A sometimes overstuffed and perplexing bounce-around between cosmic crossovers (Infinities Gauntlet and War), this collection still features some stellar (interstellar?) storytelling and choice Dr. Strange moments. The best of the bunch, for me, was The Way to Dusty Death, a team-up with Spider-Man.
Okay, is this a perfect book? No. Is it everything I love about comics? Yes. This scratches all my comic book nerd itches. Long term storytelling, long ago references, over the top villains, and I just really like the Dr Strange character. Even though half the book is about Infinity War, which I have never read, I still loved it. I had a great time just being in the Marvel Universe for 400 pages. The Fear Lords story was fun, the Wolverine crossover was fun, and getting to know the magic mythos of the Marvel Universe is fun. The art was of its time but serviceable to the stories. Highly recommend for any Marvel nerd.
