Did jumping into marriage too fast put the brakes on their future?
The holiday season has arrived. It’s their first Christmas as a married couple, and newlyweds Davey and Tyler are experiencing more than a few relationship pains. They need to find a new racer for the Apex team, and jealousy over the new addition sparks between them.
They’ve come such a long way, but their relationship progressed faster than souped up dirt bikes. Was it too fast?
The two men are forced to slow down and reexamine their love and what they want for the future because Christmas isn’t all racetracks and dirt bikes.

Holeshot Christmas is third in the series but can be read as a standalone. Also check out how Davey and Tyler get together in The Holeshot!
Lynn Michaels lives and writes in Tampa, Florida where the sun is hot and the Sangria is cold. When she’s not writing she’s kayaking, hanging with her husband, or reading by the pool. Lynn writes Male/Male romance because she believes everyone deserves a happy ending and the dynamics of male characters can be intriguing, vulnerable, and exciting. She has both contemporary and paranormal titles and has been writing since 2014. Her stories don’t follow any set guidelines or ideas, but come from her heart and contain love in many forms.
This was a cute little novella about two people who quickly found love and took it by the reigns, but are now settling in and finding out new depths to their love despite each others quirks.
It was delightful to visit with Davey and Tyler again especially given the joy newlyweds can experience around the holidays. But Tyler gets himself in a bit of trouble when he is given an expensive set of tools by a manager from another Supercross dirtbike competition team. Davey calls attention to Tyler's flirty, "I want everyone to like me" ways after returning the tools to the sender. Tyler calls his long-time childhood friend and gets confirmation that Davey's observation is correct. Together they determine it is linked to his father's abandonment so very many years ago. In the meantime, Davey has won two consecutive championships and will retire from driving only to manage the Apex team, which includes Sarah--a young woman who seems promising. The team also includes Bryce with Pilot of Trident security still performing duties as one of several bodyguards for Apex. Tate understandably maintains a tight connection with them though he is still driving for another team. All things considered, the novella is a delightful look into Davey and Tyler's current lives that adds to the series beautifully.
Whew!! This is a hot, hot Christmas story. This is featuring Tyler and Davey. They have a few spats but boy are the make up scenes something else. This takes place after Davey has won his second championship. He and Tyler go to Vegas to check out a rider they want to recruit. Yeah, this book is HOT!! Davey and Tyler are quite a pair. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!

I've done something I rarely do in the world of fiction and that is to read a Christmas novella in the middle of the series. I had previously read book 3, Bike Business, but I have yet to go back and catch the first two. Lynn Michaels' Holeshot series is a standalone series where each entry features a different couple EXCEPT for this holiday novella, Tyler and Davey were the featured couple in book 1 Holeshot.
Was I lost? No. However, I did have a few moments where I feel I would have appreciated the chemistry between Tyler and Davey even more had I read the beginnings of their relationship. But lost? Not at all.
Holeshot Christmas is a lovely holiday novella giving us a window to view a little bit of the characters' HEA(or is it? No spoilers for you😉😉) and the fact that it was set during the holidays is just icing on the cake. There is heat, humor, and heart the 3 H's that can make or break or story for me, well this was definitely not broken. Mix in a well balanced dramatic element and you have a holiday romance that will be sure to put a smile on your face. What more could a reader ask for?
One last note: Going back to my reading out of order stated earlier, sometimes knowing where a couple is at can ruin my desire to read their beginnings, kind of like seeing the end of a movie and because it's spoiled you don't need to see the beginning. Well, Holiday Christmas definitely did not "spoil" or "ruin" my desire to go back to the beginning but I also can't lie, it may be a while before doing so giving the waters in my brain to muddy but I will most certainly be going back in, it's already on my Kindle.
"This is your fault. You were way too nice to that guy at the retirement event." "You had to do something to give him the impression that you were easy."
Davey is so toxic. He blamed Tyler for being nice to people and them getting the wrong idea. It is not Tyler's fault, nor his responsibility to control other people's conclusions and feelings.
If Davey was uncomfortable in the reactions of others toward Tyler, he needed to tell Tyler that without blaming him. Something like, "I think other people are taking your niceties and reading into it more then you are intending. I love how nice and kind you are to everyone, but other people are taking it further. I never want you to be anyone but yourself, nor do I want to stifle how nice you are, but could we maybe figure out together how to prevent other people from thinking you are flirting with them?"
This infuriated me.
They also would get into arguments, and then just abruptly stopped the conversation. The characters were not trying to change the subject or get sidetracked or anything. It is like sentences were missing or deleted with how abrupt it was.
Although going back to characters who have had their happily ever after is a bit of a no-no for me. I like to leave it with the book ending, unless something significant happens. And while this was a great glimpse into their lives, there was a bit of angst I could've lived without. A good read nonetheless.
New to me author. This is a contemporary Christmas new year mm novella set in the USA. Main characters are Davey a dirt bike rider and Tyler his mechanic and husband. I had no real connection to either main character. I had not read the series but the author explained who all the secondary characters were.
Liked this book this book contained info on these guys from before now they are married they still will have a lot to talk about ,because there relationship happened very fast and like other people ,,they didn’t sit down and talk about what they wanted in there lives and how to grow together .
For anyone wanting more of Davey and Tyler this is your short but sweet chance! Even Cole had a cameo!! I loved spending Christmas with them all but now I can't wait for more of those holeshot boys!!
