I'm using this book to teach my private online writing lessons for the summer. The 13 steps are logical and break down the writing process into fun, manageable chunks. Summer is short, so my students aren't writing a novel- I'm adapting it to scriptwriting so that the students in the same group can present their short play as the 'publish' part of the book. I'm also using this with students who study with me all year and those students will write a novel. It took me a while to find a workbook/instruction book for primary and middle school students that I liked, but this is perfect. Thanks, Ollie Ood!

I just finished reading this book. I love it. It is conciese. It gives a strategy to write a good solid story and also explains the basics. I will definately will use it to write my first novel. And by the way I am not 13. Jejeje.
