Rate this book
What is Wealth? What is Enough?

The path to success and the full glory of wealth is doing more with less! In this book, Piasecki urgently calls for a new era of restraint, public mindedness, and social purpose in capitalism. This homage to historical financial leaders allows an understanding between self-determination and self-actualization in a time of capital constraints.

This book helps you understand which attributes lead to the accumulation of wealth and using that wealth responsibly. Piasecki breaks open the differences between self-determination and self-actualization in a time of capital constraints.

Inspired by the wisdom of Ben Franklin―and his competitive insights into frugality, Bruce Piasecki incorporates his knowledge of corporate governance, energy, product, and environmental strategy.

‘Competitive frugality’ – introspective growth in our global community

New York author Bruce Piasecki is the President and Founder of The AHC Group, Inc (Advance Holding Corporation), a firm that specializes is critical areas of corporate governance, energy, product, and environmental strategy. He is a highly regarded speaker and advisor on shared value and social response capitalism, and in promoting his mission he has published eight books – A NEW WAY TO WEALTH is his latest offering.

Piasecki has long been a reporter/forecaster/seer in his books and research that have alerted us to climate change, the need for environmental respect, personal self-actualization, competitive frugality, and the challenge of redefining ‘wealth’ – the focus of this excellent new book. Written as an homage to Benjamin Franklin, the author states, ‘by paying this homage to Franklin in style and deed, we are reminding ourselves of that primal first self that knew about fair competition and frugality…Self-actualization, in this classic Ben Franklin sense, is about giving back, about stepping back to liberate more social capital in your friends, family, and firm. It is the essence of the positive side of corporate globalization…and it enables the productive competitive self to work in more productive and impactful teams.’

So much of the content of this superb and inspiring book embraces the above statement. For Piasecki, ‘wealth includes the full glory of wealth creation, not just material gains – doing more with less.’ And after discussing the parameters of his convictions about ‘wealth’ and the current perceptions by the public of competitiveness and personal gain, he emphasizes the need for faith in the future. ‘I am encouraging training that makes you tough, not just a competitor…you can fall, but you can get up and make the next set of days both frugal and competitive again.’

Rich in memorable passages that will sear the mind and memory, Piasecki forecasts, ‘A great change is coming. Powerful social and government movements have taken shape in recent times, calling for a change. This will prove a golden age in our use of money and rules, thanks to data analytics and other socially alert management systems on needed changes in human capital and energy.’ Reading and absorbing this book is an awakening, and reassuring, experience for us all. This is a book that should become ‘required reading’ – a route to being a giver, a person of impact in society – the path to wealth. Very highly recommended.
