Swoop around with Mothman Baby over the course of a delightfully paranormal evening in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, 1967.
Mothman Baby! is jam-packed with fun period details and characters celebrating the area's famous flap of Mothman and UFO sightings in the 1960s, with appearances by the Men in Black, grey aliens, and mysterious lights in the sky.
Young readers and pre-readers will discover the details of this non-threatening supernatural world alongside their Mothman Baby avatar, as every spread features a flap revealing a fun, unexpected character or surprise.
Oooh, yeah!! Mothman Randy Savage is gonna eat that… Okay. Okay. Okay. Wrong place for that.
Mothman is one of the most underrated cryptids. He’s out here loving the lamps of the night and people just walk right on by. Poor little guy. He’s one of my favorites and I needed this book for my collection when I saw it.
Mothman Baby was so super cute. The men in black are trying to catch this little guy, he saves a toad, and parties it up with aliens. The flaps were a lot of fun. This series is a must have for all cryptid lovers.
Not since the writings of Theodore John Kaczynki have I been moved so much by a work of environmental writing. All while still being a gripping tale about the true power of friendship. Baby Mothman and his pals Owl and Crane make clear the truth of what we are doing to our environment and how we must change. 10/10 read, thank you Gabbert
I was going to say this is for those who feel the urge to introduce their babies to the monsters of the world, but obviously it's more important than that. And that's vital, for beyond getting them used to having a book in their hand I can't see the logic of this volume at all. The mothman saves a toad, yes, but he still isn't exactly the cutest thing out, and this seems to be for adults just as much as it is toddlers – how many young 'uns in this target audience know about the Men in Black, fer cryin' out loud? A "my first aliens" book this might be, and fun with the pull-down flaps might be had, but I don't see the sense in rushing to get this on the shelf, when the intended audience just aren't ready for such spooky things.

Another sweet bedtime board book from Hazy Dell Press. In this one, join Mothman Baby as he swoops through West Virginia, visiting friends and doing good deeds.
Adorable illustrations. Rhythmic, rhyming text. And a paranormal nighttime journey.
The book features 6 chunky flaps to open to reveal strange happenings around town.
Cryptid board book! Not only is this adorable, it is full of all the geekiness one could want. This, and other books in the series, strikes a nice balance of heartwarming, simple sentences and beautifully cute illustrations. The rhyme and flaps are bonuses to help engage babies further. Whether one on one, or at a babytime, this will be a favourite for many.
Punny, not only about the mothman but also about the men in black. If this is what the mothman looks like, please, haunt me. I promise belly scratches and treats.
This is possibly the cutest, funniest, lift-the-flap book I've ever seen. Fellow lovers of cryptid creatures young and old will adore Mothman Baby! I'm certainly looking forward to sharing this adorable take on the Mothman legend with friends and customers alike.
Thank god someone was asked to illustrate a children's book and actually thought of the goth kids out there - the children of cryptid-obsessed weirdos, unexplained-events hunters, and true-crime junkies. Of me! This was cute!
***I received a digital copy from the publisher through Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.***
Endearing children's picture book, taking a potentially frightening subject (West Virginia's Mothman legend) and inverting it to a fun and joyful viewpoint.
This is my one year old's favorite book, we've read it hundreds of times at this point. The art is absolutely adorable and I love the little Mothman-lore Easter eggs.
