I’m a single female that’s tired of relationships ruining my life. However, there are times when a date would be helpful. If you’re a single man, preferably mid-twenties to late-thirties, and are in a similar situation, we might be a match.
Candidate must be handsome, charming, and willing to pretend to have feelings for me (on a sliding scale, as the event requires). Ability to discuss a wide variety of topics is a plus. Must have your own transportation and a (legal) job.
This will be a symbiotic agreement. In exchange for your time, I will give you mine. Need someone to flirt with you at a football party? Go, team! Want a woman to make you look good in front of your boss? Let me find my heels. Would you love for someone to be obsessed with you in front of your ex? I’m applying my red lipstick now.

USA Today Bestselling author, Adriana Locke, writes contemporary romances about the two things she knows best—big families and small towns. Her stories are about ordinary people finding extraordinary love with the perfect combination of heart, heat, and humor.
She loves connecting with readers, fall weather, football, reading alpha heroes, everything pumpkin, and pretending to garden.
Hailing from a tiny town in the Midwest, Adriana spends her free time with her high school sweetheart (who she married over twenty-five years ago) and their four sons (who truly are her best work). Her kitchen may be a perpetual disaster, and if all else fails, there is always pizza.
I have heart eyes. For real. I love Flirt by Adriana Locke so freaking much. I cannot even tell you how much. The swoon level of this story is ridiculously high. The chemistry is sweet and spicy and impossibly perfect. Moss and Brooke will put a smile in your face even if you are having the worst day. Think about every happy, adorable and cute things and then multiply them by few hundred..and you will have Flirt. You need this fake relationship, friends to lovers, workplace related and small town romance in your life. Because who doesn't need some sunshine, rainbow and unicorn glitter in their life?
Brooke has always tried to live upto her mother's unnatural expectations but she failed. Specially after her divorce. So she found her dream job as an interior designer in Laguna Homes owned by the Carmichaels. But she has to attend the eighty fifth birthday party of her beloved grandmother and she cannot go alone. She planned an ad for boyfriend for hire as a joke but she posted it for real in social media. One thing leads to another and some cunning family meddling resulted in her co worker aka best friend Moss Carmichael to be her fake boyfriend. Moss is in deep with her but his past stops him from going all in and Brooke won't settle for anything less than everything.
Adriana Locke creates the most magical families those make me want to leave mine and live with them. Can the Carmichaels adopt me? Pretty please? They are this big , loving, crazy, hilarious, loyal and strong group. And I already love all of them. Moss is just perfect. Every way. Sex appeal. Sense of humor. Alpha qualities. Caring. Patient. Protective. Just too good to be true. And it's hard to imagine this wickedly charming man having so much hidden heartbreak. I wanted to give him big hug and then slap at back of his head to make him wake up and not to let his past take away the most amazing thing in his life. Well his brothers did the job. Brooke has emotional damages too. She is brilliant, witty, hard working, proud and so fierce. It's so so sad that her own "family, and I use that very loosely, doesn't see her value. I cheered up hard when Moss showed them who is the boss. This was a pretty slow burn and oh wow I am here for all the chemistry. They have sweet friendship from the beginning and it slowly evolved into something deep and beautiful. It was all over swoony with right dose of angst. And you just cannot miss it!
This is hands down my favorite book of Addys. Move over Written In The Scars (yes. I'm serous.) Because this motherfucking book is about to come at you and you'll have no choice but to let it consume you. This is just EVERYTHING: it's hilarious, steamy, light yet so utterly heartbreaking at the same time, has the funniest brotherly antics, and my God the banter is just *chefs kiss*. Move this to the very top of your must read list because Moss and Brooke are going to own your heart!!
I love this book so much that I'm not even going to tell you anything about the plot. Nope, you have to go in blind and just fall for all the epic-ness that Addy has created. This is a fake relationship romance, and that is usually enough to be my catnip, but this is so much more than that. This book is just so beautifully vulnerable and amazing that I could literally talk about it all day. That's how much I love this couple! Buuut you're just going to have to experience them for yourself. *winks*
I so cannot wait for the rest of this series! These brothers are fantastic and I just know I'm going to fall in love with them all!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions **
This book was so much fun to write! Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes—there are so many opportunities for things to get steamy and tease. *winks* I'm also a huge lover of office romances and, while these two characters don't work in an actual office, they do collaborate on projects. :) Moss's protector vibes really worked for me and I hope it works for you too!
Flirt by Adriana Locke was a fun and feel good romance with just enough emotion and heart. Brooke and Moss work together but they’re also friends. When Brooke needs a date/boyfriend for a family event (her family is complicated) Moss gets set up with her by his family.
Let me talk about his family for a second. I’m going to need to read more of these Carmichael books because these brothers were hilarious and I loved Moss’s parents as well. Brooke and Moss’s story was workplace friends to lovers/fake dating that turned real fast. I had so much fun reading and it left me with a big smile on my face!

Flirt is a light and sweet romance that kept a smile on my face the entire time I was reading it. I've said it before and I'll probably say it a lot more but Adriana Locke really knows how to write intriguing families and the Carmichaels may end up being a favorite. Their banter with one another and seeing some of the pranks the brothers pull on each other was so fun to read about. They were written in a way that made me feel like I was a part of them and I loved that. I especially loved how they welcomed Brooke into their lives and seeing her and Moss together.
The chemistry between Brooke and Moss was amazing and evident on every page. I loved them as friends and then getting to see that friendship turn into something more made me like them even more. I really enjoyed watching their relationship play out. Moss brought out a lighter more fun side to Brooke and I thought that was amazing. It definitely showed how perfect they were for each other. ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoy Adriana Locke’s style of writing, her characters are always engaging and she has a way of story telling that draws you in and quickly gets you invested. When I read the premise for this story I couldn’t wait to dive in. Flirt was an entertaining, at times laugh out loud workplace, friends to lovers story that ticked the boxes for me. Brooke and Moss are co workers who agree to a fake relationship to help one another out. After attending a family event, a path is set in motion with results that neither of them expected. What happens when fake starts to become real? The narration by Lance Greenfield and CJ Bloom was great. They really brought the characters to life for me with their performances and certainly did justice to the story that Ms.Locke wove. Will they risk their friendship and cross the line from friends to lovers? I loved the journey that they travelled as their relationship blossomed. Flirty was a well written, romantic, witty and heart warming story that ticked the boxes for me.
Woo hoo!! A brand new series from one of my favorite romance queens! Meet the Carmichael family who work together in their home restoration business, Laguna Homes in Kismet Beach, FL. We have six siblings (five hunky, alpha guys) and parents Kix and Damaris, who are still madly in love. And wait until you meet these guys! They’re hilarious pranksters and as unruly a box of puppies.
Brooke Bailey works for Laguna Homes as the head designer. She works closely with Moss Carmichael, and they have a lot in common. Especially the fact that they’re both extremely relationship averse. But when Moss finds out, through a little well-meaning family interference, that Brooke needs a fake boyfriend, he volunteers for the job. Which is all well and good for these two great friends, until the line between fake and real gets blurred.
Holy wow, y'all, I love this one so much! The Carmichaels are the family we all wish for and hopefully some of us have and cherish, and these brothers are hysterically funny but surprisingly touching. Brooke and Moss are amazing together and red H O T! I need more – gimme! Funny, sweet, and so much fun, this phenomenal friends-to-lovers romance will give you an epic reading escape and make your romantic heart ecstatically happy.
AL’s back again kicking off her newest family series(the Carmichaels) with Flirt & we get officially acquainted with all of Paige’s(Sweet’s heroine) brothers —
— err, almost all of them. The eldest, Foxx(no, the double x is not a typo 🤦🏻♀️) barely made a blip of an appearance. —. Flirt shows off once more how family series truly are her bread & butter as a romance author. Collectively the Carmichael brothers' attribute of being a handful seems more generously shared than previous AL family series…although some(Banks & Maddox) still more than others within the Carmichaels 😂.
I digress. Flirt’s focus is Moss & Brooke’s romance finding their way through co-workers/friends to unexpected fake dating to lovers. Their romance ticks a lot of boxes with banter/humor, chemistry, the likability of both the h & H as well as supporting characters (his family, her bestie — she seems fun, definitely wouldn’t be opposed to one of Moss’s brothers falling for her —, her grandma), getting acquainted with the new locale of Kismet Beach, fun sexy times, brothers’ shenanigans, etc.
Oh! on the flipside — wtf with the rando penguin texts? 🐧 Am I being dense? Did I miss the explanation? If I did, would someone please tell me? Who’s sending them?! 🤨🤦🏻♀️😂
Also — didn’t love the certifiably toxic fam Brooke had the misfortune of being born into(minus her gram) or her douche canoe of an ex hub, but thankfully they weren’t given a chance to ‘chew the scenery’ too much & were limitedly used. I also would’ve liked a little more backbone out of Brooke confronting one of her family members. The details of Moss’s past were a smidge thin too.
BUT all in all, it was an entertaining start to meeting the Carmichaels. Maddox is up next with Fling. Tbh Maddox & Banks(the two youngest) particularly are such boyish pranksters, it’s a little hard to imagine either in a mature relationship atm, but I’m game to see what AL comes up with.
If you think the Mason's, the Gibon's and Landry men stole your heart just hold one and make way for the Carmichael men. Flirt is one of those reads that you are going to fall hard for. This book right here will make you laugh out loud, put a big old smile on your face with every Carmichael brotherly antics that goes on and will make your heart go pitter patter for Moss. I am so in love with this book. I am so in love with the entire Carmichael family. We've met Paige in Sweet now it is her brother Moss's turn. Moss will make you swoon with his ways. He has his reasons he doesn't do relationships. You will find out and your heart will just ache for him a little don't worry because he gives really good swoon moments that you are going to just love. Brooke is so strong, sweet and is in need of a fake boyfriend. I love how things turn out for her. Leave it to the Carmichaels to all play a little part in pushing Moss and Brooke together. What can I say about Moss and Brooke, well their chemistry is off the charts and they make perfect sense together. I love them so much. I love how the Carmichaels make Brooke feel part of their family when hers mostly all just are........... ........I'll let you finish that sentence for me once you read this. You know you are going to read this book. If it is by Adriana Locke I'm one clicking right away just because I know what feelings are going to come out of it. This gives you everything you want when it comes to Brooke and Moss. You will love the dynamics and just everything about the brothers plus Brooke. I cannot wait for more of the Carmichael family. I need the next book Fling right now. Moss and Brooke are everything you want and more. Go and start to fall in love with the Carmichael family today. One click this one now.
In the start of a new series, we meet the Carmichael brothers. I have to say, right now, that they are probably my favorite group of brothers. I have never laughed so hard at their interaction and texts!
This story starts out with Brooke. She needs to go to her grandmother's birthday party. The problem? Her family, especially her impossible to please mother, will be there. Since she's divorced, she thinks about placing an ad on a social media site looking for a fake boyfriend. It accidently gets sent and all bets are off!
Brooke works with Moss Carmichael, who she's been secretly lusting over for years. She has friend-zoned him, and all is well in their worlds. They both like to play the field and not get serious. They decide to fake date to help each other out (as well as Moss playing a prank on a couple of his brothers).
Over time Brooke realizes that "Moss is a big flirt most of the time. He's funny and engaging and light-hearted. Even a little goofy. But it's times like these when I remember how much more he is".
These are two broken people (in different ways.) I can really relate to Brooke, because my mother was a lot like hers. It's hard to try to please someone, who just can't be pleased or happy for you. In the end, you have to make your own life and your own friends and family and live YOUR best life.
Of course, there fantastic chemistry, great side characters, steamy scenes and most important love.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again ( especially for those in the back) No one writes a family like Adriana Locke! I have read them all and I always go into a new series thinking how could I like them like I do the last and OMG did she come out swinging with the Carmichaels! I am in love not only with the story of Brooke and Moss who are freaking wonderful by the way. But I am already eagerly awaiting the next book in the series to get more from all the crazy Carmichael boys
This is my first book review in forever, I don't even know if I remember how to do it, there might be a huge amount of spoilers, it's ultimately just my thoughts on this INCREDIBLE READ!
It was refreshing how well they communicated, there were many ins for a miscommunication trope but the easy way out was never taken so that made me EXTREMELY happy. The honesty and trust they shared felt so natural and precious, amazing writing!
Damaris and Kix are the bestest, and I loved the little Foxx crumbs we got, he seems all serious and everything but with a sense of humour too, how dangerous ;)
I loved seeing Moss hang out with his brothers and them being there for one another. And Jovie always having Brooke's back, I'm glad we got to see those dynamics, it helped to understand how they were separately and pine to see how they are together.
I love The Shenanigans and I can't wait to see more of it, will completely lobby for a novella of only them being rascalls to each other when the time is right. Also, dying to know who's shoulder it was on the picture Madx and Banx sent to Brooke, just cause..
Banks is such a riot! I would kill to see him and Lincoln interact, feels like he'd be the one to make Linc taste his own medicine and avenge everyone else. My fanfictious brain is already imagining Banks getting one over Linc and everyone dying of laughter.
I was appalled by Brooke's mother, truly hearbreaking, in the readers facebook group is possible for us to see how amazing a mother Adriana Locke is, and to see her write like that as a mother must have been super heartbreaking and taken so much skill. I commend her.
Also, very glad she chose to portray Aria as as nice of a person as Brooke and forego the stupid female rivalry bit that their mothers so sadly hold on to. Such classy writing!
Another thing I loved so much: when Brooke heard all of those things from her mother, of course she was affected by it, but she didn't let it rule her life, she didn't fall for the manipulative words and stood her ground when she thought Moss wouldn't be able to give her what she needed, even if she was a little hasty (which she so maturely realized and apologized for) she not once thought her mother was right about her and that solidified all the character development she's been having BEAUTIFULLY. Once again it could've been easier to capitalize on that drama and her feelings of self pitty and insecurity but Mrs. Locke chose a far more authentic avenue, it was the opposite of a cliche in my humble opinion.
Finally, I love how Moss and Brooke weren't established as BFFs at first, they were regular friends with so much respect and fondess for each other, keeping their distance due to the unmentionable sexual tension but still longing to be in each others lives and to see each other happy.
This one is most definitely my definition of RELATIONSHIP GOALS!

FLIRT made my heart all gooey and squishy-all the butterflies, all the swoony feelings, all the happy- this just made my heart so full. One of Adriana Locke’s best- I simply adored this darling, feel good charmer from an author that always delivers on stories both steamy and dreamy.
The witty blurb sets the perfect stage for our story- with Brooke creating a cheeky boyfriend for hire ad that ends up finding its way on social media. And thanks to some sneaky family meddling, she finds herself with a fake boyfriend that she already knows - her best friend and co-worker Moss. Feelings simmer, baggage is confronted, and soon this situation gets quite interesting.
These two are just ADORABLE. Like I can’t even with their cuteness. Moss is the quintessential swoony Adriana Locke book boyfriend- charming, sexy, witty, clever, caring and a bit protective. He’s got some past baggage that has him hesitating, but you can help but fall head over heels. Brooke too has her own baggage- thus her decision to avoid relationships and instead just leverage a fake relationship to meet all her public boyfriend needs. She’s stoic and kind, clever and funny. Her relationship with Moss is so dynamic and sweet- I loved how they showed up for each other, how they started to grapple with their undeniable connection. Their chemistry wraps you up like a big hug, but it’s also got plenty of sizzle, even if the burn is on the slower side. But I love a friends to lovers dynamic, watching people who already share a real emotional intimacy as friends figure out how to evolve their relationship into something romantic.
And, as always, we have a great secondary cast to keep us entertained and to give the right push when needed- and these two definitely needed that push. The Carmichaels are so lovable, I hope to spend pages and pages with them. A great addition to this already delightful story, and the perfect use of a secondary cast to keep the plot moving.
Really loved this sweet and swoony story- can’t wait for more from this series!
If there is one thing I know for certain is that when you pick up Adriana Locke work you know you're into for a great way of spending your evening.
Moss and Brooke were such a great couple to fall for. Their banter was hilarious and I absolutely love his family. They were all a bit crazy but had their hearts in the right place. They played a huge part in their relationship which only added to the greatness to this story. I even liked the drama that was Moss's past. I don't even want to start with Brooke's mother, if we can call her that. The confrontation between them was so painful to read and I don't think I've ever been more happy when someone stepped up and put the evil person in its place. If you don't fall for Moss before this scene, you definitely will after reading that part.
Now I'm ready to see what happens with the next Carmichael brother to get hit by the big L-O-V-E!!!

There was something about the beginning of this book that didn’t initially hook me. It was taking almost 100 pages to build up the story of why they’re getting themselves into this fake dating situation… but instead of it being filled with a lot of interactions between the two of them to get you really excited, it was instead filled with a lot of extra information to build up the individual lives of these two characters as well as give us a lot of context for some side characters that will probably be getting their own books in the future…. and unfortunately it was just boring me so much to the point that I put it down twice over the course of a day and a half to literally take two separate naps…. which is always a mental warning from my brain that it’s probably not gonna work out… and that I should DNF… so I’m listening to my brain on this one and stopping myself here.
Flirt, when I first read the blurb for this one, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Moss and Brooke. Adriana has quite the knack for writing characters that I can't help but fall in love with. They are real, have faults and I become engulfed in their world through her words. Let's get to it, Brooke and Moss are co-workers for Moss's parent's company. Moss is a builder and Brooke is the designer. Neither one wants a "real" relationship, but they could use a situation-ship. You know that person that can be your plus one for the awkward family reunions, wedding date, award bash plus one. So, a deal is made, and their fate is sealed! Watch out this couple is sweet, funny, have such a palpable sexual energy and I fell in love with their playful witty sarcastic banter! They also have a great supporting cast that will keep you thoroughly entertained. What happens when the fake begins to become oh so real? Get ready to flirt with the idea of a real relationship with this crazy couple. ~~Michele McMullen ~~
You know what? I almost forgot that this was a fake relationship romance, because this couple is basically already in love when the book begins. It's a light and sexy small town romance with chemistry that's apparent from the first scene, great family dynamics, and plenty of banter to keep things interesting. I loved the easiness of the relationship, and there are some seriously swoony moments. However, I kinda felt like I missed the "falling in love" stage of the story - they're already there. This non-couple has known for the last couple of years that they'd be an excellent match, but they're both commitment-phobic and have been ignoring the obvious. It doesn't take much to push them into acknowledging their feelings, which has its pros and cons. Pro? Their connection runs deep, and they're clearly perfect for each other. Con? They've both been dating other people while harboring these feelings, which rubbed me the wrong way. All in all, it's a strong series starter, and I'm absolutely looking forward to reading more about the Carmichaels.
The story follows Brooke, an interior designer who needs a date to a family party. Her overbearing mother will be there, as will her ex-husband... who is now dating her aunt. Obviously, it's the kind of hot mess of a situation that requires some moral support. Though Brooke wonders if she should find a fake date to the event via social media, she knows there's one guy who would be the perfect fake boyfriend - her infuriating flirt of a co-worker, Moss. He's the kind of guy who always has women chasing after him, and he's become a good friend since Brooke's divorce. Neither of them ever dates seriously, so nothing real could come out of the situation, but it would certainly be a test of their friendship. And as Moss and Brooke fall into a relationship, it doesn't feel fake at all.
This book has the difficult task of introducing a LARGE, very involved, family AND developing a standalone romance, and it does a pretty good job with both. We spend a LOT of time with the Carmichaels, and there were times when I wanted to get back to the love story, but I'm also really intrigued by Moss's brothers. It definitely succeeded in getting me interested in the series, which already feels stronger than the Masons. It felt like Brooke and Moss were short-changed a bit, but their relationship accelerates so quickly that they didn't miss a beat. I really loved their banter, and the obvious depth of their feelings made the insta-relationship palatable. Moss is super sweet and just the right amount of possessive, which upped the swoon factor. I do think their conflict came out of left field, but I appreciated that the book remains relatively low angst and easy throughout - a true small town romance with a strong community vibe.
Step over Landrys, there's a new hot Locke family around. The Carmichaels may have what it takes to dethrone Lincoln and the entire Landry family for top spot among Locke lovers, and I'd definitely agree with it.
Moss, the first Carmichael brother we get to meet, is equal parts charming, hot, kind, and amazing. Brooke is his match in every regard, and the chemistry between them jumps off every page.
This book about two friends who agree to a situation-ship, then turn from friends and co-workers to lovers is a must read, can't put down novel that will leave you craving more of the Carmichaels immediately.
This book was just awesome. I'm not really surprised since Adriana writes such great books but I spent hours searching through GoodReads looking for the book to read next. One clicked half a dozen, looked over the ones I had already one clicked and not gotten around to, then I got the email for the release of this and raced off to grab this only to find it was part of the KU library.
And once I started reading it I was in love with Moss and Brook. And the rest of that beautiful family. So much so that I am heading off to preorder the next one right now.
Looking for a fun, easy, and lighthearted read with a little emotional drama and some steamy moments mixed in?! If you answered yes then you better grab this new book by Adriana Locke.
Wow I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. I mean the premise was fun but if you know Adriana's books you know she always has those very emotional moments mixed into them and this one definitely has a few. So buckle up get ready to dive into this new world of the Carmichael's.
I loved the witty banter and the chemistry of Moss and Brooke. These two are so fun to read and boy do you get some seriously spicy moments with these two. Honestly this whole family of the Carmichael's was so much fun. I absolutely loved the dynamic of this whole group. The brothers are hilarious and the interactions between them all was such a light and fun lol moments.
If you want something that is full of laughs and has a few dramatic moments for the main characters then make sure you grab this book. I just love that even though this is a more lighter book it still delves into the the seriousness of a loving relationship and how communication is a huge key to finding that balance. All I can say is this book was such a fun read and I feel like these Carmichael's are going to be an amazing addition to the other families that Adriana has brought us before. I might even dare I say be a little more in love with these characters this time around.
I voluntarily signed up for an ARC with nothing to gain other than giving my honest review. So if your looking for a fun lol book this is a definite one click that will have you wanting more of this crazy fun family. I'm so excited for more of them and can't wait to see these crazy brothers in action once again.
If you love families that are into each and everyone’s business you will love the Carmichael’s. Flirt is a read that will have you falling hard and fast as you get to know Moss and Brooke. Moss and Brooke are co workers but when she needs a fake relationship for a family event it’s Moss who steps up for the challenge, what he didn’t realise was her family are nothing like his…. For a man who doesn’t do relationships he sure knows how to treat a woman and make you swoon and it’s not long before the Carmichael’s welcome Brooke into their family and that means pushing this couple into a real relationship. I loved this couple, I adored the strong, sweet Brooke and I fell hard and fast for Moss but it was the rest of the Carmichael’s that took this story to another level with their brotherly antics that had me laughing out loud. I smiled a lot durning this read but my heart also broke as we found out why Moss does not do relationships well not until Brooke and his meddling family convince him otherwise. Looking forward to what’s coming next from this wonderful, loving family.
There are times when I ask myself why I read Adriana Locke’s books! I’m exhausted because I have no choice but to read to the end knowing that I will be put through an emotional ringer! Brooke and Moss are two very scared people that are perfect for each other and try their hardest to deny it. This book will have you cracking up at the antics of the Carmichael brothers, crying for the horrible way Brookes family behaves and treats her and for the loss Moss has suffered. You will love Jovie and her support for Brooke and laugh at their conversations. You will be touched by the unconditional love Kix and Daramis Carmichael give not only their children but how they extend that love to Brooke even before Brooke and Miss are a thing. All I can say is bring on the next book and don’t pick it up until you can survive the roller coaster of emotions it’s sure to contain!
Just when you think Adriana Locke could not possibly top her previous family series - she does it again and introduces her reader to the Carmichael family. Not only does she give us brotherly love and laugh out loud antics, but also mixes in a love story with so much tenderness and emotion. Moss and Brooke start out as co-workers and devise a plan to become a fake relationship to help Brooke attend a family(and I use that term sparingly) function, but once the ball is rolling true feelings are brought into the forefront. Each and every step they take together will melt your heart and prove once again that Adriana Locke is a master storyteller. I cannot wait to see the next brother find his HEA.
I had such a good time listening to this book, that I honestly didn't wanted it to end!
Brooke and Moss have a great relationship as friends and coworkers, and they complement each other in a way that everyone could see how good they would be as if they were really together as a couple, so they make it happen! (I still don't know how I feel about his name though 😂)
I loved the playfulness between the two of them and also all the shenanigans between Moss and his brothers! I really hope to see a book for each one of them! His family is a great addiction to the book and they're all amazing!
On Brooke's side though, I can't even start to say how much I hated her family (except for her granny... Honey was incredible)!! Her aunt was a real bitch, but her mother? She can root in hell, for all I care! I'm glad that she had a best friend that was the real deal (I hope she ends with one of the brothers, cause she's amazing!)
Back to my sweet couple though... Both of them were against relationships for their own valuable reasons, and when their time was up, I can't really say which one of them broke me the most!
I loved this book! It was funny, entertaining, hot with a swooning worth book boyfriend, and the right amount of feelings!
🎧 About the Audiobook Narration 🎧
Narrated by CJ Bloom and Lance Greenfield. Both were incredible and a perfect fit for Moss and Brooke! I already admire CJ's work, and Lance was a new to me narrator, but I'll be checking up more of him for sure!
That was what I needed! A cute love story with likable characters and a big, loving family in the background.
It was more friends to lovers than fake dating, and that’s maybe for the best. I always thought the whole fake dating concept rather silly (even if I usually end up liking the book anyway). There was not much faking here, these two just needed a little push to get together and their relationship was so sweet! Moss was funny, romantic and hot which is just a perfect mix. I loved Brooke, I loved how she focused on her own happiness and took pride in being happy with or without a boyfriend. That takes some guts!
I didn’t love their drama, but I usually don’t like made up reasons why people who love each other can’t be together, so I’m just happy it was over soon.
Just one question; what’s with the penguins?? Is Sam from Atypical texting Moss?
It is no secret I love a big noisy family. The Carmichaels are the current family on my radar and have kicked this up to ten. Brookes’s family is their own kind of special.
Brooke needs a date for a family event. An idea is formed. You need to read as the one who answers the ad sets out to be the perfect fake boyfriend. So, when a situation presents itself, both take advantage.
The first book in the new series, we have been set up for what looks like a wild ride with this family.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
