The beauty of Christmas lies not just in the date, but in the feeling it gives…
She's not the biggest fan of Christmas – which is akin to a major sin in the little town of Snowflake Hollow. And with a name like Holly White, it's fitting that she owns the only B&B in town. The whole season is a huge deal, and the people coming to stay at the B&B are paying a premium to get the ultimate festive experience. She's trying to keep the guests busy, but Hank the Handyman just broke his leg trying to hang the lights. Now she has to figure out how to make the holiday festivities happen all by herself.
Enter Lawson Lane.
Mister green eyes, tall, dark and handsome, has come home to see his mother over the holidays, and is surprised to see Holly as the owner of the B&B. When he notices her struggling to get things done, he offers a helping hand. Seeing Holly again and enjoying the holidays might take a Christmas miracle—or he might end up with a lump of coal in his stocking.
It's 12 days of festive fun, what could possibly go wrong?
Lexy Timms brings you a Christmas holiday romance with 12 days of Christmas – each part of the story releasing like opening an advent calendar! Join in the holiday spirit with a festive read and some laughs to get you into the Christmas season.
The writing was enjoyable but I don’t like that it was a short segment of the story. I probably wouldn’t have read it if I had realized it was a 6 chapter telling of one day. I would have rated it higher if it had been the entire story of the 12 days in one book
Holly hates Christmas and everything to do with it. When she inherits an Air BNB from her grandmother, she tries to make a go with it. With her resistance to Christmas, she finds having an Air BNB with advertisements showing the perfect Christmas getaway, to be more difficult than anticipated. This book has a chance to be a cute Christmas story, but not in the form it’s in, unless this is supposed to be in an advent calendar style. This is more of a short introduction than a full blown story. I like Lexi Timms writing style for the most part, but dislike the way you need to purchase 6 books for one story.
Part one of this book. I didn't realise that when I downloaded it but I really enjoyed reading it and am looking forward to reading the rest of the book.
3.5 ⭐️Really wish this would have been longer! After reading part 1 for free on my kindle, which was only 90 pages long, I went to look for the series and it’s broken up into 12 super short ebooks. I mean, why?! It seems like a really cute, cozy Christmas romance, and I was enjoying getting to know the characters, but I really wish it had been more than just part 1 of 12.
This was an adorable novella! Day 1 for Holly and Lawson. OK, they aren't together yet, but come on, I see it happening. It is going to happen. I loved that we got dual POV, see why Lawson is back, read why Holly started the B&B and how it is going, see the two connect. And more! I loved reading about the B&B and I disliked that people were so harsh, come on, she just started, give her a break. Also that older lady? Maybe a lock on the kitchen would be best before she burns down the house. I really loved the writing style and the characters were very nicely written. I need more of this one!
I bought (probably free) this from a book lisf. I have over 500 Christmas Romance and mystery books. I've read over 1/2 of them so I try not to add to the collection. There was something about the summary that caught me. As I down loaded it to read I saw the length was 85 pages. So I was expecting a short story. Lexy Timms barely got the characters introduced and it was over. What little I saw it might have been good.
Holly ended up taking over her grandmother's bed and breakfast. The town went all out to decorate and celebrate Christmas. Holly, however, was not a big fan of Christmas, but to please her visitors she had to spice things up a little. Relax and see who came to her rescue. It's a nice story, but because it's not the whole package, I gave it a rating of 3.
Well this appears to the first in little novellas but I think I’ll keep reading them because this one was sweet and has a fun story line. A young ladies grandma passed away but had purchased a bed and breakfast in a small little town that went wheels up crazy for Christmas. She had grown up in the town and one of the nerdy kids she went to high school with came back to town too - and had made a reservation at then bed and breakfast … and so it will go from there p
Cute start to what is a series that I didn't actually realize. It's day1 of the twelve days til Christmas so note that you'll need to buy all in the series It's sweet start but not sure I'm going to get all of them. I think if it was one longer book, I'd be invested in Holly and the mmc but at something like 45 pages it wasn't long enough to convince me. The writing is my style that being said and fluid.
Not impressed. For someone who is credited with writing several hundred books, this was disappointing. It's only 80-some pages long and has no real ending. I guess it was just the end of day 1 of the 12 days of Christmas series. Although there isn't excessive swearing, what is present in the book is totally unnecessary. I won't be reading the other 11 books in the series.
This was an ok start to this 12 part story. I was really wishing it had a little more story before it was over. I understand it's a novella, but this felt less than novella. I think if it was kindle unlimited, or a complete series with all 12 parts reasonably priced, I would buy & read through it, but the story was so short I can't say I would pay a separate cost for each part.
Lawson and Holly's first encounter since school is a charming, partly funny, partly touching short story, which I would have liked even more if there weren't so many short sequels. Unfortunately, you have to buy eleven more parts to get the whole story. What a pity. You could even consider it a rip-off...
This is an okay read. It ends quite abruptly but it’s because of the 12 days of Christmas title. It’s more of a pitch to purchase the rest of the days. I say it’s an interesting selling point. Overall I enjoyed the characters of Holly and Lawson.
There’s nothing earth shattering in this book, it’s just a nice beginning to a series where a man-Dawson- has had a crush on Holly for years, and wants to find a way to bring joy to her at Christmas.
I’m invested enough to read on. Let the joy begin!
Great start to the story, Then you get told come back tomorrow I really dislike that. Love the 2 main characters It will be interesting to see how they grow and change.
Thought that this was a bigger book. Turns out it us only part 1 and only like 50 pages. The rest of the book is extra acknowledgements and other books by the aame author. Might continue to other parts in years to come but might not.
Maybe I should have paid better attention to the fact that this is a 12 days of Christmas series. Lol. So far, I am enjoying the Snowflake Hollow series.
Although I knew this was part 1, I thought it was part 1 of a series, not the first few chapters of a book. I felt like it cut off too early to really care about the characters or the story.
