USA Today Bestselling author Nicole Flockton writes sexy contemporary romances, seducing you one kiss at a time as you turn the pages. Nicole likes nothing better than taking characters and creating unique situations where they fight to find their true love.
On her first school report her teacher noted "Nicole likes to tell her own stories". It wasn’t until after the birth of her first child and after having fun on a romance community forum that she finally decided to take the plunge and write a book.
Apart from writing Nicole is busy looking after her very own hero – her wonderfully supportive husband, and two fabulous kids. She also enjoys watching sports and, of course, reading.
This was a great read, but also very infuriating to me, and I'll tell you why in a minute! This story was well thought it, and had a ton of depth to it and was very well written. It was immersive, and I was so happy to be back in Bunya Junction. For a final novel to a series this one knocked it out of the park. HOWEVER, and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of the 5 I so desperately want to give it, is because the main characters were so stubborn and in their own heads, the whole book could have been resolved in the matter of a few chapters if they would have just communicated! I wanted to bang my head against the wall at just how stubborn they were both being. That's the only reason I can't give this one 5 stars is because of my angst with the characters. I loved them but also hated them. I absolutely loved this series and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read them! I highly recommend this book and series.
Reunion in the Outback is book 4 in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series. I have not read the others in the series, but despite that, I had no problem following the story. I feel like it can easily be read as a standalone.
I love a really good second chance romance, and this one did not disappoint. It actually stood apart from so many others in the genre. The writer gave me something different. This is about a couple, Yolanda and Michael, who have been together for many years and were happily married until a scary medical emergency threw their marriage into turmoil. Neither she nor Michael are sure they can ever find their way back to one another.
Michael and Yolanda were wonderful characters. They were both complex and complicated. Flockton did a great job of continually adding layers to them in each chapter with both Yolanda and Michael each telling me their story. Both of them are also keeping very important secrets from each other, but that was a symptom of their marriage at that point. I so wanted them to find their way back to each other. They loved each other so much, but doubts kept creeping back in, so they would take two steps backward for each step forward. However, I was very pleased with the ending.
Flockton is a new writer for me, and I can’t wait to read more from her, especially the earlier books in the series. It was a gorgeous story about love, loss, separation, reunion, and the importance of family.
The final (sob!) brilliant book in the Bunya Junction series. I love these people! I'm attached to them all! I need more of them! I'll take novellas, short stories, bonus chapters, I don't care!
We've heard about Yolanda, the baby sister of Scott, Jonas, and Sindy, through the first three books, so we've been waiting to meet her and get her story. And what a story it is!!!
Michael and Yolanda have been happily married since they graduated from high school and ran away to the big city to start their lives together.
But years later, a tragedy has put a strain on their marriage, and Yolanda decides to take her daughter and return to her hometown of Bunya Junction. She needs her family around while she decides what to do with her life.
Her husband Michael is a successful chef at a demanding restaurant. He's stunned when he discovers Yolanda took off for a family visit without him. But when 1 week turns into several, he resolves to take matters into his own hands and go after her.
When he gets there, it turns out they are both hiding a big secret. Will they find the courage to open up to each other?
This is a heart warming/heart wrenching look at an adult marriage. I cried. But I also laughed and gasped and cheered.
I am wrecked that the series is over. I want to spend more time with these people. They've become friends.
Thank you Nicole for writing 4 thoughtful, funny, sweet, sexy books and introducing us to these people and this town.
Yolanda and her husband Michael left Bunya Junction years ago for the big city. Childhood sweethearts, she was tired of being mollycoddled by her family and he was trying to escape being the son of the town drunk.
They made a good life for themselves in the city, Michael rose to become head chef at a famous restaurant. Yolanda worked until they had a baby then was a stay-at-home mum with a burgeoning YouTube channel giving make-up advice and tutorials. Everything changed when Yolanda miscarried their second child and nearly died. The shock terrified Michael and as a consequence he started treating her like a fragile piece of porcelain, less of a partner and more of a responsibility. Michael's attitude reminds Yolanda of her family's over-protectiveness, especially when he refuses to countenance her having another baby, or getting a job, or putting the baby in childcare once a week. Suspecting she is in fact pregnant again, Yolanda broaches the possibility to Michael who overreacts and it culminates in Yolanda taking their daughter back to Bunya Junction for "a break".
Meanwhile, Michael is devastated at the loss of his wife and child who he loves more than anything in the world, then he is let go when the restaurant is sold to a new owner who wants to bring in their own chef. All his worst nightmares are coming true, Michael feels just as much a loser as his father. Determined to win back his wife, Michael comes back to Bunya Junction and lands a temporary job as chef at Yolanda's brother's bar and grill.
I really struggled with this book, it has that old-school Mills & Boon vibe to it which was off-putting to start with. Then I just realised that all this drama was caused because the two of them couldn't/wouldn't speak to each other, Yolanda especially does everything to avoid seeing or speaking to Michael - despite the fact that she loves him. Michael also has some pretty overbearing tendencies, I think if I was on a break and my partner sat in the bar every night while I worked, waited until everyone else left and then tried to put the moves on me I'd call the cops! Also they were both keeping secrets, Michael doesn't know Yolanda is pregnant, she doesn't know he's lost his job.
At nearly halfway through I was starting to get a rinse-and-repeat vibe, she melts every time he gets close then she runs away and doesn't want to speak to him. He gets all caveman but doesn't tell her the truth. Rinse and repeat.
Sorry, just not for me.
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher Tule in return for an honest review.
Michael and Yolanda Watson are high school sweethearts. They are very much in love still years later. They have an adorable toddler named Jayne and Yolanda wants another baby. Michael is very much against the idea because Yolanda had a miscarriage previously and almost dies as a result. Drs advised to be very cautious if they decide to have another baby and that she would definitely be high risk. She can’t get over the fact that he doesn’t want another baby and she feels like he puts his chef job before his family. Because of these feelings she leaves to go back to her hometown to stay with family and get away for a while. Michael is completely distraught over losing his family even for a week (so he thinks). He tries to give her her space until a week turns into two, then three and he wonders if she will ever come home. Then Michael loses his beloved chefs position because the owner unexpectedly sales the restaurant. He needs/wants Yolanda more than ever. He decides to go back to his hometown and get his family back. Yolanda is very surprised and distant when he shows up. She finds out she IS pregnant again and doesn’t tell Michael. Michael doesn’t tell Yolanda he has lost his job. They are both keeping secrets. Yolanda very much still loves and misses her husband but she is pregnant and Michael has already said he doesn’t want another baby. She doesn’t know what to do. Throw in Yolandas very protective family and it is a very stressful situation. Do they work it out? Do they decide to stay separated? What will happen to Yolanda and the baby? This book is so good and there are so many great characters. I love Yolanda’s close knit family. They love fierce and are protective of their baby sister but they do also care for Michael. He is a good man and she hasn’t told anyone why she left him so they are left speculate what has happened. The author did an amazing job of showcasing the love of siblings and true love between a husband and wife.

Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton Everyone deserves a second chance… Yolanda Watson thought she had left her hometown in her rearview mirror when she married her high school sweetheart and moved to the big city. Nearly a decade later, she’s returning to Bunya Junction newly separated and with her young daughter in tow. Maybe, surrounded by family, she can start again and rebuild her life. Although a piece of her heart is still miles away… Michael Watson thought he had it all, until his wife left him and everything else in his life quickly crumbled at his feet. But Michael isn’t one to give up so easily, and he especially isn’t ready to end the marriage to his soulmate. Determined to put his family back together, he heads to Bunya Junction, willing to do whatever it takes to make Yolanda see that their story is far from over. Although telling her the truth about his circumstances is harder than he thought. But secrets have a way of coming out. When Yolanda’s and Michael’s are revealed, it’ll be the ultimate test of their love. This is Yolanda Watson and Michael Watson's story. Yolanda Watson checked the calendar for a sixth time; the numbers hadn’t changed. “Lana, have you seen my chef’s coat? I need to get going.” Her husband’s voice pulled her from her study of the dates, and she whirled around to find him behind her. “I left it hanging in the bathroom so the steam could help with the creases.” “No. Emphatically no.” Michael’s body was stiff, as if it was carved out of granite. His lips a firm line and his arms crossed over his chest. He was radiating ‘no entry allowed’. “You heard what the doctor said after the miscarriage, when you almost died. The risk is too great. I won’t allow it.” Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton is a 4 star book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Reunion in the Outback is the fourth and final book in the Welcome To Bunya Junction series by Nicole Flockton. This was a bit of a bittersweet read for me, as on one hand I was excited to finally get Yolanda and Michael’s story- but also sad that this is the final instalment in the series as I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the characters or Bunya Junction. But Nicole Flockton certainly didn’t disappoint with this final book- providing a wonderful story to finish the series on. Reunion in the Outback is a second chances contemporary romance, set in a small town in the Australian Outback. The story is beautifully woven (as expected), with family, angst, emotion, drama, communication issues, marriage woes, separation, secrets, and how the power of love can overcome anything. If you haven’t read these wonderful books yet, the series follows the Carruthers siblings, who each get their own book- Sindy (Book One), Jonas (Book Two), Scott (Book Three), and Yolanda (Book Four). This is Yolanda and Michael’s story, and what a story they had to tell. It is a little different from the others in the series, being that Yolanda and Michael have a well of history between them, and being married but now separated. Yolanda has returned to her hometown in the outback to regroup after her marriage woes. Is this really the end? What happens when Michael decides that he doesn’t want to lose the love of his life? What is he willing to do to prove his love and commitment to Yolanda? And most importantly, will Yolanda give him a chance to try to rekindle their love- or is it all a case of ‘too little-too late? The story is definitely worth the read to find out. I wonder what Ms. Flockton has in store for us next? Happy Reading!
It's a reunion of siblings when Yolanda (also known as Yolo and Lana) arrives on her brother Scott's doorstep with her young daughter, Jayne. We've met Scott, Sindy, and Jonas in previous books and we get to interact with them more with Lana's story.
She's yearned for another child for years but Michael, Yolanda's husband, can't bear to see her again the way she was earlier in the year when she miscarried. Upset, Yolanda gathers up Jayne and they return to Yolo's home in Bunya Junction. She avoids all the questions from the family, just letting them know she needs some time away. After all, Michael will be busy at the restaurant, which is where he practically lives these days anyway.
Michael can't figure out what he did to have the love of his live leave with his daughter. That's issue #1. Then the phone rings added an additional layer to already mounting pile of disasters. He loves the fact that Charles gave him this opportunity to be the head chef of Charlie's but he also realizes the time he spends there might be impacting his marriage.
Not being able to withstand the separation any further, Michael leaves Sydney and heads to Bunya Junction. After all, with his new news, he's got the time to work on his relationship now. Will it be too late? With so many secrets flying around, is there any hope left?
This book concludes the Bunya Junction series. I'm a little sad to see it end!! I've enjoyed getting to know the Carruthers family and all their dysfunctions! Each of these books may be read as a standalone but I enjoyed reading them all fairly close together. I highly recommend this series to those who enjoy a good family full of perfectly dysfunctional issues to help us all feel a little more normal. :)
This is the fourth book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction Series and I cannot tell you how much I loved it. The most important part, in my opinion, is that this book is able to stand alone as a strong novel on its own. I have not read the other three books in the series, but I promise that I will now as I want to know more about the characters that I grew to love throughout this story.
In Reunion in the Outback we meet Yolanda and Michael who are living their life in Sydney. They have just weathered one of the toughest trials of their marriage, and to be honest, their lives. They also managed to do this without the support of family nearby. Michael has been trying to outrun the reputation of his father while Yolanda has been trying to prove her independence from her close knit family.
When Yolanda senses changes in their lives, she chooses to run back to her family for their support. She needs space from Michael and she needs space to think. But is her family the best choice to return to.
Soon Michael is blindsided by even more change and he finds himself with the ability to run after Yolanda to try to win her back. But by returning home to Bunya Junction, he must face all that he ran from when he left and the reputation of his father. Is winning Yolanda back worth facing his fears? Will facing his fears win Yolanda back?
Both of them need to decide if they should stay apart or if they really were better together. They also must decide if what they were running away from all those years ago in Bunya Junction is really what they thought it was. Maybe their life and their home isn’t in Sydney after all.
I really enjoyed Yolanda and Michael’s story in Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton, book four in her Welcome to Bunya Junction series. This is story is a fascinating picture of a marriage in deep crisis, demonstrating how one can be so deeply involved and connected, yet feel so far apart; alone. We are back in Bunya Junction with another of the Carruthers siblings; this time it’s Yolanda Watson. Yolanda married her high school sweetheart right after graduation, leaving for the bright lights of Sydney. Six years later, Michael is a very busy chef, Yolanda has built up a successful career as a makeup influencer on the web and after a health scare she feels he is never home; not spending enough time with her and their little girl. The distancing gets worse when he reacts negatively to the possibility of a second child and tired of his attitude, Yolanda packs up herself and her young daughter, running back to Bunya Junction. Michael realizes after a few weeks that he is miserable without his family with him. And when the restaurant is sold and he is let go, he knows he has to go after his family and return to the small town he had said he would never return to. Despite both being in the same town, each of them have a secret they fear to share, making reconciliation difficult, if not almost impossible. Michael and Yolanda need to regain the trust and communication they once had before all is lost; with both of them losing their soul-mate.
Ms. Flockton wrote a passionate, sweet and emotional story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with chemistry, intense conversations, and endearing characters giving Yolanda and Michael a second chance for their forever future together. I highly recommend Reunion in the Outback to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
This is the 4th book in the Bunya Junction series and I really enjoyed it like the books before.
This book was slightly different in the sense that it wasn't 2 strangers finding love but a married couple falling out and back in love with each other. The author does an amazing job of showing the reader the realities of married life, showing that it isn't always love and romance and that sometimes you have to lose something to realise what you have.
When Yolanda leaves her husband Michael she feels she needs to return to Bunya Junction to give herself time to heal. After a marriage that had suffered misunderstandings, and disagreements through the years she feels they need a fresh start so leaves with her young daughter. However things aren't that simple as she realises she left part of herself with her husband.
After Yolanda leaves Michael starts to realise what he had in his relationship and wants to get his wife back so he plans to return to a place he vows never to return to so he can save his family.
There are things at work in the back ground such as demons in Michael's past that Yolanda doesn't know about, will she realise what they are before its too late to save them. This story is beautifully written and I loved reading and sensing the realisation that Michael comes to when he realises that he needs to put his family over any job. The author's writing is very emotive and drags the readers in. You can't put it down until you know their ending.
Oh man it was good to be amongst my people of Bunya Junction again ❣️thank you for opening your homes, loves , hearts and pub …. Love you guys !
So Jolanda is the baby of the family and on top of it all she was rather sickly so you can imagine that everyone treats her with kid gloves and while I understand it I also get that it would big her and the minute she can she leaves but when trouble strikes where do we head …. Home and that’s just what she did along with her precious little girl …
Michael has a chip on his shoulder but he’s nothing like he makes himself out to be but having said that I fully understand his emotions , insecurities and need to prove himself ….
So Michael and Jolanda had a tragic event I. Their lives and each person deals with grief and trauma in their own way but I learnt from them that communication is of the essence and don’t assume what someone else is feeling and while I know all this watching how life unfolded and nearly crumbled for them it just reminded me again to talk , be honest and work through things ….
Tej other thing that really hit home is how Jolanda and Michael worked through things they didn’t just give up and in this day and age it’s just so easy to walk away and they didn’t they fought hard and worked even harder …. Good on you guys !
It’s hard saying goodbye to Bunya Junction and it’s people but thank you for the journey and the life lessons ❣️🤗
This story is an offshoot of the other books in the Welcome to Bunya Junction. But it can be read as a stand alone.
Yolanda Watson has returned back home to her family and hometown Bunya Junction with her daughter in tow. She has left her husband, Michael, behind back in Sydney. Yolanda has had it with her husband Michael. They had fallen in love quite young and both left Bunya Junction to forge a life for themselves. They have built a successful life for the themselves in Sydney. Michael is a chef at a successful Sydney restaurant and Yolanda has built up a successful career as a makeup influencer on the web. But they have been dealing with some strain which has led to Yolanda packing up herself and her young daughter and running back to Bunya Junction.
Michael realizes after a few weeks that he is miserable without his family with him. And when the restaurant is sold and he is let go, he knows he has to go after his family and return to the small town he had said he would never return to. But once he returns to Bunya Junction, he comes to realize that home is really where the heart is. And this where the story gets to become a don't put down book. So plan some quiet time to read this novella in one go.
I did receive a copy of this novel in advance from the publisher in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
Received an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for a fair review A riveting picture of a marriage in deep crisis, “Reunion in the Outback”, by Nicole Flockton (Tule Publishing), shows how one can be so deeply involved and connected and yet feel so far apart. I really enjoyed reading a story about a married couple and how Michael and Yolanda do incomprehensible and irrational things that make sense in a troubled matrimony. I found it original and fresh. The web of fears, misunderstandings and hurt separating them is realistic. Despite all this, there’s closeness, empathy and intimacy, and I liked how the author described it in terms of past and present reality. The need to touch each other and the tenderness between Michael and Yolanda are interesting and I would have liked to have more of these dimensions explored. Both Michael and Yolanda have engaging jobs that were nicely interwoven with the story. I particularly enjoyed the hero’s occupation as a chef. The secondary characters and the sense of community provide a cozy background. I liked that Michael is a character with a troubled past and has some insecurities and fears to overcome. The lack of communication was perhaps exaggerated, but then we wouldn’t have this story. Michael’s attitude of postponing was a bit annoying but that happens in real life.
I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming romance, and having loved the previous books in this series it was nice to be back in Bunya Junction. The storyline focuses on Yolanda Watson, who has returned to her hometown from the big city, having separated from her high school sweetheart husband, Michael. Yolanda and her young daughter are back in Bunya Junction and surrounded by family and hoping to start a new life, but she’s missing her husband. Meanwhile, Michael’s life is falling apart after his wife left him, and he’s definitely not ready to give up on his marriage to his soulmate. Michael returns to Bunya Junction, willing to do anything to get his family back, and make Yolanda see that they still love each other. However, Michael has a secret to tell, but telling his wife the truth about his circumstances is harder than he expected, and it will be the ultimate test of their love. As usual the authors descriptive narrative brings the wonderful setting of Bunya Junction vividly to life, making me feel yet again immersed in the place. The characters are likeable and relatable, especially Yolanda and Michael and I was hoping they would get their HEA. I liked that the romance storyline was slightly different as the couple were actually already married. An enjoyable and engaging read which I definitely recommend.
We are back in Bunya Junction with another of the Carruthers siblings. This time it’s Yolanda Watson. Yolanda married her HS sweetheart right out of HS and they left for the bright lights of Sydney. Six years later, Michael is a very busy chef, and Yolanda feels he is never home and is not spending enough time with her and their little girl. The distancing gets worse when he reacts negatively to the possibility of a second child. Never expected to have Yolanda leave him and return to her hometown. All made even worse when he looses his job. Even though he goes to see her, both are keeping secrets making a reconciliation almost impossible. We watch them experience the struggles of a marriage, where trust and communication are lost. Michael’s childhood has left him fighting inner demons and having a low self-esteem. Will Yolanda be able to realize this before it’s too late? Will they learn from their mistakes? This was a touching story and a little bittersweet, since it’s the last one of this much loved series. I appreciated that the author let the reader know how the characters from previous stories were doing. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Yolanda and Mark have loved each other from school got married and moved to the big city, but things have started to strain and Yolanda does not know what to do. She decides to go back home and try and work through her emotions.
Mark arrives home and find Yolanda and his daughter have gone to visit family but as the weeks go by he realises that there is something seriously wrong, so he packs up and follows them to Bunya Junction to try and save his family.
This story has been brewing through the last three stories and I am so glad Yolanda and Mark get to share their journey with us in this book. This story was heart warming and real, real everyday struggle with some secrets added in.
The story is well written and winds through the characters trying to come to terms with themselves as well as trying to drawn them back together. As you read through the story you understand there is much more to their story and it was thoroughly enjoyable. I loved the way the secondary characters are compliment the main characters and offer support.
To be honest every story I read by this author is wonderful, I am a little sad that this is the last book in this wonderful series but can wait for the next book/series to come along.
In this book we get the story of the 4th, and final, Carruthers sibling, youngest child Yolanda. We really didn’t hear much about Yolanda in the first 3 books until she appeared unexpectedly at the end of book 3. Yolanda has been living in the city with her husband Michael and 3 year old daughter Jayne. Their marriage is going through a rocky patch so she decides to come home to Bunya Junction to get a break and to re-evaluate her life. This is different from most other romance books in that the couple are already married. This is the very angsty tale of how Michael follows Yolanda and tries to win her back. I really did enjoy Michael and Yolanda’s story. It’s very much a story of how a lack of communication can lead to such strife. If only they would talk to each other about how they are truly feeling. Although if they did that, we wouldn’t get this great angsty story to get our teeth stuck into. I loved that we got to see all 4 couples from this series but I’m now gutted that this series has come to an end. I will definitely read this book (and the rest of the series) again.
This is the first time I have read this book or this author. I love a good marriage in trouble romance and this book was definitely that. This book stars a young couple Yolanda, Michael and their young daughter, Jayne. They have moved to the big city and things for them as a family are going VERY badly. Yolanda is unhappy so she goes home to Bunya and her and Jayne are welcomed. Meanwhile one of the prime issues is that Michael works around the clock and Yolanda feels he loves it more than her. But Michael ends up losing his job and so he decides to go after what he can fix, namely his family.
I enjoyed this story and I enjoyed watching Michael realize what is important in life. I liked that Yolanda while running away was also trying to find herself and came to realise that home is where the heart is and that love and family are truly what's important. It was a heart warming story with characters I grew to love.
I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the fourth book in this series which I have enjoyed from the first book in this series. This can be read as a standalone series which I highly suggest doing to help your enhancement of this series and of this author’s writing skills. I enjoyed this romance story about Micheal and Yolanda and their second chance at love. As they separate, Yolanda goes back home with their daughter trying to make a clean break. Michael has something else in mind. What will happen when he shows up determined to put his marriage back together. What will fate have in store for these two? Will they get their second chance at love? I enjoyed these two characters and how they pop off the pages. They took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride that kept me coming back for more. They are relatable and have great chemistry. I also enjoyed their growth throughout the story. They had me wanting them to get back together so they could once again be happy. This is a great story that is fast paced and hard to put down. I highly recommend this book and this author.
I have been loving this series since the first book. I fall in love with the author's writing and the characters that I meet along the way every single time. I must say this one was among the best that I have read. I loved the storyline of this one, the talk of second chances, and fighting for what you want. It was beautiful!
This was an empowering read. Sometimes in life stuff will happen and you lose sight of what is important. That does not mean it is gone forever. Sometimes you have to help it find its way back to you. And sometimes that road traveled is the less easy one. I truly loved the story of Michael and Yolanda. There was a lot of moments that were sweet, and some that put on the emotion. I loved reading and watching them grow as characters as well with one another. It was such a beautiful read! Loved it!
If you have not checked out this gifted author or other books in this series, I highly say that you do. This is not one to be passed up by any means. And this book alone is a must read! Highly reccomend!
Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 4) by Nicole Flockton. I love this series and this addition about second chance love is just as great! Its the story of Yolanda and Michael. Yulonda is originally from Bunya Junction and when she and Michael got together she couldn't get away fast enough. Now that is life is falling apart she takes her daughter and runs right back. She has left Michael and she feels like her whole world is falling apart. When Michael, a great Chef at a hardcore restaurant finds out Yolanda has left him he doesn't know what to do. Deciding that nothing is more important than his family he packs his bags and moves back to Bunya Junction as well. He thinks if he can prove to Yolanda that he's in it 100% then she will come back. When his past threatens to tear it all apart again Michael isn't sure he did the right thing. This story shows how hard marriages are and that to make a successful one you both have to want it and really work for it. Read this heart warming contemporary romance!
This was an emotional 5 star read. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. This was a great ending to this series.
After a conversation with her husband Michael, Yolanda has decided to return to her hometown with her daughter for a break. Michael follows Yolanda, determined to work things out and get his family back where they belong. I do have to say that I had a love/hate relationship with these two. I had moments where I wanted to shake them. We also find that they both have secrets, what will happen when they come out? Can they make their marriage work?
Overall this was a great read. This story hits on several things that affect marriages everyday and shows just how difficult things can be. It was great seeing characters from the other books. This can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading from book one so you can meet the rest of the family. The author has done a great job with her writing and I look forward to reading more from her. Kudos on a great ending to this series. 1-click and get started today.
Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton This story starts with Yolanda and she's going to head back home to her relatives. Her spouse Michael is acting weird and not over her losing the baby. They do have a young child at home and Yolanda is able to run her business with videos that she produces. He's now a cook at the prestigious restaurant and he spends a lot of time there. She also thinks she may be expecting again and he wants no more kids because he's afraid to lose her. Her family welcomes her in even giving her a light job to do at the bar. Michael heads to see her and the family There is so much for Michael to do even after getting a job at the family place but he loves organizing and running the whole kitchen and he’s very good at it. The family as a whole has lots of decisions to make. There are many who don't like telling their secrets but it’s key here... Very emotional story and glad I stuck with it til the end. Love hearing about her business, his work and travel through the country.
This book started out unlike a typical romance. In this story, the couple, Yolanda and Michael, are already married. When they can’t resolve an issue, Yolanda decides to leave Michael and go back home to Bunya Junction. Michael vows to get his wife back and will do anything, even return to the town where nobody liked him. But there is more; Yolanda and Michael are both keeping secrets. Big secrets that could put an even bigger wedge in their relationship. If they are going to reunite, they will need to need to overcome these issues too.
This book is filled with emotional scenes as Yolanda and Michael remember the reasons why they were so good together and why they should remain married. It filled my heart with joy when they finally got back together. If the ‘Welcome to Bunya Junction’ series is going to end, I am glad it ended like this. I couldn’t have asked for a better finale.
This book centers around Yolanda and Michael both who grew up in Bunya Junction. Her with a family that looks out for each other and him and not so great family. This book is different in that Yolanda and Michael are already married but are having problems. Yolanda decides to go home and take their daughter with her hoping to find answers and figure out what to do next. When Michael loses his job as a chef, he goes back to Bunya Junction to try and work things out. He doesn't tell Yolanda he has no job because he feels like a failure and not good enough for her. Both seem to have a hard time talking and telling the other how they feel and what's going on. There's miscommunication, feelings getting hurt and it gets emotional watching them reconnect and find love again being surrounded by family and learning that they never really stopped loving each other. Also, it was a great way to end the series seeing how the rest of the family was and what they were all up to.
How I love this series so much.....and this 4th book is no exception! The story of Yolanda and Michael pick up at the end of book 3. I highly highly recommend reading this series in order as the the characters continue in each of the books.
The love that Yolanda and Michael have....really made my heart happy but yet misunderstandings, sadness and fear get in the way of their marriage. When Yolanda decides to take a break and re-evaluate the marriage, she decides to return home back to Bunya Junction. Michael gives her a little space but decides to go and fight for his marriage and back to Bunya Junction as well. With the roller coaster of marriage of fears, misunderstandings and loss, will Yolanda and Michael find their way back to each other? Definitely read to find out.
I also love the fact that the characters continue within each book and you really get to know the family. I just loved this series and I highly recommend reading these books. They are fabulous.
5 Stars Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 4) by Nicole Flockton
Reunion in the Outback is the fourth book the Welcome to Bunya Junction Series. This is a Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I’ve been patiently waiting for this book and it didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend reading this series in order, as it will give you a better understanding of what is going on and you get to know the characters. I’m a huge fan of this author but this one is definitely my favorite yet. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I was very eager to discover what was going to happen next. This is about Yolanda and Michael and their daughter. . There is heartbreaking moments and plenty of secrets. What will happens when they come out? Can these two repair their marriage and relationship? I highly recommend reading 4 this to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.
5 stars all the way and I would give more if I could! The author has creatively formed a wonderful community in this series and Bunya Junction is somewhere I'd love to be! This 4th books sees Yolanda and Michael go through some very difficult times in their marriage. Yolanda returns home to Bunya Junction needing some space to try and sort out if her marriage is really going to make it. Very soon after, her husband Michael also returns determined to prove to her that their marriage is everything and he wants his wife back! Communication or lack there of, is definitely a topic of the book and at times I swear I wanted to reach into the book and "Gibbs" slap them both! I kept saying "just tell him" or "damn it tell her!!". Now the fact the author had me talking to her fictional characters so passionately, as if I was right there with them, is proof to me of her amazing writing talent and the quality of her writing.
Reunion in the Outback is the fourth book in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series. I have read the entire series of the Carruther's siblings journey of love and I have enjoyed them all. This book focuses on the youngest, Yolanda, who runs home to Bunya Junction leaving her husband, Michael. Michael, shocked of his wife leaving and taking their young daughter, determines to fight for what he loves most, his family, so he returns to his small home town, one he ran from years previously with Yolanda. I love how this book focuses on not a new love, but rather a long term love that has weathered storms that the other books were not able to focus on. Family, careers, life and death situations all come into focus on Yolanda and Michael fighting to fall back into love with each other and realize that they are soulmates. Not only do I recommend this book, but the entire series. All are super fast reads that will leave you happy.
