This first introduction to reading 'graphic novels' is fun for young readers. (There is a quick illustrated primer at the front telling the kids how to read the book. )
Then, the art takes over with easy-to-read dialogue, thought bubbles and exposition.
When Sprinkles and Swirls (two adorable cupcakes) sneak out of the bakery to have adventures at Fun Park, hilarity ensues. This is a world made up of both humans and personified food. (Carrots and celery are seen at the park as well.)
I would recommend for grades K thru 2.
