Lena is an actress hiding with her stepbrother Marc after an ex of hers released a bedroom video of her. She lost a role because of a morality clause , and her manager father is furious, mostly at Lena. Marc is the mascot for a NHL team and asks one of the players, his best buddy David, to look out for Lena. Marc needs to go out of town and asks Lena to cover for his shifts as the mascot. In the locker room, David shares some confidences with Lena in the costume, thinking that it's Marc, not able to tell the difference with the voice modulation in the helmet. They both have a crush on each other but he doesn't do relationships and Lena is going to go back to LA eventually so they agree to keep it casual.If only feelings didn't get in the way. David expects Marc to react badly when he hears about their relationship.
I enjoyed the story and the characters a great deal although there is a bit of awkwardness in all those brothers who get absurdly mad when they find out that their sisters are sexually active with someone they know. There was much ado about their age difference but at the end of the day he was only seven years older than her. Steam level: He likes to be in charge. Series status: The teammates and their girlfriends from previous books make cameo appearances and are a lovely supportive bunch, but the story stands well alone.

Pretty much raised in the public eye everything, and everyone is, new to you. When the custodial parent is also, Lena's agent, lines become blurred. So, when she meets a guy in the industry, and it feels like she clicks, she goes with it.
But, she figures out that after, a scandal he created, to save his dwindling career, at her expense. It leaves her skeptical, but also the escape she’s been looking for to leave Hollywood, and her father-agent, to find herself.
She lands on the sofa of her non-biological stepbrother, Marc, in Minnesota. Unbeknownst, to her father. She is on his sofa, for an entire week without showering, combing her hair, or brushing her teeth. That's when Marc lets her know, he needs her help but first, she needs to attend to her hygiene.
Lena knew she must be, a little ripe. Especially when Marc didn't sit next, to her on the sofa as he normally did. It hurts, but she gets it. When he explains, the TV pilot for the series is filming in, Vegas. She so excited, for him. She knew he was excited, and sidetracked, also. He is pondering something, and it's important.
It was alright, he needs her, to fill in for him as, Foxy the team Masqat. While he is filming, a pilot. No one can know, it’s Marc, in case the show doesn't get picked up. His contract, with the team, depends on it. With his sub, gunning for his spot, and if the pilot, doesn't get picked up, he is screwed.
He asks, her to do it. She agrees but, is not happy. He pulls her in for a hug, and, to kiss the top of, her head, he makes a face. It was sealed by, his teasing when, she is heading, to the guest room saying, “Now go shower. You’re stinking up my house. I’m serious.”
Marc couldn't just leave, well enough alone, oh no. He enlisted, David his best friend, to keep an eye out for his little sister, because of the depression of, the sex tape scandal. Poor, David is seriously not down, with that. You see, David has found his sister, hot as H---, since the day, he met her. Lena sees him in the same way, but because of his gruffness, to keep her away. She thinks he hates her, for being the stuck-up actress type.
The problem for him is, that she is his teammate’s, sister. Two, it is that she is more than, five years younger than, him. Not that, he ever found that, to be a problem. Since neither of them can string a sentence together. when around the other.
This is a fun series. Each book shows you so, many layers of all the characters, you have already read about. Not to mention, the new characters that you heard about, but have yet to get to know. As part of the family, called the Minnesota Raiders. David is no different. The gruff giant is a marshmallow.

Entertaining and fun read about a Hollywood starlet who is trying to stay off the radar after her ex-boyfriend releases a sex tape of them. She is hanging out at her brother’s condo In Minnesota, and when he asks her for a favor she can’t say no.
Lena wears the NHL hockey team’s mascot suit and covers her brother’s job while he is out of town shooting a TV pilot. His best friend David thinks he’s talking to his friend Marc when it’s really Lena in the mascot suit. When he finds out what’s been going on he’s livid and he hails Lena up to his rural cabin so they can talk.
Things heat up between them pretty quickly and they try a secret friends with benefits relationship. Both of them struggle with their feelings for each other and whether the other is in a t just for the physical or is there more.
I really enjoyed the storyline; however, it seems a bit ridiculous that the 6 year age difference between them is made into such a big deal. He is 27 and she’s 21. That’s not exactly a huge difference.
This is part of a series and has characters who appear who were the main chatting in prior books, but it can be read as a standalone with little issue figuring out the dynamics of the hockey players and their wives or girlfriends.

Penalty Shot (A Minnesota Raiders Novel) by Pippa Green is a wonderful,sport romance story of David and Lena..David is a gorgeous,quiet NHL star whos crushing with his bestfriend sister,Lena on the otherhand is an actress and in hiding from the press and her manager her father whos only thinking money and not his childrens.; when Lenas brother asked her to be the mascot of the NHL team that David played for so he can audition Lena agreed and nobody know it was her and not his brother,so when David shared some private things and knowing that the mascot is his BFF.; the two hit it off and date casually..very enjoyable read,well done!

another great read
David is quiet and Lena is a movie star. Seems like two totally different worlds but somehow they make it work.
This book was amazing. So many times I found myself smiling goofily to myself or close to tears at what these two felt for each other. From brothers best friend, grumpy sunshine, age gap (through not too big) to secret relationship, this book had it all. Lena is a great character and though she is a Hollywood star, we get to see just how much of an introvert she really is. And David is quiet and reserved but such a complex character. The spice was amazing and totally hot.
I’ve enjoyed every book in the series so far but this one is my favorite.

There she meets David who her brother Mark asks to watch over her. They are attracted to each other which slowly evolves to love as they spend time together. David is so much more than a hockey player and encourages Lena to be what she wants. Lena takes it to heart and does it. I like how David goes after Lena to ask her to be his.

I really enjoyed this book! This was my first read by Pippa Green but not the last. David seemed like a big grumpy hockey player but he was so much more. Lena was the perfect match for him, which they found out while she was hiding out after a scandal hit Hollywood. Best friends sibling is one of my favorite tropes, but you throw in sports romance with it and I'm sold. I can't wait to read more of this series.

Another Fantastic Read.
David was Lena’s brothers best friend. Lena has always had a thing for him but he only saw her as his best friends little sister. He also would remind her about the age difference between the two of them.
When Marc had to go out of town he ask David to watch over Lena. Lena saw this as her in to finally get David to want her the way she wanted him. Even when David tried his best to push her away, she won out and got him to want her.
They had a ton of problems but were able to work them out and their HEA was finally theirs.

Who doesn't love a good book about two people in love with each other but either don't think they deserve it, trust issues and not thinking it will work with distance /age?
This book has all the great feels and a good story. Pippa Green knows how to write a great book. I feel in love with Lena and David and still wanted more. She's an embarrassed movie star that's had her heart broke. He's a burly hockey player that has rules he lives by until Lena needs saving.

Marc has some business he insists he needs to take care of now and talked me into this very back situation. Lena act like she is interested in me. That can’t be because everyone thinks I’m a stupid beast. But I want her!!!!! But her brother will kill me if I do. I love this book! I could not put it down.

Penalty Shot is Lena and David's story. After a scandal in LA, Lena needs to get away and heads up to stay with her brother, Marc. David is a quite hockey player, who offer to keep an eye on Lena when he is out of town. This is a great story with a steamy connection, a slimy father, and friends that makes they an entertaining story that you won't want to put down.

My favorite couple!!! I loved that when they were put together in a unconventional way. Her brother is David's best friend and asks him to keep her safe. Lena is an actress who was betrayed by an ex boyfriend when he released a video of them together. David and Lena have always had an attraction that neither knew about. I thought this was such a cute story. Len and David had quite the chemistry together which was sizzling/ They really brought out the best in each other and made such an adorable couple. Though they had a few roadblocks, they do have a HEA and I thought it was an entertaining read.

I loved the chemistry between Lena and David. Despite his attraction he tried very hard to stay away from her out respect of extra for his friendship with her brother. A steamy love story that goes even farther into the family atmosphere of the Minnesota Raiders NHL team!

Great story
Age doesn’t matter. Lena and David’s story is so cute. A lot of passion and it was fun to watch how the two had a love if the same things. They were so compatible.

Lena, child star turned ingenue, flees to her brother amidst a scandal in LA. Mark, her stepbrother, is Foxy the White Fox mascot of the Minnesota Raiders hockey team. He, too, had been a child star. Scott, Marc's best friend on the team, mostly a loner and not into crowds, is thoroughly taken with Lena, but there's a "bro code" regarding younger sisters!
There is so much more to these leading characters that will be discovered throughout this book. It has a very interesting plot twist, a horrible father/manager, wonderful friends from the previous books, a terrific ending and enough heat to singe the pages of your book or steam up your e-reader! It's a great addition to Eden Dunn's Minnesota Raiders series!
