أمام قسوة الواقع الذي يحياه الفلسطينيون، تسعى رواية باسم خندقجي إلى خلق واقع فني ممعن في قسوته. كأنه بذلك يقصد تعرية وضعنا الراهن الملتبس بعد سنوات من الانتفاضة الأولى التي انفجرت في الأرض المحتلة للتحرر من الاحتلال. فلم نتحرر منه ربما بسبب خلل فادح في التنظيم و ارتكاب الخطايا و الأخطاء.

He has studied at An-Najah National University and Al-Quds University. He was arrested by the Israeli defence forces on November 2, 2004, and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He has published several novels, poems, and studies from prison.

نجمة و نصف تكفي.

تذكرني سنية/سونيا بالعبارة الساخرة " women written by a man". تسخر هذه العبارة من تصوير الكتاب الرجال للشخصيات النسائية في أدبهم. اسلوب باسم الشاعري بالسرد عذب لكن بعض الشخصيات مكررة في روايتيه اللاحقتين. تنتهي هذه الرواية بترا تاركة القارئة تسائل إن كلنت هناك نية لجزء ثان.
