When I first heard the title I was excited and eagerly expectant to read it. Great title. The topic however was too heavy for young children aged 7 + years. Especially when you then add pictures to it.
Yes children obviously live through those types of experiences but they shouldn’t dwell on it.
There are children who if they had read this book would have traumatised resulting in behavioural problems and nightmares.
The other part that didn’t make sense was the robot asking “Are you a woman?” If it was asking the question- where is the follow up to it?
Nowhere else did they talk except to the girl and that was the question, why put it in there at all?
When Claudia-Rose remembers her mother’s teaching - praying to God about her problems and trusting in him and later helping her sister and neighbors , this was great.
I liked that the story could also be used as a study with relevant bible verses.
This is more suitable to an older child.

At first, I thought the content was heavy for a kid, however, when I consider what kids are exposed to nowadays, I changed my mind. Kids are being victims of school shootings, or at least hearing about them. Kids are exposed to violence in their homes, theirs schools, their communities, on tv, on video games. Kids today, have to deal with so much fear and violence. I think this book really teaches how to pray when one feels scared. It teaches how to rebuke evil, and put one's trust in God. It teaches kids how to pray for themselves as well as others. There is so much kids can learn from this book. This book is a tool that kids can use for the rest of their lives, it teaches them how to overcome fear and trust in God. That is something everyone needs to learn. I can't wait to read this to my granddaughter.

Throughout the story, Claudia-Rose learns to cast out her fear and place her trust in God. She learns that he will never abandon her and that God has created a lot of difficult situations but for those who place their trust in him they will overcome.

Overcomers is an excellent book for young children. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it to my young grandchildren. I especially enjoyed at the back of the book the Hebrews II chapter. It’s so convenient to be able to read one of the verses and then refer to a section in the story where that verse is applicable. Thus Overcomers is not only a story for young children but also a lesson book.

What a wonderful book of faith. When Claudia is approached by a man who tells her if she is a woman he will kill her, she takes off running. Running away isn't enough. She prays for God to protect and hide her. She then races to warn everyone she sees. As she nears home she sees her sister running toward danger. Once she catches up to her sister she sees how much faith her younger sister has. They both pray for the safety of their friends and family members while danger passes them by. This is a wonderful book complete with scripture that tells us why we should not be afraid. I will recommend this to everyone I see as well as check out any other books by this author.

I thought it was an excellent children’s book. The illustrations were wonderful.
The little girl was amazing how she remembered her mother teaching her about trusting God. The way she prayed and used her head to think about what was happening. Then meeting her younger sister who spoke quietly to her how to help the situation. Excellent

Although this is a children's book the message is for any age. With the way our country is failing this story is a reminder that God is still in control. Because of our faith we do not need to fear what is to come. This is a story I will share with my Grandson when he is older. I'm looking forward to reading more of your faith based stories.

The book has a good message but needed to be toned down for children. There are already too many guns in the world where children are hearing about dangerous situations. I taught school for 28 years and have seen children afraid of world happenings. God is definitely the answer but make the message a little less scary.

This is a good book for children to learn about trusting in God. It is also very relevant in today's world considering what is going on in the world today. I really enjoyed the fact that you were wanting to find out what happens next! The little girl in the story really showed that Jesus was leading her.

The book really was suspenseful. I wanted to keep reading to see what happened next. I love that Claudia Rose keeps pushing and praying throughout the story. Bonus: the scriptures at the end of the book.

Interesting

It was an interesting story. My only problem is that I wanted to know more. Lol. Who were the invaders? Why did they attack? I was glad the characters were ok.

Enjoyed the story but not quite sure it is appropriate for my young grands. I have decided to hold it for a while before reading to them. Pics are great. Love the story.
