Let's Play, Little Rabbit

Rate this book
From the author of the worldwide bestseller Tickle My Ears comes an interactive board book that will have toddlers, adults and rabbits all playing together. Join Little Rabbit, playing all the games toddlers love in this new fun and surprising board book in the internationally bestselling Tickle My Ears interactive series. Little Rabbit wants to play. He hides behind a blanket, then peeks Peek-a-boo! He splashes in the bath, swings back and forth, and plays with his own little rabbit too―one, two, three, whee, rabbit flies! Young children will love taking part in these familiar sequences and laugh at the cheeky finish, because Little Rabbit has grown up enough to play a joke on his readers. Jörg Mühle’s warm and accessible illustrations encourage children to take part in all the activities in the story as they copy Little Rabbit. This sweet and simple board book is designed to be read aloud inviting toddlers and preschoolers to join in and play, making it a perfect baby shower or infant birthday gift. Follow-on from Tickle My Ears : “A wonderful interactive bedtime book for children and little rabbits” Axel Scheffler of The Gruffalo

Little Rabbit is ready to play! He plays hide and seek with the reader. He needs a push on the swings. He jumps into the bath, splashing the reader with water and soap bubbles. At the end of the book, Little Rabbit shouts out, "Boo! Got you again!"

This is such an adorable board book! I love cute little Rabbit. He's such a little tiny cutesy baby bunny! I wanna give him a cuddly hug and pinch his little cheeks.

I like that this book has simple descriptions of sweet baby games, and invites the reader to join in. There's only one or two sentences on each page, perfect for little baby readers.

The illustrations are adorable and lovely. The design for Little Rabbit is charming, and every page is full of color and energy. It is sure to capture the attention of little eyes!

Csupa interaktív dolog ez is, kukucsolás, fröcskölés, zsippzsupp kenderzsupp, csikizés, és kisnyuszi erre adott reakciója a következő oldalon. A többi kötettől eltérően nincs sztori, nincs semmire felfűzve a dolog - mint a többinél a fürdés, alvás, bibi-kezelés -, csak random bolondozások vannak.

Originally published in German, this short board book with repetitive images in colorful artwork encourages toddlers to mimic the Little Rabbit in the book and then perhaps play similar games with the adults or older siblings in their lives. First, the child needs to find Little Rabbit, who is hiding behind a piece of cloth. Then, Little Rabbit wants to be pushed and then pushed even higher. The various scenes show Little Rabbit playing pranks with water and involving his stuffed toy with games. The interactive nature of the book allows youngsters to feel as though they, too, are part of his activities and that they've found a playmate. It's all simple yet developmentally appropriate, featuring a friendly, welcoming character who merely wants to play.

First published in German in 2021, an addition to the Little Rabbit series by Gecko Press.
In this one, Little Rabbit wants to play and asks the person to play with them. A deceptively simple text talks about 5 games Little Rabbit enjoys (2 double spreads each). Illustrations are simple and clean.

Kid-tested, highly approved.

Recommended for ages birth-toddlers.

Ik ben grote fan van de andere boeken in de serie, maar deze viel écht tegen. De opdrachten voelden veel geforceerder, minder plezant, minder alsof je er echt deel van bent en meer een toeschouwer.
