I've always been fascinated by the London Underground & have read a huge amount of books on the subject over the years. My wife bought me this book to expand my knowledge of other underground railways across the world.
This was an absolutely fascinating read & full of interesting information on underground railways. I especially enjoyed the sections on the systems in New York, Moscow & Mexico City. I even found a few things out about the London Underground that I never knw before. A concise & brilliantly informative read.

An interesting book I picked up from the library. A brief look at the underground rail networks around the world. Full of interesting tidbits this is a fascinating read for anyone with an interest or passion in the railways.

For example: the first underground railway in the world was in London, the second was in Hungary. The deepest is in Moscow, 86 metres down.
