This "fold-out, lift-the-flap ABC Book" is fabulous! A-B-C book of Christmas themed vocabularies. A for Angel on top of the tree. G for Gingerbread, M for Mittens, O for Ornaments, S for Snowflakes and more! A super fun accordion book for kids. The back of the story has illustrations of bears, penguins, elephants, reindeers, and other animals playing in the snow like building a snowman, skiing, snowball fights, etc. my toddler loves to open the book and sit in the middle. There are pictures to look front and back. I love this book and we have read it often.

CHRISTMAS STREET is a delightful board book with lift-the-flaps. Each page spread features four flaps, one for each letter with a holiday-related definition. Together, they form a rhyme that carries throughout the book. Notably, the book also pulls out into a little village that can stand on its own, with a full image on the backside as well.
What I loved: The illustrations are absolutely lovely with plenty of animals and holiday-related scenes. The use of flaps is quite clever throughout, giving peeks inside these festive buildings. The artwork also lends itself to becoming a toy with the town and buildings pulling out to stand as a long street. The use of colors is just lovely and perfectly on theme throughout.
The text is also really clever, walking through the alphabet in a way that feels true to the non-religious holiday spirit while also rhyming. The text rolls off the tongue and appears on the back of each of the flaps while children can explore the image revealed. This will work well for toddlers and preschoolers.
What left me wanting more: As a small thing, some of the choices are a little awkward, but these are the typical challenges with alphabet books. X is for X-mas, which is a tough and little misleading one, and Z is for Zzz, which does work for the end of the book. The flaps are also a bit thin, so rougher children will definitely tear some of these off. As the text is written on the back of the flaps, you could lose part of the story in the process.
Final verdict: CHRISTMAS STREET is a lovely and charming board book with a clever design that works as a book and a toy to celebrate the holiday and the alphabet.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW ON MY BLOG http://bookreadingtic.com/2022/11/25/... THANK YOU!
Come to the Christmas Village!
This adorable book takes place on Christmas Street—a cute village that has flaps that open. Inside them will be found residents busy with different Christmas tasks such as decorating the tree, making gingerbread or present shopping. Additionally, each flap shows a letter of the alphabet that has a Christmas theme.
As the reader goes down Christmas Street, another building folds out until the book becomes over eight feet long! Besides being something to read, this book can stand up on its own, and even become a decoration.
Children will be amazed to have a book that is this big, along with all the fun flaps to open. The members of the village are cute animals such as reindeer, bears and even giraffes. The illustrator, Ingela P. Arrhenius, made the pictures brightly colored and endearing.
Little ones through five-years old will love this lift-the-flap board book. They will enjoy the many surprises under the flaps, the book's ability to grow, along with the way it can be set up when opened. This sturdy book is sure to last a long time, and I highly recommend it!

The pages of this book fold out into an 8-foot street of homes and Christmas shops where the animals are doing their Christmas shopping. On the opposite side of the pages is a wintery scene where the animals are ice skating and throwing snowballs. When you aren't using the book, you can tie it closed with the pretty yellow ribbon that is attached.
On each page there are two flaps to be lifted, and we can see inside the shops and houses to see what the animals are doing. We read from A to Z about all the Christmas traditions of the animals. Each page has a rhyming couplet. "A is for Angel on top of the tree, B is for bow being tied carefully." "S is for snowflakes in all shapes and sizes. T is for toys that will make nice surprises."
This book is so adorable! I love the bright illustrations and all the cute animal characters. There is something fun happening in the background of every scene, so that you could spend a long time gazing at each page to see what special festivities are going on.
This book captures the magic of Christmas!

This lift-the-flap book is so creative and will inspire hours of play and learning. The book is full of fun and quirky rhymes that take the reader through the shops and to meet the people on Christmas Street, all the while learning the letters and sounds along the way. Each page spread features four flaps, one for each letter with a holiday-related, non-religious, definition. Together, they form a lilting, easy flowing ABC rhyme that carries throughout the book. But that’s not all! This book also folds out into a little village that can stand on its own, and includes a beautifully illustrated lively snow scene where the children can formulate their own story telling that will inspire hours of imaginative play. I can see getting lost in the dreamy pastel artwork by the author and illustrator, Ingela P. Arrhenius. This is a wonderful ABC book and would make a great gift for a budding reader! This clever design works both as a book and a toy to celebrate the holiday season and the alphabet. This will definitely be under the tree for my grandson!

This is an absolutely charming, fun alphabet book focusing on Christmas. It is a fold-out book and as it expands it creates a street scene. On each page there are 2 lift-the-flaps that reveal a line of the lilting poem. Nice rhyming and cadence.
The illustrations are absolutely delightful. Cute. Lively. Lots of treasures to find in the pictures.
The reverse of the fold-out-street scene is a lively snow scene where the children can formulate their own story telling.
A delightful book that has a ribbon closure tie to hold it all together.

Kniha číslo třináct v adventním kalendáři “Vánoční městečko” tě začala pořádně bavit až dva měsíce po Vánocích, kdy jsem ji už pomalu chtěla uklidit. Myslím si, že větší úspěch sklidí příští rok.
