Both of them are mine. I will protect them with my life. Nothing will ever touch them again.

Twenty years old, and her life is in ruins. Completely and totally ruined. At least that's how it feels. She's penniless, jobless, a single mother with a car that is on its last leg—rattling its way into the mechanic garage.

She runs toward a stranger in an effort to save herself.

Bowie only cares about partying, cars, motorcycles, and the club that he calls family. He doesn't do complications and especially doesn't do relationships. Free and easy is the way he lives his life, and he likes it like that.

When she walks into the mechanic garage, the entire club turns upside down.

2 ⭐⭐ - Meh!
=============
I see cheating and suffering in our heroine's future. Will she be the sweet old lady who takes it all? Let's wait.

I should not fuck her anymore. I should stay the fuck away because I know without a doubt she’s going to give me nothing but headaches. But easy pussy is easy pussy, and I’m all down for easy most days.

“Old Lady or not, I still want you. Fuck me dirty, then go home to her smelling like me.” That shit should absolutely not be a goddamn turn-on. But I’m only a man and never claimed to be anything else.

Whores, club girls, or random town sluts do not interact with old ladies. It’s not done. Penny knows her goddamn place. As soon as I told her I had a woman, she shouldn’t have shown up at my work.

“You’re really going to give up free, easy pussy, and stay saddled down to the same old cunt? Someone who already has a kid.”

“The girls that are at the clubhouse, that’s what the place is called, right?”

“Now that we’re together, are you going to stop sleeping with them?”

“I can’t promise you that. Does it make me a dick, yeah, it does. Do you deserve better, yeah, you do.”

Family - There is NO cheating (for those who said there was)

First I like to state that I love the cheating trope, so when I saw the reviews saying there was I was ready! Then disappointment, I have NO idea what book they read but Bowie never cheated.

Lu was a wife of a military man Soren when he goes MIA, after over year she is made to leave their housing and no longer receives any benefits.

She goes to Texas to find her father for help. Hank the President and her father makes a great grandfather. Bowie teaches Lu what a real family is finally like.

The beginning started good. Love a damsel in distress. MC lite as far as violence goes for a biker book. Not too angsty either. A lot of story points are pretty far fetched and don’t make sense but hey, guilty pleasure read. 😉 three and a half stars.

This was a good story, but I was disappointed with certain aspects. In the beginning, Luella has the strength to do what was right for her daughter and go to see the father she didn't know for help. However, it seemed like she traded her dependency from her husband to Bowie without attempting to stand on her own at any point. She lives in his home with him buying food and clothes and using his truck. If it doesn't work out with the MC, she is right back where she started. Also, Bowie doesn't cheat on Luella, but the suggestion is made that he could because those are MC rules. At one point, he thought it would be hot to hook up with a club girl and then go home to Luella. He never specifically tells her he will be faithful. I like my HEA's to be a little more clear cut.

It physically pains me to give a Hayley book a 3 star rating because I absolutely love her books. But this one just didn't do it for me.

The whole book felt super rushed to me and more fluffy then her other MC series ( nothing wrong with that). I had a hard time believing their relationship because it went from 0 to 60 in like 2 pages. With that being said she definitely captured my attention with some of the side characters and I will definitely be reading the upcoming books in the series. So all in all a solid start to a new series, just not a homerun for me.

I was gifted an arc copy of this book and in return this is my honest review.

P.S. There is zero cheating in this unless I recieved a different copy🤣

A Little Dirty, Rough & Sexy!

No complaints really.. There were few inconsistency with one section of this book but other than that I enjoyed it! I appreciated that there was medium angst and not overly complicated situations that the heroine and hero had to go through just to try to make the storyline longer or interesting. Overall, it was pretty much what I expected for a Biker MC romance... A little rough and dirty but down right sexy!

Overall Rating:
3.5* ~ A Good Read

H is such a rough character, it’s hard to like him.

Really struggled liking the H. He never seemed to really care about the h, and there was nothing that made him multidimensional. Plus he hits, women which just, no.

Run girl, run.

First book in a brand new MC series and I loved it!

Luella is young, afraid and heartbroken. Bowie’s just the man to mend her heart. Some great plot twists and angsty drama from a Club Whore kept me hooked from the very first page.

Special mention of her adorable toddler Magnolia. Plenty of super sweet moments with her and the M.C. guys.

Definitely looking forward to reading more from this series.

I received an arc of this book.

August/Bowie and Luella 3.75
I’ve already read books 2 and 3 but I got the boxed set and decided to start from the top. There’s no cheating— This is an easy sort of read a book that you can easily put down but is still good enough to keep you reading. I didn’t skim that much but it did lose me towards the end. Luella has a toddler and her husband is MIA and presumed dead by military. She lives in base housing and has no family. She was abandoned by her father when she was a baby but knows where he is and that he’s a n a MCC. She heads to Texas. Her father Hank is the Prez, he’s a bit shocked but knows she’s his daughter. Bowie is there when she shows up and it’s Instalust for him. He takes her to his house while Prez gets over his shock. Bowie aka August and Luella set up house pretty quick. There’s really not a lot of angst. There’s a club whore who tries to start some drama and the usual MCC stuff. No third act break up. Hea

Guys... I'm addicted to MC books and guess the way I was feeling when this amazing author wrote one...
I was on cloud nine... Happy.
Hayley Faiman has given me some pretty stellar books and to top it all... She's writing an MC series... Hell yeah
Her writing can be sweet and beautiful as well as raw and wild... Just see for yourself.
Ruin my Life is her latest release and it's the first book from the Nasty Bastards MC series.
This new book explores the lives of Luella and Bowie.
Luella is at her lowest. Without a home, a job, and money, her only reason to live is her daughter.
Now she needs the find her father and hope he can help her get on her feet again.
When she enters his mechanic shop...
Bowie is the ultimate playboy. He's into all the will and fun stuff and doesn't do relationships.
But when a sweet thing enters the garage...
I knew just by reading the blurb that I was going to love this book and I wasn't wrong.
Amazing plot, well written, super engaging, and dark.
Each chapter was even more addictive than the previous and I couldn't stop reading.
The characters worked perfectly with each other and I loved Magnolia. She's a sweetheart and I hope to hear more about her in the next books.
There were parts of the book that I wanted to slap someone silly, stubborn much? But then, there were others that I wanted to hold them and promise better days.
How can someone be so insecure? In this case, she was because her life wasn't easy and trust isn't something that comes quickly. On the contrary, you have to build a relationship with said person and then, trust will come.
Guys, some stellar hot stuff into the mix... Oh boy...
This book was amazing and I can't wait for the next books to arrive.
Will it take long Hayley? I hope not. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Honestly? Story feels unfinished. Also, not used to ol' ladies not having a say in their man's life. Like not at all. It's a rule in their MC. He basically tells Lu he'll cheat on her and there's not a damn thing she can do about it. I see heartbreak in her future. The worst part? Is when Penny, a clubwhore as they're called, tells him to f*** her and then go back to Lu smelling like her. His response? Something along the lines of, "not going lie, but that's sexy as hell." Seriously?!!!!! He's supposedly in love with Lu? Yeah, I think not. She's more like a possession. Yikes. So I'm expecting zero grovel from the H's in this particular series when they do cheat. Also, the whole mafia, undead husband just wasn't written well. I'll probably continue this series just to see if Bowie cheats on Lu. Yeah, I know. I'm a masochist. What can I say?

OH what a gritty way to start a new series but with so much passion and intense emotions! Luella is trying to start again, Bowie isn’t really looking for that commitment, especially with a woman with a child. But there was something magical with these two that just connected at the right moment. There are a lot of twists and turns plus epic club drama that add to the depth of this story and honestly, I am really hoping we get more from parts of it. I am looking forward to seeing what more this club will bring. It sizzles, makes you laugh and swoon and so much more!

I just wanna know where all the money went to for a year 😂 that’s literally all I care about after reading this.

Kept my attention.

Didn’t love it or hate it.

Wouldn’t surprise me if she writes him into a future book and he’s cheating on the h.

I am beginning to think MC books may not be for me. Women basically have to put up with what ever their men say. That being said this story was not bad

Started out promising, then went downhill steadily after Bowie and Luella starting sleeping together. In the end I just felt sorry for Lu, because like so many of these “romances”, if the h wasn’t in such a shit situation to begin with they wouldn’t settle for these weak Hs.

Bowie is living the MC life to the fullest when Luella stumbles into his life. She comes looking for her deadbeat dad who’s the President of the MC. For some reason (I guess she’s hot?) Bowie wants to claim Luella. Luella’s got a toddler and an MIA husband in the military who turns out to be alive and just AWOL. Not even going to get into that ridiculous storyline. The book lost me when H fucks a clingy club whore at the garage he works at, even after he knows he’s falling for h.

Fast forward to a scene AFTER H claims h. Undeterred, the club whore proceeds to proposition H {“Old Lady or not, I still want you. Fuck me dirty, then go home to her smelling like me.” That shit should absolutely not be a goddamn turn-on. But I’m only a man and never claimed to be anything else.}

Later, the same club whore let’s h know she’s been with H daily. Luella is understandably pissed and storms away. Club whore then tells H “I just want security. Don’t care how it comes. You want to fuck me. I love to fuck you. I’ll never say another word to her again.” Her offer is tempting, but I also know it to be bullshit.

He backhands her a minute later.👎

If that isn’t enough, H tries to explain club life to h with the help of one of the other old ladies. Bottom line is- he’ll TRY to be faithful, old ladies have no say in anything except what their old man allows and yeah, that’s no HEA. That sucks.

1 smacking ⭐️.

The author’s plot driver was an attempt to normalize men hitting women. I’m done with giving a pass on abuse toward women in books written for a largely female demographic. I am all for escapism and I love a dominant alpha-hole. This is not that. Do not write the main love interest as someone who hits a “club slut” to her knees because she didn’t know her place. Then expect me to be good with our lead female character finding her HEA with this same man because he “fu*#d up & he’s sorry”. Nope I’m not the one for that. Stop writing this BS it is never ok to hit or inflict violence on women and be considered the good guy. Hayley Faiman, write better men because if this is what you have for me I can find other authors. I’m not asking for sticky sweet ever after. I read & love Kim Jones FFS. I’m just done with reading about violent men who treat women like crap on the written page and then be expected to accept them as the good guy for a plot point.

So I’m not going to say I loved this book. I am definitely going to read the next book. I just wish the H would have reassured the h about not cheating in the future. Im not a fan of books where the h just accepts that he might cheat in the future and she’s just to accept it as “part of their life”! I understand if he screws up before they are together together but to say he can cheat later on…..fuck that! Once they are together I want him to stay faithful-END OF STORY!

I either really like or really loathe HF's books & this was a LOATHE! I can deal w/a bit of OW drama or an early on cheat (couple not had relations yet or broke up), but not when it continues & the grovel is near zero! yuck

I truly believe this author has real issues with hating other women cause 90% of her h's are complete doormats & TSTL!

Not my fav Hayley Faiman read. This seemed a little rushed at the end. I’ll read the next in the series to see if it picks up. Other reviewers claim H cheats but he doesn’t. So keep that in mind.

Want more....

While I enjoyed this book I was not the biggest fan of the characters. I'm not sure what it was about them but they were kind of hard to connect with. Great story line and I look forward to more from the NBMC. Hopefully we will get more of the club in the next book

Just ok

Not one of my favorites from Haley Faiman. I didn't care for any of the characters. The H was a jerk, the h had no personality. Typical club ho drama. Even the kid did nothing but play blocks.
Ill check it the next one because I normally love her books.

This was a pretty quick read for me. I’m not sure if this is a spin-off series, but it did feel like some couples may have had a book previous this one.

This was an enjoyable read, but I just didn’t really feel any connection between Bowie (aka August) and Luella. Essentially everything relationship wise took place in about 3 days and it was just too unrealistic for my standards. If I’m being honest most of this book was bit far fetched, but I really loved the family aspect of it.

Luella is a somewhat widow (military husband declared MIA) who needs help and she decides to take her young daughter to meet her grandfather, the man who abandoned Luella as a baby. Hank, the Prez, is her father and the first meeting doesn’t go so well and Bowie steps up to help Luella and the baby, Magnolia. I thought him temporarily giving her help was really sweet until he decided it was okay to get in bed with her while she was sleeping (that’s so creepy, they just met! And you think it’s okay to sneak in and get bed with someone because she might be the one).

Also, not a fan of him banging Penny, the club whore, and then going home and banging Luella; they were not a actual couple yet, but still that’s just nasty. Of course, they have crazy Penny pepping and causing problems which leads to Bowie slapping the shit out of her. Luella saw that and had some issues with it and she should, but again they are a MC and the my have their own rules, but does her father explain it? No. Does Bowie explain it? No. They have Ivory, an old lady and good friend, do it after a whole bunch crap happens.

Then Luella’s husband comes back from the dead! His name was Soren and apparently his family had ties to LA Mafia. I’m still not sure why he faked his death and came back, his explanation was not clear because he kept acting like a schizophrenic. It was just a whole lot of drama and I’m not sure what in the world that was about. Will there be fall out? Who knows we then moved on to Bowie being kidnapped by mercenaries who were sent by a guy that owed the MC money and they took his building he put up as collateral.

The man apparently used his daughter as payment, but Bowie got out with the daughter and all was well. Then 6 months later Luella and Bowie are getting married; so essentially this whole story took place in about 7 months including the first epilogue that took place 6 months later.

Luella is a poor young military widow whose husband is MIA and supposedly Killed in Action with no body and her military stipend about to end she has no where to go. Luella married young and has no education and has never held a job with a young baby what can she do? She has no family...or does she? She has a father whom she has never met before and who her mother told her to stay away from. About to be kicked out of her military housing condo, she really has no other option. Driving down to Texas with only a few dollars to her name, Luella and her baby go try and find the man that is her father. She only knows he's in an MC in Texas. Their first meeting is a disaster and with literally no where else to turn she's out of options until she meets Bowie. Attracted to each other from the beginning, Bowie decides to help Luella out and try to give his Prez a few days to figure out what he wants to do. Only Luella has someone stalking her. Who is after a single military widow who has not a penny to her name and why doesn't her husband's family want anything to do with them? I kind of figured out a little bit early who the stalker is, but the whole reasoning behind it was a twist I didn't see coming. I thought Luella was a little too naive maybe because she married too young but she really was a little tstl. There is of course biker bunny drama which I thought the Prez should have handled especially when she disrespected Luella in front of him, but whatever drama is drama. Then there is the usual MC business that goes south and causes further drama. The side characters were good. This is a typical MC book there isn't really anything to really set apart from the others. A good start to the series not in love with either of the main characters and honestly they are really kind of forgetful. Only character I loved was the baby Magnolia.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I want to start by saying I keep coming back to this author because I like her style of writing. I think the stories have such potential. My problem? I just can't get past is the cheating in her books. I can take cheating as long as it brings something to the story and the couple grow and truly find love. Is there cheating in this book? Not physical, but it is implied through the book that Bowie has no plans to stay faithful.
Case in point: When the woman who he was tempted to cheat with the night before shows up the next day, the club girl and Bowie argue while Luella is in the office behind them, the OW says she will be happy to still be his side piece. And Bowie is tempted by her offer, And feels he wants that, a woman on the side, but didn't feel it should be her because she would tell Luella. Plus, he tells her he will TRY to be faithful, that's not love. Luella is his possession, nothing more. It's not sexy to cheat on the woman you say you love. Who would want a man like this?
Does this sound like a man who has fallen for Luella? If this is how he feels this early in the relationship what is Luella going to be dealing with later? I wanted her to run, find someone who will truly love her completely.
I want so much to read about a MFC in one of these books who walk away and makes the man grovel to have her back, who will be faithful.

The author did a great job with this story. It was fast paced and kinda insta-love, but it worked for these characters. The heroine had been though a lot on her short life, and I love that she found a soft spot to fall with her adorable daughter. Our hero was super sweet on Luella and her daughter. I love that he didn’t fight the attraction and just went with the flow.

When it comes to the plot the author really surprised me. I didn’t expect some things to happen and I loved that. Most of the time I’m really good at guessing what’s going to happen and I was a little surprised which is always a plus for me as a reader.

We meet other characters in this new MC and I can’t wait to see where some of these stories are going to go. I really hope we don’t have a long wait to get the Prez’s book. I love hot older (I mean 40s isn’t old at all, but I’m hopi kg her gets with a woman his daughter age!) men and when it comes this authors MC series, they never disappoint. I’m giving it 4.5 stars because while o loved it, I would have liked some more back story on our lead character. I felt like I knew them, but at the same time I didn’t. Their pasts were a little glossed over in a way. 4.5 stars #2OCCJD

GREAT NEW SERIES!

I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it at first but the more I kept on reading the more I got sucked in. I'm still not sure how I feel about Luella's character, she has the strength to take off on her own with her little daughter Magnolia or Mags as she sometimes calls her. Talk about cuteness overload, she's adorable. When Luella shows up at her estranged fathers mechanic shop I wasn't sure what kind of greeting she was gonna get. Well needless to say everyone was shocked but Austin took one look at her and it was turn off the oven baby this Turkey is done. Lol. Lu also has an instant attraction to him. At times the suspense gets pretty intense and at times I couldn't read fast enough to find out what was gonna happen next. I have to say though that Luella's character is so meek that it was sometimes irritating how she questions everything. She's been alone for so long but it's like she in a whole new world or something, but then I guess it is, the MC world is all new to her. When the ghost shows up and explains what happened I was like WTF?! So now I'm thinking that the Nasty Bastards are gonna eventually get a visit from California. I can't wait to find out. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
