This is a beautiful book by a renowned chef.
I’ve been a big fan of Christine Manfield for many years and was thrilled to receive this book as a Christmas present. I’ve since spent many lovely spare hours slowly perusing the wonderful array of mouth watering recipes with their tempting pictures.

This is not just a recipe book, but a cooking class…a master class to be sure! Complete with easy to follow instructions, glossary and comprehensive recipe index.

The book has step by step easy to understand guided instructions that would make even the most timid cook relax into making a beautiful curry or other tasty dish worthy of serving to anyone.
With some very easy walk through recipe instructions to help hone your cooking skills and boost your confidence in cooking outside the ordinary.

A lovely book for your collection, it’s the perfect gift for any level of cook.
There is something for everyone in here.

A gorgeous book to pore over. Christine Manfield shares her extensive knowledge of Indian cooking very generously, and provides step-by-step illustrated masterclass instructions for selected recipes throughout. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that Manfield only references the Indian names of dishes occasionally (in the introductory paragraph, if at all) which means you won't find them in the index either. Recipe names are instead descriptions of the dish. So if you have an urge to create her version of aloo gobi for example, you have to know what the component ingredients are to find it in the book. To be fair, I'm sure this was a very deliberate decision of the author and/or editors, and is in keeping with the teaching style of the cookbook.
