Perfect ending to the duet!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💜💙💚🖤❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍🌎
Character development: 🥺🤭🤫😕😎

The Hero(es): Scout, Sparrow and Sully Mannford - Scout is a bit Psycho, Sparrow likes his creature comforts and Sully is the nice guy of the three. All three of the identical triplets are a bit obsessed with Landry and had previously tricked her into thinking they were one man.

The heroine(s): Landry Croft - she was being abused by her father and wanted to protect her deaf little sister so she and her sister ran away. She thought she was running to a friend, but instead ran straight into the hands of the Mannford brothers.

The Story: After ending up at the apartment of the Mannford brothers. Landry finds out that the guy she thought she knew is in fact three identical twins. She realizes Scout is crazy, she doesn’t trust Sparrow at all, but she knows Sully will help with her sister.

I felt a bit lost at the beginning because I read Triple Threat about 100 books ago and though I remember the main plot, there were particulars I may have forgotten and this book just starts right in from the point the other left of without any explanation or review of what went on in the last book. Which is awesome if you are binging the books one after the other but not so much when you read them months apart.

Though I must say I like that these guys each have their own unique personalities and Landry has no problem standing up for herself against them despite how meek she was when living with her father. I also like how despite the way Landry came to be there, it ends up being a safe place for her and her little sister and even psycho Scout can be a teddy bear at times.

The book had a great storyline, it was romantic, super steamy, and I liked the fact that in this storyline the Mannford brothers were the “good” guys and Winston Constantine wasn’t. It shows how everything has two sides and that being a villain in someone else’s story doesn’t always mean a character has to be a villain in their own.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Landry is living a dream, with the triplets eating on her hand, taking care of her little sister, she's in love.
Until her father finds her.
We see the triplets with a new perspective.
description
They were the villains in Ash's story, but the heroes in Landry's life.
There's nothing they won't do for her.
I love how Scout is with Ty, they're become real friends.
I guess the end of Midnight Dynasty it's when Morelli and Constantine will be all friends, the knots are getting tighter.
description
For the first time, the three of them are obsessed for the same woman.
Leo Morelli was an important role in this story.
Winston not so much, but he only cares about Ash, he's an asshole for the rest of the people.
Landry has a hard time when her father finds her, luckily she can count on Ty Constantine.
description
description
This story has some funny scenes, but too much sex, sometimes it's hot, in this it's just too much.
Scout is kinda sweet, though I prefer Sully.
Too much drama in these one.

I would have never thought in a million years I would say how much I love the terror triplets. Hell has frozen over because I love Scout.

Book two picks up where book one ends, and it's a wild, bumpy ride with extra spice and everything, not so nice.

Talk about character development and redemption. They’re still far from saints just now redirected. With Landry as their new obsession.

You will read cameos of Constantine’s and Morelli’s. Some we have loved and some we have intensely disliked.

One shocking twist. I was always in awe of Landry for all she did for her sister and what she had to deal with, but by the end, she was a force to reckon with.

Deception Duet is another excellent addition to the Midnight Dynasty collection.

Always Della’s fiercest protector, Landry has unwittingly arrived at the triplets’ apartment. It only takes a few minutes for her to realize what has been happening and the pieces to fall into place. The biggest questions remaining are why and what next.

I absolutely loved this incredibly unique storyline and all the characters, including Heathen (save Alex Croft)! Scout, Sully, and Sparrow are deliciously depraved and sadistically sweet.

The conclusion to this duet was satisfying in every way. But I can’t deny that I wish there was more! K. Webster is the quintessential storyteller with an admirable ability to weave intricate tales.

📣 Death Wish is part of the Midnight Dynasty series, a multi-author collaboration and the Terror Triplets were introduced in the Cinderella trilogy. While it’s not strictly necessary to have read those books, there will be spoilers for them. Death Wish completes the Deception Duet and must be read following Triple Threat.

Landry Croft had enough of being under her father’s cruel thumb. But her escape attempt might lead her to three times more problems with the Mannford triplets.

I liked the overall story, but there were things that I wasn’t fully satisfied with. I felt for characters who had such a large presence in the Cinderella trilogy, the triplets were tamed too much. I get it about giving characters redemption, but it could happen without stripping the core that made me love them in the first place.

She’s ours. We have her and no one will be taking her away from us.

The first half of the book was quite slow with minimal progress in the plot. Thankfully, the pace picked up after. Della was a delightful menace, and I’m glad the adults got some “playtime” on their own.

Death Wish is the conclusion of Deception Duet. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a Dark Romance.

THIS was exactly the read I wanted when I heard K. Webster was writing about the Terror Triplets and making it a reverse harem romance! We finally got all the steam that was missing in book 1, and it was SO GOOD. I loved this follow-up in the Deception Duet – it was perfectly steamy, dark, and suspenseful. If you love reverse harem, read this duet!

After the big reveal from the end of Triple Threat, Landry now knows who the Terror Triplets are... but they're not letting her or her sister go. The two on the run from their abusive, disgusting father, and the only safe space seems to be with Sully, Sparrow, and Scout. I loved how the dynamics have changed in this book, with Landry coming into herself and knowing she has the boys wrapped around her and her sisters fingers. You can truly see how much the boys adore her and would do anything for her.

Now that the secret about their identity is out, the romance felt more genuine. I wasn't sold on Scout in book 1, but he really does a 180 in this sequel and proves how much he loves Landry. All the boys do a fantastic job at redeeming themselves in Landry's eyes after their deception. The steam is FIRE in Death Wish too. K. Webster knows how to write steamy reads and she didn't disappoint here!

This sequel has a much darker feel than book 1, mainly because we learn more about the abuse and trauma Landry went through to protect her sister. I felt for her and her pain. Content warnings for anyone who needs it:

I loved this sequel. I'm so happy with how things played out in this conclusion and I adore how protective the boys are towards Landry and Della. It was a really enjoyable duet and I'm just glad K. Webster didn't make us wait too long for this sequel!

“This girl is the fucking sun, warming us and chasing back our haunting shadows.”

highkey really enjoyed this duet. character wise i loved it, the plot in the first book was kinda weird hence the 3 stars but this book was so good.

i loved scout since the cinderella series but i didn't really care for sully and sparrow. this book changed it. i kinda saw so much potential in them. scout is still def my fav but they made the list now too.

i still do wish this duet could've been darker since they are villains. but i didn't mind how balanced it was.

i love redepemtion arcs that stay true to their characters. they were redeemed but they still stayed psycho which i LOVE.

Ugh, listen I knew this was a menage book. I knew it, but still hoped it wouldn’t unfold the way that it did.

In book 1 we see the three triplets duping the h into thinking she’s dating one man so yes, she’s intimate with all three of them on separate occasions but again, she’s under the impression she’s dating one man. And the vibes with all three men were STELLAR in book 1 but ultimately I wanted her to end up with one brother. She was onto them. Literally thought the man she was dating had split personality disorder ☠️

Scout was all too happy to share with his brothers and behaviourally unhinged with her which lent itself to the best s3x scenes.
Sully was possessive so did have an issue sharing but easily acquiesced, and was a bit of a follower though the more ‘gentle’ brother.
Sparrow had authority over Sully but he and Sully would try and micromanage Scout because they were intimidated by him. He was cocky, and easy going and his conversations with Landry had the best back and forth.

But which brother was most possessive over her? Territorial? Ready to fight his brothers when he realised they were also intimate with her…

Yeah I wanted her to end up with Sparrow. She trusted him the most. She met him first. He was the one she felt betrayed by. He pursued her. He knew she was important to him and wanted a real relationship. He was seething when he first realised Sully kissed her. He only wanted her and hated the game that he and his brothers were involved in. I liked their relationship the most. But Sparrow was a chicken sh1t and a pu$$y a$$ bi@tch when it came to Scout. 😭😭 He just let Scout take Landry into the room and nothing. No banging down the doors. No physical fights. Just the cold shoulder the day after 😒🤮

Then they were a little happy trio of lovers at the end with her in this polyamorous relationship and I lost interest.
As brothers there was a level of incestuous behaviour that was a bit 🤧, which is why I was ultimately pulling for her to end up with one. Why are you happy to share her… all of their bodies touching whilst making love to her… sorry but it’s really not hot when you deep it 😭
Also they should have been begging and grovelling at her feet for duping her but there was little drama surrounding that whole issue.

Safety: well it’s a ménage so… but yes within the confines of their relationship, it’s her and them.
This duet features on page rxpe: the heroine’s father has been rxping her ever since she was a young teenager to the extent that she even miscarried his child. The scenes were never explicit though. Honestly it was happening in book 1 and I never even clocked on because the language used was quite passive so I just thought her dad started to get handsy and inappropriate when drunk.

Arc review

Finally a conclusion for the terror triplets. My fav thing about this book was how the guys were with Della, especially Scout whom I did not think would have a soft spot for Della. I loved their friendship. Even though i loved the first book a lot, this felt a bit flat because the sex felt forced, like there was no passion, in any serious situation they fucked rather than work on their situation. Other than that i liked the story development and the ending, Landry’s relationship with the guys was amazing, and i loved Scout in this book. He was so protective and obsessed with Landry 😭😭

Death Wish was the perfect conclusion to this duet. It’s too late for a coherent review, so I’ll write one tomorrow. Just know if you enjoy a taboo poly with dark themes, then you’ll enjoy this duet.

Wow this one was sooo much better than the first, I just binged it in one sitting and I have no regrets. The smut was so amazing and the individual relationships blossomed in this book. The boys all love Della so much it warms my heart and Landry is the best older sister in my opinion. I dont even know what else to say but if you like smut I recommend this book lol.

What an amazing conclusion to this duet. Scout, Sully and Sparrow are definitely my favourite’s in the saga of the Morelli’s and Constantine’s. This terrible trio have given us so much chaos and angst but are they are so very delicious 😋
Landry has so many secrets but she will gladly hold them all inside of it means she can save Della.
I changed my opinion about Scout, I am Team Scout forever and ever!
K Webster consistently gives us characters to love but also characters we love to hate. She puts so much passion and emotion into her stories that the reader is experiencing the words in real time.

“What we’re doing is far beyond dating. We’re consuming her, owning her, making her ours. We’re a drug that’s entered her bloodstream and she’s too high from the way we feel to ever want to willingly withdraw from us. Landry isn’t going anywhere.”

Smooth writing that flows effortlessly. We continue where book one left off.
Landry escaped with her sister from their life of hell with their father… running right into the triplets arms. There going to do everything they can to keep her safe.
Keep her close. Make her theirs.
Landry preens at the attention. But she also loves the way each triplet treats her little sister.
And that’s when she knows she’s safe.

“Just me, my three assholes, and my little sister. It feels a lot like happiness. A lot like home.”

But Landry’s father has money and power. Her running away is short lived because shit goes down and Landry learns to find her backbone.

I would have liked to see the last half of the book extended a bit. Seemed rushed.
And for being with triplets, Yes, there is orgies but no DP scenes?! I’m disappointed. Lol.

Overall, yes to an HEA. These terror triplets finally found their woman to obsess over and love.

This ain't giving me DARK.
PPPPFFTTTT
This might be/is the fluffiest MMFM book I've read.

ALTHOUGH AND NEVERTHELESS.
The one big smut scene where Scout, Sparrow and Sully fuck Landry together was noice.

But still so fluff and not dark.

✨I claim Scout though.✨

Continuing in the timeline without interruption, Landry Croft knows the truth about the Mannford triplets but she also realizes there are limited options. Scout, Sully and Sparrow are willing to prove themselves to Landry all the while offering much needed protection. However, in their world, there are always vying interests.

“Despite how much it hurts, I refuse to be broken. I have claws.”

Narrated in multiple POV, the personalities of the triplets are forged and the shadows of Landry’s secrets no longer remain hidden. Together, they learn how to play together, which leads to steamy times and a particular brother that takes the lead in the kink department.

In this duet, the mission of the terror triplets significantly changes, especially compared to their actions in the Cinderella trilogy. For me, the transition happened a little too quickly and time would have strengthened their bond. As for Landry, her sacrifices for her sister were well intentioned. Della’s relationship with the triplets definitely provided for some laughs.

Death Wish is a dark romance about redemption. This book would appeal to those looking for polyamorous story with light kink.

How in the heck does K. Webster continues to make me fall in love and forgive these villains? Y’all I even have a soft spot for Scout now… WHAT?

When this landed on my Kindle, I couldn't wait to get started. I reread Triple Threat and thought I was prepared... I wasn't prepared. This book was an emotional rollercoaster for me. I was rooting for the good guys who were also the bad guys... I became bloodthirsty for vengeance, enraged by Della and Landry's predicament, and laughed at Heathen and Della's antics! My emotions were all over the place.

Sully, Scout, and Sparrow have been revealed, and Landry now realizes they are not Ford Mann, but rather the Mannford triplets. The trio has decided that Landry is theirs, but will they be able to share or will this cause the brother to have a falling out? We've all seen how well things worked out for these three in Cinderella Skyscraper when they decided something was theirs...

This book was a fantastic conclusion to this storyline, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys dark, steamy, and a whole lot of crazy. The triplets, along with the one woman who might be able to tame them, will worm their way into your heart and go from terrible to terrific... okay, maybe not terrific... But you'll adore them!

A must read duet with all my recommendations!

This is the conclusion to Landry and the Mannford triplets. Landry escaped with Della and found safety and could it be...love with Scout, Sully and Sparrow. They consider her theirs and they will go to whatever lengths to protect Landry and her little sister Della.

But Landry's ruthless billionaire father isn't accustomed to being slighted and the triplets and Landry will have to play the game better and more ruthless to win. Who will come out unscathed?

I LOVE Scout. He is everything I love in a hero. Sparrow was sexy too. Sully felt weird to me...or maybe it was the use of the word "honey." The triplets were delicious together and with Landry. HOT.

I don't know what it was about Landry but she felt so young to me. I liked her fierceness but she felt like a teenager rather than a grown women. I couldn't shake it.

This packed an emotional punch and I was both disgusted and horrified at what Landry went through. It definitely made me sick to my stomach and in reality I think therapy would have been in her immediate future.

I think this book wanted to be dramatic and emotional but also wanted to be erotic and the two didn't mesh so great. That aside, I did really like Landry and her triplets. I wish there had been more to their story or an extended epilogue.

It's possible I would have enjoyed this duet more if I had read the other interconnected stories in this world but overall a good read from Webster.

Star Rating : 4.5/5 Stars

POV : Mutiple

Cliffhanger : None

Hero : Sully , Sparrow , Scout

Heroine : Laundry

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 7/10

Plot Summary :
Landry knew that Ford was too good to be true. It seemed like he had multiple personalities because everytime she met him, there was something wrong. But nothing could have prepared her for the truth. The one man she had been falling for is not actually a single man. It's three of them. Three identical twins. Three men who tricked her, used her and ultimately, betrayed her. And now she is stuck with them. Her and her little sister. There Is nothing she won't do for her sister and if that means being stuck with the three men who broke her, then so be it. However, her monsters are not yet done with her yet. The Mann Ford triplets vow to keep her safe with them, but who will save her from them?

Overall Opinion :
OMG. I swear this duet is one of the best duets by this author. I have been going crazy for these triplets ever since I read them in the Cinderella trilogy but nothing could have prepared me for the marvelous way K. Webster has written them in their books.

Sully, sparrow and Scout are total villains but omg, the steam 👀. Like this book has the hottest scenes ever. These three triplets sure know their way around. We even see a few cameos from our favorite midnight dynasty characters and I am so happy to meet them again!

My heart absolutely broke for laundry. What she went through was so bad and I just wanted to hug but the woman was so strong. Looking at her, with all that sass, you can't ever tell that she had been a victim. Her strength made me love her so much and I am happy to read the ending for these amazing characters!

However I still hope that we get a book for Della too because that little hellion needs a book lmao, I want to see her grown up and all smartass types!! Definitely recommending this duet to all the reverse harem loving people. This duet honestly shocked me by how good it was and I loved it a lot.

This conclusion to the Deception Duet picks up right where Triple Threat left off: with Landry and Della escaping from their abusive father, and landing in Ford's home only to discover Ford Mann is not one man, but actually the Mannford triplets.

description
description

This book was super short, but I think that was actually a good thing. I'm glad it wasn't unnecessarily dragged out only to pad the page count.

After learning of the abuse and subjugation Landry suffered at the hands of her father during the first book, I was so delighted with how she stood up for herself to the triplets. This book was emotional and intense, especially during the first few chapters during which Landry didn't know if the new evil she'd found herself face to face with would be better or worse than the devil she'd been striving to escape for so long.

description

It was endlessly satisfying to see her facing off against Scout, Sparrow and Sully, and antagonizing the fuck out of the three. It was a subtle contrast and a welcome change of pace compared to how she'd had to be meek and submissive with her father. And a great example of how actions instead of words can be used to convey a message in a book. You could tell how the dynamic between Landry and the guys was completely dissimilar from that with her father, even if the words on the page tried to liken them, because of how differently she reacted to them. It was like, even if her conscious mind warned her to be careful and keep her guard up, subconsciously she knew the triplets wouldn't purposely hurt her or Della.

description

Another item for the plus column was how scorching hot this book was. Now that the secret was out of the bag about there being three guys instead of one, the reverse harem aspect was taken advantage of to its fullest extent (if you know, you know). Lots of Oh, wow. Holy crap moments. It was sightly messed up, but in the most enjoyably delicious way.

description

The pacing was also good (because the book wasn't longer than it needed to be), and the was enough angst, danger and worry to keep things interesting in between the naughty bits.

Della made for great comedic relief and I kept internally cackling evilly every time she was a terror and an uncaring asshole. There was just something inherently hilarious about an angelic-looking six-year-old being a complete menace.

description

I'm super glad to have discovered this author and would recommend this duet if you enjoy romance on the darker side and RH.

✨A TOP READ OF 2022✨

Yep.... she sure did it! K Webster got me to fall for the Terror Triplets! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!?!? By the end of Triple Threat I was on board with Sully and Sparrow..... but Scout was still a hard pass..... OMG! He had me swooning all over this book! I started to love them so much that when Ash was talking bad about them late in the book I was defending them in my head. And boy did they get hot! I needed a fan! They way that they all were with Landry, and the affection that they also showed to her sister (especially by learning sign language for her), gave her the strength and courage to be able to stand up to her dad later on when she had to deal with him again. They showed her that she was right in thinking that both she and her sister were worthy of love and to be taken care of!

This book was a FANTASTIC display of how one person's villain is another person's Hero! It also was a great showing of how talented K Webster is since she was able to take these evil guys from another story of hers (guys I wanted to cause serious harm to) and made me fall in love with them!!! That is HUGE!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think this storyline would have gone much better had it been a trilogy instead of a duet. The main reason I say this is because the Triplets needed a lot more page time for me to believe in them. Don’t get me wrong, I was on my way to believing in them after I read Triple Threat but then the story went south for me. There’s entirely too much time dedicated to turmoil and conflict between the twins that it left very little to the growth of their relationship with Landry. Honestly, Della stole the show for me LOL Without her I may have given up on this altogether *shrug*

Well, this did not go as I thought it would, but you obviously have to read it if you want to keep up with the Constantine/Morelli world, and it’s not a complete wash; I just think it would have done better with more development so therefor as a trilogy.

Overall, this duet is a solid 3.5 stars with book 1 blowing my mind and this one ... not so much LOL Do with that info what you will :)

This one did bring more steam than book one. And the suspense amped up. Poor Landry and her sister go through so much. This book does touch on abuse and assault just to warn anyone in case they didn't know. It's hard to read about. I'm glad K was able to make me love the triplets, they were redeemed, and I love when Landry defended them.

I still need to search and see if Ty Constantine has a book, though.

You have a death wish, prickly princess.

⭐⭐⭐⭐.5|5
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️|5

TROPES: reverse harem. enemies to lovers.
POV: multiple.
TW: physical and mental abuse (not by Hs). family love. kidnapping. non-con. unaliving. group activities.
CLIFFHANGER: no.
HEA: yes!

So I really didn't know how I was going to feel about this book, being a RH virgin over here, but I liked it! Imaging a similar scenario between me and three Charlie Hunnams and I'm just not mad 😏🤷‍♀️

Landry had every reason to despise Scout, Sparrow and Sully at the beginning of this book, but they were so attentive and caring towards our girls, especially Della, that she couldn't help but melt a little bit. AS DID WE. The boys saved Landry, but she also saved them. She was perfect for them. Especially Scout. He has so many levels and I love them all. I thought it was so cute how they all had their own nickname for Landry. Scout: prickly princess. Sparrow: Laundry. Sully: Honey. 😫

It's strange that a tiny flicker of heat can turn into a monstrous inferno. Kind of like Landry. A tiny strike and now she blazes inside me.

Uncovering what really happened to Landry at the hands of her father was SICKENING. I was sad for her, for Della. Growing up and being raised by a monster should make one weak, but Landry was unbelievably brave throughout. She used to play her father's game, pretending to be meek and obedient. That was until the boys helped her see how strong she truly was and then she became fierce. She no longer cowered to daddy, didn't back down. It was awesome to watch.

"Always on my best behavior, Daddy."
"Good girl."
Fuck you.

I want to see more of their future 😫 WHAT ARE THEY DOING NOW??? I'd also love to see where Ty ends up. Sweet baby, Ty. AND DELLA. I need Della's book because she is going to grow up being like a female Sparrow 😂 sassy little thing.

I'm so mad book 2 was also predictable.

But I’m very confused about the time lime, Lucian is in charge of the Morelli holding which only happened after he and Elaine came back from London.
Before he and Elaine fled, Lucian went after Lionel, so how the fuck could Lionel “one day” claim Bella???

This duet has had my curiosity going since Triple Threat and especially how this story would play out after that cliffhanger ending.

I was not a fan of the Terror Triplets and wasn't
sure if there was any chance of redemption for them but low and behold K. Webster did it. She made me think twice about these triplets and actually endeared them to me especially the way they protected and cared for the Croft sisters.

If you love a good dark, twisted, taboo read that will have you on the edge of your seat with anticipation while leaving you stunned by the sexy encounters then you'll definitely want to pick this one up now!

The conclusion is brilliant! The author takes her evil villains and makes them more relatable and I loved that. I came to love Scout, Sparrow and Sully. Landry was a heroine I loved as well.
The book is dark and steamy, in true K. Webster fashion, of course.
I highly recommend this duology and everything this author creates. Loved it.
