OHKUBO Atsushi

Atsushi Ōkubo ( 大久保篤), also romanized as Atsushi Ohkubo, is a Japanese manga author and fantasy artist known for his work on the manga series Soul Eater, which has been adapted into an anime. Okubo worked as an assistant under Rando Ayamine, on the manga series Get Backers. He also created artwork for various cards for the Lord of Vermillion game.

Atsushi Ōkubo was not a model student and was more attracted to drawing than to learning. At the age of 20, after finishing studies at a manga school where he met Rando Ayamine, the author of Get Backers, he became Rando Ayamine's assistant for two years. Finally, he won a competition at Square Enix's Gangan magazine with his first manga series B.Ichi and it was published for four volumes. After the end of his last manga, he created Soul Eater, still for Square Enix's Gangan magazine, which brought him worldwide success.

3/5 Stars (%63/100)

It was good but not as good as the previous ones in my opinion. There were things to be explained and I don't know if it was done well. The only thing I remember and liked about this volume is the ending which is the start of a great arc regarding Asakusa and Benimaru. There were some parts I liked but there are some serious problems with pacing and explanations. I hope, after all of these volumes, that the ending is good and the author doesn't ruin everything for the sake plot twists.

Sam początek 25 tomu to duża dawka ekscytujących wrażeń.

Hmm...

It feels like a lot of things happened here but not much sense going around. Not a bad volume, i liked it, but kinda rushed and a couple things happened that i didn't like.

Right in the middle of the volume the story slowed down with a lot of explanation that was needed (because of what happened in the previos on volume 224 and the first chapter of this one) that i didn't care about it. But the last chapter picked up and left a cliffhanger that promises a huge showdown in the next volume.

Overall, not bad but, this was a weak volume.

Kurono is now one of my favorite Characters I just love his aesthetics and even his personality is growing on me. Also since this is a Soul Eater prequel are these signs that he is supposed to become Death. Also I do like that when Shira goes back in time what looks like Normal people looks strange an alien to him showing what effect the Cataclysm has and how the world is changing because of these pillars is a nice way to up the tension as we are rapidly learning more about the Adolla, the doppelgangers, and even what the Cataclysm is.

I'm finding with Fire Force, as with a lot of manga series, that a lot of the books up until this moment have been filled with filler content. I know a lot of this is to make you love the characters and develop a kinship with them, but I feel like in a world that is becoming as complex as the Fire Force universe, some of these volumes could have been used to lend more to the storyline. It's good, I just find a lot is happening at once.

So......is Adolla created by rumor and imagination?

Shinra looked so funny!!

Are those with Adolla Links seeing the future by seeing their past? What is going on with Haumea....?
