Giving this o book three stars because the plot was boring. I could care less about the love interest’s vendetta.

The heat is on….
Whew… This second instalment carried the story on and didn’t miss a beat, or a degree, in amping up the seam between Sterling and Trudy. Trudy may be inexperienced but Sterling is opening her eyes, and her senses, to submission and its benefits…
This story is all about the characters and they are not shy in their dialogue or their actions. Was Sterling a jerk at times? Oh yes, definitely. Yet he also showed his vulnerability. I love having dual point of views. You see not only the results but the consideration behind it. In this instalment, along with the heat and the wildly entertaining dialogue, more secrets were revealed. More background and detail on how this whole scenario came to be. And, more importantly, why…
I’m loving both the leads and how they feed off each other. Trudy is not naïve, she knows the score, but that doesn’t mean her whole personality – warm, sweet and straight-forward – was left at the door. Instead, true to herself – and to Sterling – she is exactly as she appears to be. Love her!
The tension was in high gear once again by the end of the novella and I am craving the next (the last) so badly right now! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!! ~Diane, 4.5 stars

Loved it!
The way Sterling changed his original plan with Trudy, seems to have been a major mistake. For someone who appeared to have no capability for love and only revenge, his cold exterior has been cracked. The cliffhanger ending was something I was expecting. That somehow, Trudy would connect the dots of who he is and that this arrangement was not coincidental at all.

If I were a highbrow literary critic I would probably describe Serving Sterling, well actually the entire 3 novella Sold to Sterling series as utter trash. But I’m not a highbrow literary critic. I’m just a guy who enjoys reading sexy contemporary romances and if they have a bit of intrigue and danger along with the romance and sex, all the better. This series checks all of those boxes. The first two books definitely end in cliff hangers and probably should be read in sequence although the author does a pretty good job of catching readers who haven’t read the first book up to speed in this one.
In the first book Sold to Sterling our heroine twenty-five year old Trudy auctions off her virginity to the highest bidder in an attempt to raise enough money to pay for her pregnant older sister Millicent’s stint in a secure rehab facility so she can overcome her addiction to opioids. Sterling who has been seeking revenge against her stepbrother Connor whom he believes is responsible for the deaths of his mother and younger sister rigs the auction (although it's never explained how) planning to emotionally destroy Trudy one of the few people Connor seems to care for. Trudy believes she’s agreed to a one-night deal where he gets her virginity and she gets the half-a million dollars he bid for it. But the trick is she has to remain with Sterling and pretty much be his sex slave until he does the deed. And Sterling isn’t in any rush to take her virginity, wanting to play with her like a cat plays with its captured prey. So as that book closes he’s whisked Trudy off to his secluded country estate in Upstate N.Y. and she’s on her knees preparing to give him a blowjob.
In this book we find out what Sterling believes our heroine Trudy’s stepbrother Connor did to his mother and sister that he’s using as justification to destroy the innocent Trudy in a revenge plot against Connor. Except we can already see his plot beginning to unravel. For he had hoped to deflower, debase and psychologically destroy Trudy but discovers Trudy’s combination of innocence and innate goodness combined with a surprisingly powerful and kinky sex drive to match his own is in fact seducing and changing him. I don’t read many books with BDSM because not only isn’t it my kink, but I just don’t get why anyone would enjoy giving or receiving pain from another. But when I do I always think the author should be paying E.L. James royalties for turning writing stories around BDSM into an acceptable and immensely popular genre. Just like Grey in the 50 Shades series in Sterling we have a handsome, wealthy, damaged, kinky, dominate emotionally closed off male protagonist. And just as with Anna in that series, in Trudy we have a smart, sassy virginal heroine who discovers she really likes some kinky fuckery. And just like in the 50 Shades series our heroine’s love will ultimately save our anti-hero from his darkness. If we couldn’t tell from the direction of this story, the title of the final book Saving Sterling surely gives it away. But I’m getting ahead of myself and this story. In this story Sterling begins to have feelings for Trudy which he’s determined not to allow them to prevent him from using her and then breaking her heart and then dumping her on Connor’s doorstep. Trudy is falling for the grumpy man who is regularly giving her mind blowing orgasms without taking her virginity and now is suddenly showing her kindness too. He goes into full on protective mode because somehow Millicent’s deranged husband has discovered where Trudy is and since he can’t get to Millicent, he’s intent on harming Trudy. So poor Trudy is in the crosshairs of two men, both wanting to harm her as an act of revenge against other members of her family. What’s a poor twenty-five-year-old virgin to do? Unfortunately for Trudy’s heart and Sterling’s plot, as the book closes Trudy has discovered things about Sterling that make her realize he’s been lying to her from the start and may well have plans to do more than just take her virginity. So much for her hopes that he might be reciprocating her growing feelings for him. Guess we’ll have to wait until Saving Sterling comes out to discover how she deals with this new information.

This book starts with us finally found out what truly happened a few years ago with Sterling family and why he wants revenge. And I was shocked. At the other side, Trudy is now getting the hang of what it means to be “sold” to this unknown man. She doesn’t know if she should be afraid, mad or excited with Sterling. Maybe there’s a place for every feeling. If he can have multiple personalities, so does she. She kind surprised me on this book. She’s more sassy, kind of smart and so willing to play the game.
But she’s thrown off guard, when he on top of being cold and mean, he suddenly is kinder, loving man, without missing his alpha side. Little does she know, that Sterling is changing tactics to win her over and ultimately brake her to pieces. Sterling really wasn’t expecting her at all and little by little, with each interaction between them, he gets more conflict toward his end game and now his feelings toward her.
I’ve got to love him, seriously, they man is a master of dirty talking and giving pleasure. Give me my AC, ma’am! But on the road to avenge the wrongdoings against his family, Sterling must face more than one danger and, at least for now, he is ready to protect Trudy with everything he has. But what happen when she finally learn all his lies? Or their families rivalry? I’m honestly so excited to read and listen the next and final book in this trilogy. The audiobook truly capture the angst, lust and rage of the characters. It's the perfect complement to the book.

Serving Sterling is the second book in the Sold to Sterling series by Everly Stone. You can NOT read these books out of order. They are fast-paced novellas with not only heat but story. A plot full of both pleasure and pain.
Trudy is new to all of this. She has never felt more scared and excited at the same time. And after the first night she shared with Sterling, she wants more. She also wants to know more about the man who bought her. She has discovered both sides to the man but who is the real Sterling? The Alpha Asshole or the kinder version with an alpha side?
Sterling didn’t expect to like her. He still wants to ruin the woman but other plans start to develop. He wants to break her. Completely. But first, he needs to give her pleasure with her pain. In Serving Sterling, we learn more about Sterling’s motives for revenge against Trudy’s family. Sterling is determined to move forward with his plans even though he finds himself liking Trudy and knowing that she doesn’t deserve what he is planning to do. You can see his feelings begin to grow for Trudy throughout the story and beneath his gruff exterior, it’s obvious that he does have a heart even though he proclaims that he does not.
Trudy is awakening to her desires and becoming a bit more confident in this half of the story. She’s beginning to question her circumstances and starts to dig into her mysterious benefactor’s identity and past. Her discovery has her questioning everything that has happened.
Lili Valente and C.J. Misson once again voice Trudy and Sterling in the audiobook. I love Lili’s narration so much. She always infuses so much heart, joy and warmth into her characters. C.J. Mission is wonderful as Sterling. I can truly feel the conflict Sterling has in his heart as his plans move forward. I was completely enthralled in the story thanks to their narration.
I’m so invested in this story after Serving Sterling. The cliffhanger had me on edge and I cannot wait for the conclusion of this dark and edgy story.

Sterling changes his tactics with Trudy. Now he plans to make her fall madly in love with him & then dump her. He realizes he could fall in love with her if he didn’t want revenge more.
Trudy’s sister, Millie, leaves her a message that she’s worried about her. Millie’s ex, Harrison, wants to hurt Trudy. When Harrison is spotted on Sterling’s property, they plan to go to Key West on Sterling’s private jet. At least until Harrison is apprehended.
As the plane taxis the runway Trudy calls Bradford for an update on the background check. What Bradford tells Trudy about Sterling frightens her but it’s too late to get off the plane.
Will they make it to Key West or will Sterling fly her somewhere else?
I liked the book. It was fast paced fun. I loved the banter between Sterling & Trudy. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Serving Sterling is book 2 of Everly Stone’s Sold to Sterling series and is a fantastic addition to this series. As always, Ms. Stone’s characters are interesting and likable, and had my undivided attention.
Trudy and Sterling’s story continues right where we left them in book one, and as they spend more time together, they both struggle with the deep connection that they feel. Though they both internally remind themselves to stay emotionally distant, the more they let themselves get close to one another for the sake of the façade and game they are playing, the harder it is to keep the walls around their mutual attraction erected. But when an unexpected twist makes them flee the safety of Sterling’s private home, the twisted web of deception begins to unfurl.
As expected, Ms. Stone has left me hanging on the edge of my seat with the turn of the final page in Serving Sterling leaving me with a tight grasp of my iPad while I must now await the release of the conclusion to this intriguing and sultry romance.

Serving Sterling starts unexpectedly. The back story was like a bomb dropping. There is a lot going on there. These stories don't take long to get through, but what makes a world of difference about them is they feel like a full length novel. The story line does not stray. We see how these characters develop into their own.
I fell more for Sterling in this book. His shell is cracking with Trudy. I loved each moment of the naught and nice. And don't forget the extra spice. Trudy is finally allowing herself to be in the moment with Sterling. It is freeing.
Serving Sterling still has the push and pull. But you start to unravel the true story behind the words. I can't wait for the next Novella. I have to know how this all comes to a full circle.

And just like that, the plot thickens. The story starts right off where we left off and find out why Sterling is doing what he’s doing. We dig a little deeper into the whys of the story for Sterling and Trudy. I’m hooked on this story and I can’t wait for the final part.
In “Serving Sterling” we get to see more from Sterling and Trudy in a couple days after he bought her V-Card. I loved reading about the dynamics that the two are going through this most interesting situation that we find them in. Sterling has reasons for his revenge but those reasons are starting to get gray now. And that cliffhanger at the end? I want more. I can’t wait for “Saving Sterling”
Lili Valente is just amazing as Trudy. I love her as a narrator, she’s so wonderful at bringing her narrations to life. And I’m loving C.J. Mission. His voice is alpha perfect and I can’t wait to listen to more by him.
In “Serving Sterling” we get to see more from Sterling and Trudy in a couple days after he bought her V-Card. I loved reading about the dynamics that the two are going through this most interesting situation that we find them in. Sterling has reasons for his revenge but those reasons are starting to get gray now. And that cliffhanger at the end? I want more. I can’t wait for “Saving Sterling”
Lili Valente is just amazing as Trudy. I love her as a narrator, she’s so wonderful at bringing her narrations to life. And I’m loving C.J. Mission. His voice is alpha perfect and I can’t wait to listen to more by him.

I'm LOVING this series!!
This is book 2 in the Sold to Sterling series and picks up right where book 1 left off. Trudy has sold herself to help her sister. As the story moves along, she finds out more about who Sterling. He pushes all her buttons to make her cave in to him. Can she really fall in love that quick? He's now saying all the things that she wants to hear. Is he falling for her also?
Sterling aches for Trudy but can't give in just yet. He was sharp with her and now realizes you catch more flies with honey. So, he's going to pretend he's falling for her to make her fall for him! He cannot forget what the end game is. There will be heartbreak, but his need for revenge trumps all feelings.

4.5 stars - this is getting interesting.
First off - these books MUST be read in order. This second installment - we really get into the meat of the story. We learn the details of the background history of both Sterling and Trudy. We also see Sterling realize that his plan just may need to be tweaked although part of that is heartbreaking since he is determined to exact his revenge!

Serving Sterling was an AMAZINGLY HOT book! Its a quick read, you can even read the whole thing in an afternoon. I loved Sterling and my heart ached for him, so much tragedy in his life at the hands of one family! I didn't like his reasons for getting Trudy. I understood them, I appreciated that his plans evolved accordingly throughout, but I just wanted to scream at him 'THE BEST REVENGE IS LIVING WELL'. Sweet innocent Trudy, she's a people pleaser, a conflict avoider, and I wanted her to wisen up, stop worrying about everyone else and focus on finding happiness of her own. They are both on the right path, I just kept wishing they'd trust each other and take the steps together. Can't wait for the next one!

As Sterling gets to know more about Trudy, he begins to second-guess his original plan. As Trudy learns more about Sterling, she’s having some regrets of her own. There are some surprises from both Sterling and Trudy’s past, and how they manage them is quite intriguing. Trudy is showing just how strong she is, and Sterling’s cold heart is in danger of thawing.
I’m really enjoying how the story flows, and the twists that come out of left field. While engaging with each other, Sterling and Trudy are also discovering things about themselves and how their behavior is affecting their happiness and those people around them. This book ends in a cliffhanger, as well, but there’s just one more book to see how everything plays out.

Hot, fully of developing feelings and character development, and a great part 2 of a trilogy. This is a bridge between books 1 and 3, but this book has so much depth in such a short period. This trilogy is fascinating to me. Everly Stone writes gritty, gripping stories that definitely push some boundaries, but have a ton of heart. Trudy is just the woman that a complicated man like Sterling needs to get his heart out of hibernation.
Narration of the audio by CJ Mission and Lili Valente really adds to the experience. CJ Mission has such a smooth, deep voice that really adds to the layers of Sterling's character. Lili Valente does a great job balancing the naivete and intelligence of Trudy.

This serial is really so awesome. Book 2 is also well-written with plenty of HEAT and plot twists!! This isn't your everyday smut. There's so much going on to keep you interested and flipping pages! I continue to find myself surprised by how multi-faceted these characters are. Sterling changed quite a bit in this book, and I kept expecting one thing from Trudy, then she gives us something different. She's much stronger than I expected her to be.
100% recommend this book if you like spanking, steam, mystery, and surprises!

Serving Sterling is the second book in the series after Sold to Sterling. This book is not a stand alone and should not be read as such. I don't usually make this warning in my reviews, but Serving Sterling couldn't stand alone. This book was a great next part of the story between Sterling and Trudy where you start to see their feelings change for each other and where the conflict starts to arise!
Based on the cliffhanger, I cannot wait for the third book!

She is smart, intelligent, street wise and knows how to get information. I most of all Sterling is in a tough spot with Trudy. He has finally meet his match in Trudy, she is his unexpected challenge.

*****This review is for the audiobook***** I am narrator motivated, so I selected this story based on Everly Stone and the narrators. I really enjoyed this dark romantic suspense with a twist of mystery and a few things I never saw coming. Great anti-hero with layered complexity and depth and a heroine who is no fading violet for sure! CJ Mission and Lili did an excellent job narrating these complicated characters and situations. Enjoyed all 3 books and finished in one day!

While things heat up between Sterling and Trudy beyond physical intimacy, Trudy knows that he has secrets and is holding back. Sterling is a complicated man. I didn’t find this to be overly dark in its theme. Sterling’s conflict becomes more apparent as he wars within himself on his need for vengeance versus his feelings for Trudy. I was a bit underwhelmed by the relationship development although I didn’t dislike either character nor was I attached, but I will finish series to see how it all ends.

OMG! This was so hot! I'm glad I listened to it at home because my facial expressions might've had people around me questioning what I was listening to. Sterling laughed! I knew his hard exterior was a facade. He's trying to hurt Trudy in all of this, but I bet everything that Sterling is falling in love with and doesn't even know it... and he's going to be hurting more than she is when all of this is over.

The teasing between Sterling and Trudy continues. Emotions and tensions are starting to build to a peak. There was some steam, but mostly threats of things to come. Both of our main characters are starting to develop romantic feelings for each other. By the end I was left wondering whether those feelings will be enough or whether the truth will tear them apart.

Loved It
I absolutely loved the next part of Trudy and Sterling's story. The cliffhanger ending is keeping me even more entranced with their story. I can't wait to read The final book in the series. Good amount of spice, the romance, and revenge is keeping me on my toes. I hope you check if out and enjoy it as much as I did.

This book has so much chemistry between these characters. With an unforgiving Alpha that I originally disliked, I find myself liking him and hoping he does the right thing. With lots of steamy scenes it’s a winner.
