Most business books are filled with B.S. “Hack this!” “10X that!” “Guaranteed!” But the business success you want isn’t hidden inside thousands of buzzwords. Massive success only comes when you get massively clear about the one outcome you can control in your business: YOU. In The No B.S. Small Business Book, you will learn how to get ruthlessly honest about yourself, your business, and what you really want from both—and how to get it. You’ll roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, applying practical business strategies gleaned from decades of experience building and exiting successful companies. If you want to gain massive traction from achieving massive clarity as you take massive action at all levels of business and life as a no-B.S. business owner, then buckle up… This is the business book you’ve been waiting for.
There’s no BS. That’s for sure. Refreshing really. Lots of call out moments where Casey questions me (the reader) on honestly. The “business porn” concept is real. Also, the book is less about business and more about life. That’s why you can cut through the BS. Gets to the core of life much faster. Look forward to writing my obituary (gotta read through the end)!
This is the most insightful and introspective book on finding what you want out of your business I have read yet. It really is devoid of fluff or corporate jargon and helps you realize your real purpose.
In a world of business books that claim to do it all, The No B.S. Small Business Book cuts through the noise and hones in on a central theme: core values. Even if you're not a business owner, Graham's book can help anyone own their role and better align their actions with their own unique core value.
I really appreciate Graham's timbre throughout, and there's a lot to get out of this book if you give it a chance. Very quick read but a wholesome and pragmatic guide with some sage advice. Recommended especially for those looking to grow their business or careers.
I admire Casey's vulnerability in this book to share his mistakes, what he's learned, and how to do better as a leader. He lays out the framework he uses to lead his company and gives tangible tools to help you along the way if you want to adopt the same methods.
Although we have different opinions on some things, I have already shared a piece of his advice to a friend needing to have a "curious conversation" at work, and to me, that is what makes a book 5 stars. It's full of practical wisdom. Some of it I love. Some of it I will leave. But it's clear Casey put is heart into this book to genuinely try to help people with the knowledge he's gained through his experience.
I highly recommend this book - especially in conjunction with The Great Team Turnaround by Jeff Hilimire. I think they are a fantastic compliment to one another!
