When a child's Christmas day is coming to a close, and the chocolates have been polished off, the batteries have stopped working in their new gadgets, and playing in an empty box has become boring , what better way is there, than enticing them up the wooden hill to bed, with the promise of reading them some funny rhymes? I'm sure a story about a pig pulling Santa's sleigh, along with over a 100 other amusing and silly rhymes, will not only make them giggle, but will keep the fantasy and magic of Christmas alive a little longer. And seeing as books don't require batteries, children can return to them time and again. 'Pigs can fly!!', is a wonderful treasure chest full of imaginative and make believe stories that kids will love. Merry Christmas everyone.
A beautiful Christmas gift to cherish! Brilliantly written, with a smile and a laugh, suitable for children and grown-ups as well. A beautiful book that everyone would love to have under the Christmas tree, wrapped in crisp Christmas paper.
What a creative and imaginative set of poems. I think children of all ages will laugh during "Beans and Greens" because farts are funny. :)
Education: There are many beginner words for stage 1 readers. Example: tall, small, round and sound. There're also harder words for the more experienced reader: pantomime and mackintosh.
If I could make one suggestion, I'd add images alongside the text. I believe children would love to see a giraffe playing a video game or a toothless crocodile.
I would recommend the poetry book for schools and home.
