This was a very fun collection of monsters for middle-grade readers and up. While there are tons of monster collections on the shelf, this book actually managed to provide a robust selection that didn't feel redundant or "stretched". With creeps like the Boo-Hag rubbing elbows with Bigfoot, it was a pretty solid rogue's gallery and I think that braver readers are going to enjoy it.

A really wonderful book for any monster obsessed kids. The artwork is amazing and it's full of fascinating myths from all across to world. What a treat!

Načeloma berem dokaj hitro. A tale knjiga je rekorderka - brala sem jo več kot eno leto. Ker to je knjiga, ki jo je treba brati glasno. Ne nujno otrokom - pravzaprav je za otroke le pogojno primerna. Opisi pošasti so namreč zelo živi in veliko zgodb se zaključi s srhljivimi namigi, kaj se lahko zgodi.
"Kako se lahko zaščitite pred Pesanto? Z rešetkami na oknih? Tako, da vgradite alarm? Ne, samo raztrosite semena prosa po spalnici in ob posteljo postavite metlo, kot uči katalonska legenda. To naj bi bilo dovolj.
Lahko noč, torej. Dobro spite, če lahko ..." (Prevod Neža Vilhelm).
Od Bavbava do Jetija, od Lagarfljotskega črva do Parklja, od Zombija do Čupakabre, od Jage Babe do Morilskega smrtonosnega črva. Odlične ilustracije, zgodbe, ki nihajo med zabavnim, bizarnim in grozljivim.
Midva sva se predvsem zabavala.
