and happiness as her brothers have.
Edge is a character that constantly makes us smile. Meara sets the man off all kinds of kilter and it was hilarious to see. She makes him nervous, craves her closeness he feels things for her he should not but, for a man who was supposed to not be able to show or feel emotions was changing in small ways right before our eyes.
This paranormal romance was packed with suspense and drama from beginning to end. Loved the friendships and closeness of Meara's family with their witty banter with one another and the fierce love they had for each other and their partners or wives. Loved that this band of ancient vampires had become allies with other species of the paranormal race as they all had one common goal to defeat their enemies.
Overall this was a great conclusion to this ongoing series. The story drew you right in from the very beginning and kept you engaged to the bitter end. This series was fantastic with its memorable characters. You will love the surprises that pop up throughout it. Perhaps we will see a spin-off from this series and we are looking forward to it.
Passionate, paranormal story of love, loss and triumph Slow beginning but as we grow closer to the beginning of the war, the faster the story moves. This is the third book in this series of paranormal novels with vampires, one part-angel, werewolves, demons, witches and even a woman who sees ghosts. Hard to beat that cast of characters. They are fighting a powerful group named The Chamber who are trying to take over the world. Meara Delacourt is a 300yo vampire who was turned by her father. Why? There’s a story there. She was hurt in love and the result was catastrophic so she intentionally stays away from romantic situations, but she cannot stop thinking and watching the newly turned vampire, Sebastian Edgington aka Edge. He is a man of science and suffers from an emotionless existence other than rage or fury which he exhibits easily since his experiences as a guinea pig for a clandestine group of scientists. Showing affection is not one of his discernible traits but he is attracted to Meara. Hmmm… During Meara’s disturbing dream, is there a foreshadowing moment? I truly enjoyed this book but to be fair, the first two were more humorous, fast-paced and entertaining. The cover bothered me as well because Edge has shoulder-length white hair as a result of his captivity, not short dark hair. I loved Meara, a strong woman character and Edge who learns to feel. I cannot tell if this is the end of the series. We still could find out about Luke and Lady Sarah who came into the story at the end. Maybe? I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Entangled/NetGalley.
I'm sad to say that this one's only getting 3.5 stars because I think the world-building is solid and full of interesting details and characters. Still, I have a major dislike for martyr characters and both Edge and Meara take their suffering and sacrifice to the next level. Meara is used to being alone and taking care of herself, especially because she knows that her losing control can have deadly consequences. But she's in serious lust, maybe more, with brooding scientist vamp Edge. Meanwhile, Edge lives a life with as few emotions as possible not because he can't feel them, but because it will quite literally kill him to fall in love. A big problem because he finds Meara more alluring every time he sees her. They have to navigate their growing feelings while facing off against the foe that is threatening all of Savannah and has had a hand in every dangerous and sinister situation they and their loved ones have been involved in. It's a race against time to get their enemies before they get them, all while fighting their growing feelings and the knowledge that the other is better off alone. The plot is interesting and fast-paced, with great moments pushing towards a violent and exciting final battle that is a worthy conclusion to this third act. But Meara and Edge spend so much time moping about how they're doomed to die alone because of things from their past that they can't change or are unwilling to face and it got a little grating. I get adding some drama and conflict, only there's so much I can take when it's mostly 'woe is me' brooding.
Happy thanks to NetGalley and Entangled: Amara for the broody, adventure-filled read!
This is the final book for the Vampire Motorcycle Club series and while I enjoyed the complex plot and all of the secondary characters to get to this climax, something was lacking that didn't light a fire for me while reading it.
Meara Delacourt is a tough woman. Hardened by her long life and vampire ways. It hasn't been easy to survive as long as she has without her tough outer shell and there aren't many people she would even consider lowering it for. Edge is one of those who could make it past her walls, only if he lowered his own at the same time. These two are both running from a past, danger is extremely high for both of them and, their strong will made it difficult to see any vulnerability because of it. I think there in lies the problem, at least it did for me. Two people who were just too similar to bend in any direction didn't offer a lot of wiggle room for feelings. They knew too much, but also not enough when it came to softness or love. It was hard to connect when they pulled away over and over again.
However, like I said, fighting the Council, the over-all-plot of suspense, and just having the intense pressure of will Edge die if he actually falls for Meara was very good. Hence the four stars, but their connection just didn't connect for me like I was hoping it would. I also loved having the wolves in the story, which always adds some comedy along with amping up the other paranormals which also made the story exciting and moved the suspense.
This is a series to read in order to get the most enjoyment out of the books.
This is a thrilling conclusion to the Vampire Motorcycle Club series!
We get this story from the perspectives of Meara and Edge. Meara is a 300-year-old vampire, and Edge is the newer addition to their family turned by her brother Bane. He's a scientist who spent time captured and experimented on by the chamber. Though it takes place before this book, it greatly affects him as a person, and has more consequences than anyone else was aware of. While Meara has spent her time mostly alone besides her brother, she has her own secret she's been keeping.
I completely enjoyed this! Meara and Edge are both closed off for different reasons, so not as much of their emotions are spoken, but their chemistry is off the charts. They're incredibly alike in their need to protect others and sacrifice themselves first for others. The action building their relationship and their search and fight with The Chamber built beautifully throughout the book. All of the characters were relatable and wonderful. I hope someday we get more of their stories.
This book can be read as a standalone, but you definitely miss out on a lot of the background with the Chamber, the other couples, and even the beginning to the romance between Meara and Edge, so I would read the others first.
I was lucky to receive an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher before release!
Another enthralling paranormal romantic suspense, The third in this series and the suspense is intense! As the Chamber endeavour to take over using blood magic The consequences for Savannah would be tragic.
With local paranormals working together at last They're hoping the evil warlocks will soon be in the past. But first they need to find them - where are they now? Then make a plan to thwart them somehow.
Meera believes falling in love is a huge danger As when things go wrong her emotions act stranger. It happened once before, causing disaster And she's felt fearful and so guilty ever after.
Edge was subject to experimental treatments To quash any emotions were their intents. He knows that love he must not feel For it will be fatal, his fate it would seal.
With emotions running high and attraction growing strong How can these two risk romance or even get along? With the danger for themselves and others growing, too, Can they resist or will love help them through?
A story of new collaborations, magic and mystery, Helping to write a new chapter in history. With romance, danger, battles and more Beware what the Chamber will make them endure.
Such a great read, I have no hesitation to say I hope you also read and enjoy it one day! For my complementary copy, I say thank you, As I share with you this, my honest review.
I absolutely loved this book! Meara is a butt kicking female vampire who has lived for hundreds of years and is afraid to get too emotionally attached to anyone because she could lose control and her powers could destroy the earth. Edge was turned by Meara’s brother Bane, who almost died when turning him and his brother into vampires. Edge is a scientific genius but has something in his brain that will explode if he falls in love so has become more detached from people. Their attraction to each other could be deadly. While trying to fight their attraction, they are trying to find and destroy a man and the group of evil warlocks that he leads called the Chamber, unless the Chamber gets to them first. Although you could read this as a standalone without a problem, you would be missing out on other amazing stories that only add to this epic finale. I am sad there won’t be any more to this series because it is truly a wonderful, well built world with fantastic characters. Their friendships, struggles, humor, passion and love are all so realistic and have all the feels that make you not want it to end. I seriously can not recommend this book enough. I highly recommend the whole series. Alyssa Day is an amazing author and all of her books fantastic so check them out!
This book is the conclusion to the Vampire Motorcycle Club series and it wraps the series up beautifully. This series should be read in order or you will feel like you have missed so much background to the characters that are in this story. The world building in this trilogy is incredible and well thought out. There are pieces of the various supernatural histories woven within the story that keeps you informed of the background that helped and hindered the main characters.
The main story is focused on Meara and Edge. Meara is a 300 year old vampire, while Edge is fairly recently turned. Meara and Edge have many things that are keeping them from each other. There are many conflicts that Meara and Edge have to face before they reach their HEA. One of them is destroying The Chamber - a group of magic users set out to control the world. The characters are well developed and several characters from the previous books play major parts in this story. This is an action-packed plot with fascinating, caring characters who will do anything to protect the people they love.
This was a fun, fast-paced, heartfelt read and was a great conclusion to the series.
Thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for this ARC.
In this Alyssa Day book, the main couple of vampires that are dealing with a villainous group as well as their feelings for each other. The vampiric couple are attracted to each other, but their pasts are keeping them from pursuing a romantic relationship. They thought that they can just have sexual relations with each other, but deeper feelings appear. Now they must tackle what their relationship should be as they faced against the villains that want to control the city of Savannah.
This is the conclusive book for the VAMPIRE MOTORCYCLE CLUB series. This was a nice end to this paranormal romantic series that should be read in order as there is a series premise in all the books that had a satisfying ending in this story. I liked the main couple, but I really enjoyed reading about the secondary characters, especially the couples from the previous books in the series. It would have been nice to have a bit more details in certain areas of the story, but this book is still an enjoyable read. Overall, an entertaining series from an author that I look forward to reading more works in the future.
** Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions and thoughts in the review are my own. **
Alyssa Day was a new-to-me author with the first book in this series, Bane’s Choice. She came highly recommended, so I thought I’d try it. I like vampire romances, but I’m always iffy on MC romance. So far, the books are heavy on the vampire element and very light on the MC, which is perfect for me. While the books are marketed as interconnected standalones in a series, I disagree. Too much of the characters’ backstories and the underlying mystery continuing through all three books make it necessary to read them all in order.
Unfortunately, I was conflicted with the plot and main character of the first book, leaving a lot to be desired. However, book two made it all worth it. I felt like I had a much better understanding of the main characters’ backstories and the plot was a good bit more interesting, making me quite glad I didn’t give up on the series after book one. And that brings us to this book. Overall, I felt like this one wrapped up the series well. (At least it seems as if this is the final book…) While I felt as if Bane’s story was lacking, the last two books made me happy I didn’t give up on the series’ potential. Moving forward, I look forward to reading more from this author.
I gotta be honest and admit that I accidentally skipped book # 2 in this series. That being said, it proves you can dive right in without needing the backstory completely! I'm sure you appreciate it more if you read them in order, but everyone likes a bit of flexibility in their reading.
Maera is a tough as nails master vampire who is determined to destroy an evil warlock group called the Chamber. Things appear to be going in the right direction for that part, but she seems to be getting a little distracted by a particular member of their group. Edge was a scientist in life and is channeling that logical, emotionless part of his brain into his whole being now that he's a vampire. Some horrible experimentation by yet another evil group has led him to believe that he will die if he experiences true love. Romantic, right?
These two really sizzle but try their hardest to fight against the draw. Does it work? Of course not! It all comes to a head when there's a big showdown with this book's big bad. There's all sorts of shockers throw in there but we do eventually come out of this with a happily ever after. As someone who sometimes avoids a motorcycle club book, this was definitely worth overlooking that!
I’m not sure how the author could write a third book in an only three-book series and get things so messed up. First of all, poor Alice, the main female character from the second book, Hunter’s Hope, was changed to a vampire by Hunter in order to save her life. Yes, she is also a ghost whisperer but in this third book that’s ALL she is and she is described as a HUMAN who needs protection. Then there’s the cover – a nice looking DARK HAIRED MAN when, in all THREE books, Edge is described as a man with longer WHITE HAIR which turned that color due to all the torture he went through. The author somehow neglected to correct these things but wasn’t there staff to do, oh I don’t know, proofreading – editing – someone to correct these blatant errors? As another reviewer stated, it was unnecessarily long. Edge shouldn’t have emotions or he would die (but he DID have them). Meara couldn’t get involved in a relationship or she would destroy Savannah again (but she didn’t destroy Savannah again and found she could control her power). Then there were Carter and Max, the alpha and beta werewolves who weren’t allowed to have a relationship – until all of a sudden Max was engaged to marry Carter. I’m keeping books 1 and 2 to possibly reread at a future date. Book 3 is already GONE.
Redemption’s Edge by Alyssa Day is book 3 in the Vampire Motorcycle Club and tells the story of Meara and Edge. Thiers is a complicated yet passionate relationship, especially since both characters try and stay apart from each other, mainly due to consequences if they ever got together. Edge has reasons due to the experimentation done to him and Meara has a secret that she hopes that Edge doesn’t find out….see how complicated their relationship is!
As with the previous books, this one also has a lot of action, suspense and passion with the element of family being at its core, whether it is made or found. The Vampire MC are still trying to get rid of the Council and the Council are set on annihilating them add into this the intense pressure Edge feels for falling for Meara (its literally a killer!) but with lots of complications comes a great story and end to a series.
If you like vampires, werewolves and everything in between, then you’re going to not only enjoy this book, but also this whole series!
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
Merea is a vampire that lives in a castle with her brother and several more vampires and other supernatural. They are trying to take down the Chamber, a group that is taking supernaturals powers and torturing them. Merea is attracted to Edge but is afraid of her powers. Edge is a scientist and a vampire that the head doctor of Chambers put some kind of device in his brain that will explode if he feels feelings, especially love. He and his brother were almost killed but were saved by being Turned. Edge lives at the mansion with Merea and the rest. Edge and Merea decide to have one night together, surely they won’t fall in love in one night? But the chemistry between them is astronomical. Merea is keeping a secret about her powers and doesn’t want to put her family and friends at risk. When they finally locate the Chamber, could it be a battle to the death? Loved this story. Action. Sex. Secrets. Awesome friends. Will keep you hooked from the first page.
In Redemption's Edge by Alyssa Day, Meara Delacourt and Edge gives new meaning to forbidden love. The concluding story in the Vampire Motorcycle Club brings these two together fighting against the evil that plans to take over. Besides fighting the enemy they find that they are also fighting their attraction, feeling and desire for each other to no avail in the end. I found the mystery not if they would defeat the enemy but would their love destroy them. Characters from the first two novels make appearance along with some other paranormal beings in this fight against the true evil.
Motorcycle Clubs are not my favorite type of books but these are excellent. It seems that vampires do it better. Perhaps reading the books in order would enhance the enjoyment of this one. That’s what I did but then someone else may enjoy this one on its own.
An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A satisfying conclusion to the series. We learn more about Meara and Edge and why they each fight their attraction so hard. But surprise, surprise the harder they fight it, the harder they fall.
Meara Delacourt loves being underestimated, especially by her enemies. The wealthy socialite and philanthropist is a 300-year-old vampire, who can unleash terror when her emotions spiral out of control. Which is why she can't risk falling for the arrogant, unbelievably hot scientist Edge.
Edge knows what it's like to fear emotions. A cruel experiment means he must keep a tight rein on his emotions. If he falls in love it can trigger his death instantly. But the temptation of Meara is proving to be too much for the scientist-turned-vampire.
Each is fighting the pull of their attraction because surrendering to it could be disastrous. But with the Chamber closing in on them, they must fight together, even though it spell doom for them all.
Thank you so much to the author and Entangled for this ARC to review.
This book is a great way to wrap up the series with the focus on Meara and Edge and their story . The Chamber . a group of ancient warlocks , are set to dominate the paranormal world and have set their sights set on Savannah , where Meara and the rest of her family call home . With Edge fighting his feelings for Meara , after the Chamber experimented on him his head will explode (literally) if he gives in to love , it will take all the others who have overcome their own difficulties to show him that love will overcome all ! Stubborn does not begin to describe both Edge and Meara but they will have to work together to find their own 'forever' and defeat the Chamber once and for all . The final battle for the future is upon them , can they survive ?
The Author has managed to bring together all her couples and their battles with fate and love to provide an ending to her series that should satisfy even the most ardent reader - a thoroughly enjoyable book I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own
Meara and Edge’s are the ultimate in opposites attract. She is the centuries old, Vampire warrior and former French aristocrat. Edge is the ultimate science geek. He was experimented on until he managed to free himself and his brother. Every time these two are around each other there are literal sparks between them but they both have a very real reason to not give in to the attraction.
They both know that the other is there all but Mears has a real problem with harnessing hew extra talents and Edge has had all his feelings trained out of him - or so he thinks. The banter and insults are witty and inventive. Once the floodgates open between them though, the chemistry ramps to 1000.
This found family just keeps getting bigger. The VMC is now mixing with werewolves, humans and magic users. The volleyball games are between them are very EXTRA! The secondary characters such as Mr & Mrs C really round out the family feel. They may be Vampires but they still love, empathise and want to take care of those they love.
There is a fitting end to Lord Neville and there are more than a few surprises along the way. I know that this may be the end for VMC as a series but I really hope that it won't be the last we see of this motley crew!
