Dragon Shifter Dominion #1-5

Dragon Shifter Dominion: Complete Series Box Set

Rate this book
For so many years, my life was simple. I traveled across the Wildlands helping people, conning bad guys, and recovering lost artifacts. Life was tough but fulfilling.

Then the dragons started showing up… and boy are they assholes. They’re former princes and they want me to join their revolution. What does a wicked empress have to do with me?

Apparently, quite a lot.

These smoldering, dominant, overbearing dragon shifters think I’m the key to saving the world. Hopefully, they’re right.

(Dragon Shifter Dominion is a steamy paranormal romance series where the heroine doesn’t have to choose. There’s heart-stopping action, enemies to lovers, sizzling steam, and wild adventures as Levia Sunfall journeys to bring her fated mates together.)

This box set contains all five novels in the series: Passion of the Summer Dragon, Serenity of the Autumn Dragon, Cold Heart of the Winter Dragon, Vibrance of the Spring Dragon, and Rapture of the Sun Dragon.

KC Kingmaker lives in San Diego and has been writing and reading fantasy and romance for years.

"Briarwitch Academy" was KC’s first foray into paranormal romance, trying to bridge the genres to make something steamy, funny, mysterious, action-packed, and most of all, fun!

"Dragon Shifter Dominion" came after, trying to meld that same steaminess with traditional fantasy, to create a romantic fantasy explosion!

"Shadowblade Academy," KC’s third series, is technically a spin-off of Briarwitch Academy, though it can be read as a standalone series. It has just as much intrigue and mystery and steam as the others, but things get a bit darker.

"Camelot Untold," KC’s fourth series, is a deep, dark dive into the rich lore of Arthurian legends. It’s reverse harem fantasy romance.

"Robin Hood and Her Merciless Men" is KC’s fifth series, and another spicy, dark retelling of an iconic legend.

Very good series

I thought I had read the series before but I didn’t! I’m shocked that I didn’t. I loved that it was completed, and in a box set. I thought the story/plot was great! I found it a tad slow though. There were chapters that I almost skimmed entirely as it was just the characters thoughts going over n over the same stuff that was explained already. It was in Multiple Pov, which I loved! It’s so interesting reading each main characters pov. I did find it a bit off in the last book, all of a sudden they are all saying “my love”. It was repeated in the entire last book when it wasn’t said in any of the other books, which was kinda annoying. I loved how each book, the climax wasn’t at the very very end, the ending more or less had they main characters gathering together, celebrating their successes before leaving an opening for the next in the series. I do wish there was special peens in the sex scenes. The fmc’s guys were built for it, so ir was a bit of a surprise when they turned out to have normal maybe larger than normal but normal all the same. I am glad that the bad guy turned into someone she’s heard about. It was a bit puzzling that all the main characters were physically attracted to those at the academy. There wasn’t an explanation as to why, they all felt those feelings. I wasn’t to impressed with the fmc not having any negative feelings or hurt that was vocally expressed when she saw and heard the guys being hit on by all the females at the academy. Especially with the one that was holding her mates hand when he met up with the fmc, drunk as a skunk, calling the girl “my love” like they said to the fmc. Blatantly discussing how the girl tried to seduce her man. I expected the fmc to feel and express how offensive it was, because I would cut a b!+(h if my husband was holding another females hand in front of me, calling her my love, as a term of endearment. That disconnected me from how natural their interactions were written. It didn’t seem like it felt real compared to how the rest of their interactions went. I didn’t like how it wasn’t explained why the fmc didn’t bond with her soul mates, it wasn’t mentioned that Blythe married her bf, only that she now had a husband when the fmc and her friend were that close. So much of this book described situations and redescribed them so often that when certain things were skipped over, it interrupted my enjoyment of reading the story because I felt like I missed something. I would use the key word search while reading through the kindle app to bring up all the characters mentioning and I didn’t find one bit about her plans on getting married. You would think that being besties, she would be at the wedding as the maid of honour. Otherwise I thought the series very good! I was intrigued right till the end!

This book compilation was pretty much garbage. I read through almost the entire series and decided to DNF it halfway through the last book. The writing is sub-par. The world building is mediocre. The relationship building is nonexistent. I’m not even kidding, they go from enemies to being in love with absolutely no warning or buildup. Each book introduces a different male, once she bonds with that male he’s forgotten so she can find and bond with the next.

The author uses the term “my love” so often that it became sickening. Every single time they address each other it’s ‘my love this’ and ‘my love that’.

Sex scenes had a tendency to be cringeworthy. FMC has tidal waves of ‘nectar’ exploding from her vagina any time she opens her legs. I think she’s secretly trying to drown the guys out. We even get some “steaming member” and other various defective body parts. The sexual verbiage in this book can be disturbing.

I think the last book hooks into another series by this author. The last book was the absolute worst because unless you’ve read the other series, then all these new characters on earth make no sense. This is a fantasy series and for the last book she sends them to earth to visit a supernatural academy. What? They’re in the middle of a goddamn war and you send them to earth for most of the book to canoodle with humans? This was only done to promote the author’s other series and I hate that tactic.

Look at my notes and highlights for more of an idea about why I disliked this series. I pretty much stopped making notes about all the issues after the first or second book…there just wasn’t enough about this series that was good, there’s no way I could point out all the problems.

Wow! Great series. Well written. Did I mention dragons? This reverse harem romance series follows Levia and her four sexy mates. Characters are all very different but they have good chemistry. Very HOT! Hard to put down. Kind of wish it didn’t end.

Loved this boxed set, happy I got them all together. This way I can read them straight through. They were so good I read books one through five and was so glad I did the story flowed so well each book told the story of one dragon alpha and his house and meeting with Leviathan the human dragon princes. she meets four males from each house and the evil empires trying to take over the world. book five is the final battle. There are Shifter, Humans, and Fay in this book set. Highly recommend

Fun

I couldn't put it down! KC Kingmaker has once again held me in her thrall. The energy and vibe of Levi's story is full of passion, angst, and a good helping of humor. It's a very steamy read that will even leave your partner satisfied. 😉

First couple books were great but by the last one instead of adding more into it I was ready for the story to be over.
