Coma (കോമ) - #anwarabdullah
An investigating thriller.
Adv Paul and his juniors were very happy that day as the case they were leading was decided to investigate further upon their findings. Later that day, Paul was found unconscious in his house with head injury and ended up in coma. He was living alone since he separated from his wife and son almost one and half decades ago. His ex wife and her future husband thinks, its not an accident and someone tried to kill Paul. The book then makes the reader also an investigator and trying to unfold the truth. The investigation also involves the case which Paul was leading lastly. Paul’s was an accidental fall or someone did that on purpose? What is the motive? Who was the culprit/culprits? Etc are unraveling without making the reader disappointed.
This is the first Anvar Abdullah novel I read, definitely a good thrilling novel,
even though how harder I tried, didn’t get a clue about the culprit.
The writing style - It was indeed a good one, but I felt it was stretched out too much in 262 pages, could have explained well in less than 200 pages. Also, I discerned, the author was trying to create diversity with lots and lots of words which was repetitive in many places, and was boring at times.
Those who loves crime thrillers, especially investigating thriller will definitely enjoy this novel.
