Great Read
Stephanie is investigating a new form of magic. Danger is involved since it reacts with other magic in unpredictable and explosive ways. Not all the Dreth are accepting of the witch and her warnings about an invasion that will affect all three civilizations. To be accepted as the leader of the resistance to the invasion, she must undergo a trial by combat to win the Dreth's respect. Danger ensues while magic flies. I like the action, humor, and intrigue. I look forward to the next book.

Making friends (and enemies)
Morgana is becoming her own character in the story, alongside Stephanie. I'm not sure what I think of that. I am more fascinated by the almost accidental growth of her empire (it's not that yet....but I suspect I know where things will end up 😅). Who knows? Guess I'll have to keep reading the series to find out!

WOW!
Stephanie has her own spaceship, is herald as the Talon of Dreth, a Master of Magical Mysteries on Meligorn, and the Federation Witch! She's starting to gain as many Titles as Daenerys Targaryen!
She is Amazing!

Understanding
When you understand the way the world they live on has formed their lives then you will begin to understand why and what.

Mixed Emotions
Some things don’t always seem to fit, such as the challenge and battle for the team to prove themselves worthy to be citizens of Dreth. It was interesting until it just wasn’t. Yes, everyone survived, but that was expected. Still, I will continue with the next installment. It has been easy to ignore what I don’t like.
