) A DK Eyewitness 2022 travel guide to Portland, Oregon. Just shy of A5 size this would easily fit into a travel bag.

With a mix of information, tips and maps, it provides ideas about where you can eat, drink, shop, see culture, take part in the nightlife and what to do outdoors. There’s a breakdown of seasonal activities and, more importantly, insider tips from the locals!

I liked the upbeat narrative style which felt very welcoming; I also appreciated the ‘nearby getaways’ section, for places of natural beauty.

This felt more than just a tourist guide because of the friendly presentation. I would happily recommend it.

This was a grab from the local library. I've spent the last year exploring local Portland restaurants, and many of our favorites were in here, so now I need to try more from this. Our favorite local events and even our favorite record shop were all here. I found many more shops to add to our family adventure list. I'll be referencing this book for a while before returning to the library. Great collection here.

Bought for a visit to Portland because our usual favourite travel guide didn't do Portland, but we found it rather too specific and more geared to, as the title suggests, living like a local, rather than doing the tourist thing.

Great recommendations! It would be nice to have more info on dog friendly places.
