A Running Man

Review for A RUNNING MAN by Berkeley Rourke.
The second in the series sees a totally different set of circumstances and a devastating event which shapes the story. The author writes true to the era with an accurate description of the times. The novel centres around a sad and devastating event in Ralph’s life, a crime so heinous, it shocks all of Yuma. Ross Hendershot is there to support his friend and find some justice. Justice is slow, though, and turns of events bring danger to Ross and Ralph, and to those close to them.
I enjoyed the story and find the author’s writing very descriptive, making for an enjoyable read. I would recommend this book.
Lots of action, true to the times.

I enjoy reading westerns as a change once in a while from the usual genre I read and the author does a great job bringing the feel of the old west to the future for readers to enjoy. This is actually a series, but you can read the books as stand alone reads. Jason Grant has escaped from Yuma territorial prison with the help of his father. Jason was in prison for murdering a young woman and her father will stop at nothing to catch the killer including enlisting the help of Ross Hendershot and a tracker named Manuel Esquerro. The author adds a great story to make the story more than just a shot 'em up western and readers will be engaged as they follow along in this suspense filled read.
