Lincoln is floundering. He did something undeniably stupid. On an evening out with his best buddies in Vegas, he hooked up with a smoking hot female for a torrid, all night escapade. It was one of the most carnal experiences of his life, and one he wouldn’t be averse to repeating.
Under most circumstances, a one-night stand wouldn’t be an issue. Except, the woman is his boss and best friend’s sister. If his buddy discovers their tryst, Lincoln is a dead man. Utter disaster. And yet, there was something about that night that makes him want to risk life and limb to hold her, experience her scorchingly addictive surrender again.
As if that isn’t bad enough, after they return home, her ex-boyfriend appears in a bid to win her back, unleashing the territorial beast inside Lincoln. She belongs to him, not some city slicker in a suit.
And he plans to prove to her that she belongs in his bed. That he’s the only one who should be gifted with her seductive surrender.
Now he’s navigating wooing his boss and falling for her. Can he convince Amber to take a chance on him for more than one night?
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Anya grew up listening to Cardinals baseball and reading anything she could get her hands on. She remembers her mother saying if only she would read the right type of books instead binging her way through the romance aisles at the bookstore, she’d have been a doctor. While Anya never did get that doctorate, she graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a M.A. in History.
Anya is a Bestselling and Award-Winning Author published in multiple fiction genres. She also writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance under the name, Maggie Mae Gallagher. A total geek at her core, when she is not writing, she adores attending the latest comic con or spending time with her family. She currently lives in the midwest with her two furry felines.
Being fairly new to Anya Summers books, I thought I would read this one because I love cowboys and seeing a woman as a CEO! The banter back and forth between Lincoln and Amber was fun to read. One hot night together in Vegas but that saying about what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas doesn't always ring true. When her ex shows up, I thought she would send him packing since he broke her heart several years back but nope! And while I don't normally care for love triangles, the characters in this story seem to drag their feet as far as their expectations for a relationship. I mean, Brechen seems like a nice guy who just didn't know what he was doing so I can't really blame him for trying to get Amber back. Don't get me wrong, I loved the story but the hemming and hawing that Lincoln and Amber did about their own relationship kind of frustrated me. Still a great story and still one I will recommend to anyone who asks.
Amber left to go to school and dated while in college. Her college boyfriend Brecken broke her heart but now he is back to win her back. Lincoln has everything against him and he does not think he is good enough for Amber. While in Vegas they have a one night no strings fling. With Brecken back she needs to decide does she want comfortable or does she want passion. I found I liked the characters, maybe not Brecken but that is just me. The story flowed and kept me interested. There was drama and action. I cannot wait for the next book. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Amber and Lincoln engaged in quite a dance as their romance unfolds. The chemistry was spark filled and the banter snappy. The story kept me entertained with an enticing combination of deep emotion, drama, heart, tension, angst and heat. As a whole I thought it was very good if at times frustrating read. I am freely posting a frank review.
Really enjoyed this heart racing and heartwarming adventure. Emotionally thrilling, sexy, exciting and action packed journey filled will witty and engaging charters, fun banter, heart racing twists and thrilling passion.
It was alright. I got tired of her vacillating between the 2 men. I didn't mind the explicit sex. I found it rather titillating, but the dirty talk was a little overboard.
Amber is the CEO of her families ranch. Lincoln is an employee who does the maintenance and upkeep on the buildings and cabins. Oh man! Is there a lot of heat between these two ,but are they going to submit or ignore it? Awesome story.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a story of a couple who’ve been drawn to one another for ages, but they’ve stayed apart not only because of money and class differences, but because Amber is Lincoln’s boss—indeed, she’s the CEO of the dude ranch where they work. But what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…until it doesn’t….
I liked both Amber and Lincoln as characters, and they’re combustible together. Summers has an intriguing idea here of two people who, once they let their barriers down, simply can’t stop being together. The sensual scenes, while repetitive, in How to Rope a Savage Cowboy are off the charts.
Unfortunately, outside of the bedroom, Amber and Lincoln can be exasperating. Amber reconnects with an old boyfriend right before she and Lincoln hook up, and she pulls both men along as she tries to decide what she really wants. On the one hand, I appreciated Amber’s honesty with each man about the other. On the other hand, it was so clear who she was drawn to that you really had to wonder how in touch with her own emotions Amber was.
Lincoln believes that he can’t escape his lower-class roots—even though no one else in the book ever brings that up. Amber’s old boyfriend is mercifully not a jerk, but he’s almost too perfect in his actions and ends up seeming more like a construct.
Finally, the job issues were irksome. Amber is unhappy as a CEO, and her solution is something that I wished would have been more independent. Meanwhile, the reporting-chain issue matters to no one but for some passing references at the start, and in today’s day and age, I wanted that to be resolved overtly.
Summers writes sensual scenes like nobody’s business, and it’s the best part of this book. But there are references to Lincoln being a Dom that aren’t ever acted on, yet at the end it’s assumed on his part that Amber will like that. I wished this had been dropped from the book entirely. Since it never comes into play, having Lincoln assume this type of relationship will just work is a drawback.
So this is middling Summers book for me. There are too many questions about Amber and Lincoln’s actions outside of bed to make up for their intensity between the sheets.
Amber and Lincoln have been striking sparks off of each other for a while, so was curious as to what was smoldering under the surface. When they got to Vegas things heated up and I thought this should be a wild ride. Unfortunately, once they got back to the ranch things for me took a weird turn, when Amber’s ex Brecken was added to the mix.
The angst factor ratcheted up way past what I like in my stories. Several things happened that didn’t make sense then a slip happened and I knew that things would take a predictable path and it did to my dismay.
Lincoln’s lamenting about his poor childhood got old real fast. None of the Andersons ever acted uppity in the stories so his constant reference to him being from the wrong side of the tracks just became a broken record.
Amber became so wishy washy and acted like an emotional tween not able to make a decision about which of the two men she should be with, unlike the tough as nails CEO she was portrayed as.
For me things dragged on for too long with everyone on the fence about making a decision so we weren’t in relationship limbo.
The saving grace was catching up with some of the characters from the previous stories. Have to say was not really bowled over with Amber and Lincoln’s story, their insecurities were like secondary characters and throwing in Brecken just didn’t help matters.

I love the back and forth with Lincoln and Amber. He doesn't feel he is good enough for her, and she thinks he just doesn't like her. Having been an Anderson her life in small town Colorado wasn't easy. The boys were afraid of her family name and she never felt she got the respect of the cowboys on the ranch. So when faced with a choice what is a girl to do. A love triangle, and a bit of competition just might sway the scales. Another great book.

Dnf @49%. She can’t decide between 2 men. She used one guy for sex and can’t get enough of him. Apparently that’s what you called “love”. The other guy she’s just stringing him along.
While this is a series, the fifth book is well-written and reads as a stand-alone. The story mainly focuses on two people, the handyman, Lincoln Sinclair, and the present-day CEO of Silver Springs, Amber Anderson. But then, there is a twist when Brecken Harrison III contacts Amber, that he now lives in Denver and wants to get back together with her.
“She and Brecken had dated starting her junior year of college, and all the way through grad school where she’d earned her MBA in hospitality management.”
Amber moved back to Colorado after graduating and hasn’t dated. She and Brecken broke up—because long-distance relationships don’t work. But, Amber has been in limbo, there is only one man she wants, and all they do is bicker when they are together.
Lincoln Sinclair would be considered trailer trash from the wrong side of the tracks. His father abandoned them when he was a kid, his mother cleaned houses, and he barely stayed out of trouble. A stint in the military helped Lincoln grow up. He found a position with Silver Springs and has worked there for years. He did what he could for his mother, and now, he is putting his sister through medical school. As far as he is concerned, Amber is only a fantasy, not a woman he could ever have.
The story begins with the wedding party heading to Vegas for a dual bachelor/bachelorette fling. In the three years that Amber has been back home, she hasn’t dated, not once, and plans on a one-night stand in Vegas. Lincoln has been watching out for her and not liking how her dance partner puts the moves on and steps in. Lincoln wants her but knows he isn’t good enough, but he won’t sit by and watch another man have her tonight.
“She was in the forbidden, untouchable category for him. It was why he kept his distance. Even when he spied the invitation in her eyes, he knew there was no future there.”
Amber: All I wanted was one night, just one night for myself, where I’m not hounded with responsibilities. Lincoln: Sorry. Didn’t mean to overstep. What can I do to make it right? Amber: One night, no strings attached, just you and me. Lincoln: One night, no strings.
The story will have Amber caught between two men. Lincoln is who her body craves, but he is also one of the employees. Brecken was her college lover, but he broke her heart. Now, Brecken wants her back, and yes, he comes from the right family, and they were good together—but is good enough? Lincoln unleashes the carnal desires and passion in her, and the more she tastes, the more she craves, the more she must have. This love triangle situation has Amber rocking back and forth like on a teeter-totter and leaving her so confused.
“Amber prided herself on being decisive and a go-getter. She wasn’t a fan of chaos.”
“She was in love with Lincoln Sinclair and had no idea what to do about it. Because she didn’t trust that he could love her in return.”
I loved the characters and chemistry between Lincoln and Amber, but the familiarity between Amber and Brecken. Throw in a surprise, and it has Amber so uncertain what she will do. Lincoln is a wild card that scares her because this was supposed to be a one-night-stand in Vegas—yet, they can’t keep away from each other. Brecken is safe, giving her security, but not what her heart and body want. Will she settle, or will she decide to do what is best for her, rather than trying to make everyone else happy?
“Babe, when are you going to realize whatever you want, whenever you want it, I’m game and am all in?”
Anya Summers has written a 5-star book. This is the story of amber and Lincoln. Amber met Lincoln at a bar and they almost got together but when he found out who she was, he turned cold toward her. She was his boss at the ranch he was going to working at. He has feelings for her but he doesn't think he is good enough for her. Things happen in Vegas when Amber takes her best friend Bianca and the wedding party there for the bachelorette and bachelor parties. Amber and Lincoln hook up for one night without any strings. Amber had gotten a call from Brecken before she went to Vegas and he wants to get back together with her. She agrees to see him after she gets back home. She sets him up with a cabin on the ranch for when he arrives. When everyone gets back to the ranch, things for Amber and Lincoln are not good. She thinks that it was payback for what happened between them when they first met. She goes to talk to him and they end up sleeping together again. She has two men who want her and she doesn't know who to choose. She has feelings for both men but she is always sleeping with Lincoln. Since Brecken got to the ranch, she has not slept with him. Finally Brecken gives her a ring and tells her to think about marrying him. He knows that she has feelings for Lincoln but he wants her to come back to him. Lincoln doesn't know about the ring and he goes to see Amber in her office and sees the ring. He asked he if she made up her mind yet and she tells him no. He told her that he was done with her playing both of them and not to come see him until she had her mind made up. Her doctor calls her and tells her that she was pregnant. Amber goes to see Lincoln and he gives her the cold shoulder and this makes up her mind for her. She had gone to tell Lincoln about the baby but she didn't. She calls Brecken and tells him that she would marry him. She tells her brother, Colt that he can have the CEO back for the ranch. She was leaving the next morning. Amber tells Brecken about the baby and he said that he would raise it up as his own. When Amber gets to Brecken's home, it is more that what she is ready for and she knows she made a mistake by agreeing to marry him. She waits for him to come home and tells him that she can't marry him since she loves him but not in the way it matters. Will Amber ever tell Lincoln about the baby? Will Amber and Lincoln get together for good? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

And we're back! I love Anya Summers and I absolutely love her books, however I was feeling like some of her latest releases were lacking something. They weren't the same exciting hot books she used to write, but she nailed this one! Anya is back on track.
Finally we have Lincoln and Amber. After five books of explosive sexual tension being built between those two, we now get to see their story together. The book reveals all the reasons why Lincoln has been avoiding Amber like the plague... And their struggles to resist each other when they finally give in to their chemistry, because there's another suitor wanting Amber's attention and she's torn between the safety of Brecken's stability and the scorching hot love she feels for Lincoln.
The book is HOT. It's hotter than the previous books of the series, even when Anya ignored the BDSM aspects she wrote on her characters on the beginning of the series. But there's so much more in the matter of character development. Ever since Amber got the job as CEO of the Silver Springs Ranch, she's been having a hard time getting the respect she knows she deserve. She's reliable, hardworker and steadfast, but she's a woman in the middle of dozens of cowboys not used to get orders from a woman. And now that her brother is coming back to the Ranch, she feels like she's losing her place again.
Honestly, I was happy with how Amber solved her problem in this matter. She stood up for herself and made what was better for her and her mental health, however I wish Anya explored this a bit more with Amber's parents. Dealing with this only with her brother wasn't good enough for me.
The book is short, fun and hot! You don't need to read the other books of the series to understand this one, but it's good to read the others since you can see the tension building up.
All in all, the book is really good and I finished it in a day, so I'm sure you'll love it too.
I am giving this book 2.5 stars. I won't go as far to say I hated it, but I came pretty close to that feeling.
At some point, Amber said she was confused about choosing between two men. That didn't make sense to me. She had been lusting after one guy for YEARS. She had broken up with the other guy and had no intention of getting back with him until her feelings got hurt. Where was the big decision? I mean, honestly, why wasn't Amber wondering about all this new found enthusiasm for her from an ex she hasn't seen in 3 years?
I struggled finishing this book because Amber was so wishy washy. Being involved with both men because she was too immature or insecure (not sure which) to make a decision did not sit well with me. Whining about Colt, whining about not being respected by the men on the ranch because she is a woman, etc., was irritating. Suck it up buttercup. I wanted her to stop worrying about all these other things, do her job, or make a decision to do something else, and deal with problems as they arise.
Then we have Lincoln thinking he is not good enough for her. I dislike books where one person believes he/she is not good enough for the other person. I imagine it happens irl, but it bugs the crap out of me. Then he wants to be magnanimous and makes a huge stupid move.
Also, Colt made her an offer and she brushed it off like she could handle the situation. If she felt so strongly about it, why didn't she let him follow through? If she was so unhappy, why wasn't she trying to do something different?
In the previous books, Amber came across as strong, secure, ambitious intelligent, and independent. What happened to that woman?
There were a lot of steamy scenes between Lincoln and Amber. There were a couple of mentions of BDSM, but I saw no evidence of it. Lincoln was supposed to be a Dom, but I saw no evidence of that either.
I will say that I really, really did not like this particular story for all the reasons stated above.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy of this book as part of a boxed set received via Booksprout.
YeeHawwww! We finally get Lincoln and Amber’s story! If you are up to date on this wonderful series, you are away Amber, the CEO, of Silver Springs Ranch, and her employee, Lincoln, have a love/hate relationship (or do they?), and they have been dancing around each other for years.
Amber; Lincoln, and several of the Silver Springs Ranch gang jump on a Lear Jet to head to Vegas for Bianca and Maverick’s bachelor and bachelorette parties. Lincoln figures he’ll find some woman to hook up with, and sexually frustrated Amber decides she’s in need of a hook up as well.
Enter Amber’s ex Brechen. The two dated three years prior but he broke her heart. Before you hate him, he really is a good guy and I wouldn’t hate it if he gets a story down the road. I digress….he tells Amber he wants to woo her back. Prior to heading to Vegas she says she’s open to a date.
Back to the Vegas antics…after a bit of drama, Amber and Lincoln have an amazing night together with the understanding it’s one night/no strings. The two are already half in love with each other so “What happens in Vegas” will not stay in Vegas!
Over the next couple of weeks, Amber juggles both men. This is where my criticism comes in. I loved Amber and Lincoln overall, but they were both two of the densest people ever! They were there own worst enemies when it came to moving their relationship along.
One miscommunication after another and the two have a big fight, she leaves, and it seems the end is here. I can’t say much more without spoiling the excitement you’ll want to read on your own. You won’t be able to put the book down!
HEA? Yes, but for whom???? I will also say there are a few twists and turns I did not expect!! I can’t want for Noelle and Tanner’s story! Then maybe Brechen and Penelope or a yet to be named character? Buy and enjoy my book friends!

A simply riveting read, wonderful characters and great plot that captivated me totally
This was a wonderful addition to the Silver Springs Ranch that I found to be very creative read, the characters and the plot was simply wonderfully written and I knew that I loved every moment of read that simply held me in its grasp from start to finish and I was not able to put the book down until I read it in one sitting.
It was simply impossible to put the book down the writing was absolutely amazing and I found that this steamy ready was mouth-watering and heart racing read which I know that others would be as intoxicated by this amazing read.
The interaction between the trio was simply wonderfully written and it is something that Anya Summer excels at and I assure you that any other reader will have to be aware that once you start reading you will not be able to put this book down till you reach this amazing book.’
Although this was a wonderful part of the series it is fair to say that you can easily read this book in its own right it can read as a stand-alone without confusion.
This is a great read I have enjoyed every single moment of this story and am sure you will love this book and have to read further books in the series.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
How to Rope a Savage Cowboy is the sixth book in Anya Summer's Silver Springs Ranch series. In this book, Lincoln and Amber, while celebrating their friends' upcoming marriage, finally give in to their desire for each other. A desire simmering for years. Lincoln is hampered by feelings of inadequacy due to his upbringing, while Amber is caught trying to figure out if Lincoln or Brecken (her former boyfriend) is the right man for her.
Amber struggles with her own sense of worth and choices. Being CEO of Silver Springs Ranch has not been easy and has left her tired. With the return of her brother, Colt, Amber has decisions to make - including which man will be the owner of her heart.
The passion between Lincoln and Amber is tangible. Lincoln loves Amber. Brecken loves Amber and Amber loves Lincoln and Brecken. But which man is she in love with? Which man turns her heart inside out and fuels her blood with passion? Which man can she truly surrender her body and heart to? Which man leads, protects, shields and cradles her heart safely home?
As always, Anya Summers writes a great story. And, it is always good to catch up with characters from previous books. This book is a standalone but I encourage you to read the other books so you will get to know all the brooding, sexy, dominant men of Silver Springs Rand and the women who have captured their hearts.

There's an inferno between these two when they get together! Lincoln works for Silver Springs ranch as head of maintenance. Amber is the CEO..having taken over from her brother, Colt, a year and a half ago. She definitely has her challenges with some of the older cowboys who are set in their ways, but there's something about Lincoln. They snipe at one another, but just under the surface, there's a heat between the two of them. While in Vegas on a bachelor/bachelorette party, they hook up. Both are shaken by the intensity of the passion and heat between them, but they agreed on one night only. When Lincoln leaves early the next morning, Amber wakes up and is disappointed but admits to what she requested. As soon as everyone gets back to the ranch, Amber's ex from college shows up and wants a second chance..whatever it takes. Amber agrees to try it out, but can't forget about Lincoln and the heat between them. Neither can Lincoln. Amber decides to "date" both men to make a choice, the men agree to it. While Amber dates both men, and realizes how difficult a choice to make is, she realizes she only burns for one man...only one man makes her feel alive but safe and secure...only one man can make her feel the things she feels, but..does that man feel the same about her and can she make a decision without breaking her heart or one of the men. Great book...love the series and the hotness is oh my god between the two of them.
This was Lincoln and Amber's story of all the crew at Silver Springs Ranch and Hotel. Their relationship was a long time in the making. It started shortly after Lincoln came to the ranch to work, and Amber was home from college. They met for the first time at a bar in Winter Park, where they hit it off having a great time until Lincoln discovered she was his boss's sister. They had an unbelievable chemistry between them, but they did not want to reveal their feelings to other one. Especially, with Amber being Lincoln's boss so most of the time he treats her in a standoffish or in a vexing way. Until, they were both going to be in their friends wedding, and the dual bachelor and bachelorette parties were in Las Vegas where Lincoln could no longer contain his jealous taking Amber to her room. He felt she had had to much to drink to make wise decisions. They had a huge argument resulting in them having a brilliant night of passion and setting off an unbelievable chain of events. These two made each other better people, but neither one was going to slow down and really talk to the other one about their feelings being truthful and upfront. It was like a game of blind man's bluff. An exciting read as you waited to see who was going to do what next. You will not want to put it down.

26-year-old Amber Anderson is tired. She is the CEO of her family's ranch in Colorado, and she has to work twice as hard for half the respect, just because she is a woman. She and Lincoln have been dancing around each other for years, and while in Las Vegas, they have a no-strings-attached one-night-stand. She is his boss, and one of his best friend's younger sisters. It can never work. To make it worse, as he realizes he has feelings for Amber, her college ex-boyfriend shows up to win her back. What a mess! I am so glad to finally read Amber's story, and the chemistry between her and Lincoln is off the charts hot as always! That point is more clearly illustrated when she finally figures out she loves her ex, but is not in love with him. This book is fantastic! A strong but damaged Hero, a feisty heroine who can take on the world on her own terms, but wants someone to have her back always, a guaranteed HEA, and the beautiful backdrop of the Colorado Rockies all make for some really good reading. The book can be read as a stand alone, but the rest of the series is just as good, so please, enjoy them in order. Don't miss this one! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Lincoln works on the ranch and friend to the absent Colt, ex CEO of the business and brother to Amber. Amber is now CEO and despite her hard work, to the job she never really wanted and thwarted by several of the older ranch hands, she is not happy. A trip to Vegas reveals more than it covered and things between Lincoln and Amber begin, but the path is not clear, Brecken, her ex, is back in the picture and wanting to get back together. Amber at times is annoyingly temperamental as she flits indecisive between the men, effectively playing them off each other as it is obvious which she wants. Lincoln is bold in his sexual appetite but closed off in his feelings. Brecken has much to offer and marriage is a definite, patiently waiting. The dominant theme runs through all the books in this series but it seems unnecessary because I don't feel it adds much to particularly enhance the relationship. This relationship is basically two people from opposite ends of financial scale and social environment and one of them is preoccupied with it.. 'How to Rope a Savage Cowboy" is the sixth book in Anya Summers's "Silver Springs Ranch" series but can also be read as a standalone. This time we meet Amber, the CEO of the ranch, and Lincoln, the Mr. Fixit for the ranch. Both of these individuals have the hots for each other but there was an incident between them years ago that neither one of them have seems to have gotten over. Not only that, but Amber is the boss' sister and has gone to college while Lincoln came from "the wrong side of the tracks" and went into the military. The chemistry is palpable and finally comes to fruition when several people from the ranch go to Vegas for a Bachelor/Bachelorette party. "One night, no strings attached." Famous last words, right? The rub comes when Amber's ex-boyfriend announces he's moved to Denver and wants to get back together. They were good together before he broke her heart but now that she has been with Lincoln she's sure 'good' is good enough. And what if she turns down her ex and Lincoln still doesn't commit to her. It's a roller-coaster ride until Amber finally decides which way the wind will blow and it is worth waiting for her decision.
I love this series! I have been waiting for Amber and Lincoln's story for ages and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Amber Anderson is the CEO of the Silver Springs Ranch. She has been attracted to Lincoln since they met in a local bar several years ago. Lincoln infuriates and irritated her to the nth degree but that does not stop her from wanting him desperately.
Lincoln Sinclair is the head of Maintenance for the ranch and is a Dom. He was raised by a single mother in a trailer park and does not think he is good enough for Amber, the trust fund girl.
Amber and Lincoln hook up while in Vegas for a combination bachelor/bachelorette party. He leaves before she wakes the next morning and that breaks her heart. Back at the ranch she gets a call from her college sweetheart Brecken who has relocated to Denver and wants to date her. She invites him to be her plus one for the wedding. Meanwhile she and Lincoln hook up again and he tells her he wants to see where this will go. She ends up dating both men. Will she stay with her ranch hand or leave to be with her former boyfriend? . The Silver Springs Ranch series by Anya Summers is a great read and This book was one of my favorites. This book is about the resort handyman, Lincoln Sinclair, and the new CEO of Silver Springs Resort, Amber Anderson. Lincoln would be considered trailer trash, father abandoned them when he was a kid, and his mother cleaned houses to make ends meet. He feels he isn't good enough for Amber although he is very attracted to her. Amber was raised with a 2 parent, financially secure home, went to college and after graduation took over as CEO of her family's resort. She has been attracted to Lincoln but he acts like he can't stand to be around her. But when he sees her old boy friend putting the mavens her, he can't help himself. The relationship Strats, but she cant choose between the old boyfriend who is a safe, secure bet, or Lincoln who makes her heart race, is passionate, and is everything she wants as a lover. I loved the pace of this book, the sizzle, and the steam. These two are great characters, even if I wanted to hit Lincoln over the head. This series is awesome and I am a huge Anya Summers fan!!
I recieved an ARC from Booksprout and the is my honest review.
Amber, the CEO of Silver Springs Ranch and Lincoln the handyman both go to Vegas for their mutual friend's bachelor-bachelorette parties. After witnessing Amber's dance partner getting too handsy, Lincoln steps in and takes care of getting Amber to her room safely. Amber is a bit upset, she just wanted one night to let loose and have a one night stand and Lincoln ruined her chance. Lincoln is all in to fulfill her wishes in spite of Amber being his boss and his BF's sister. When they return to the ranch and get back to normal work days, an ex of Amber's shows up. Brecken wants her back after breaking up with her over having a long distance relationship. Brecken now lives only 2 hours away and is making a good effort at winning her back. I enjoyed Brecken and Lincoln's competition to win a place at Amber's side. There were a few good times I laughed at the men's antics and reassured by the sexual attraction Amber and Lincoln had for each other. I enjoyed this story and how well all the subjects of the competiton handled themselves.
How to Rope a Savage Cowboy is the 6th book in the series and it felt like the previous books where building up to this one, which tells Amber's and Lincoln's story. I was looking forward to that, expecting it to be really explosive with two strong-willed characters finally admitting their feelings. What I didn't expect was for Amber to string 2 guys along, sleeping with one - Lincoln - but still dating her ex while she tried to make up her mind. Or did she? For most of the book, she seemed to be rather passive, waiting for others to make up her mind for her. So disappointing! As for Lincoln, I never expected him to be so insecure - and such a push-over. I would have exptected him to demand a decision and not go along with her games! Turns out, they are not my favourite couple after all. I enjoyed meeting up with the other characters, though, and I look forward to the next book.

This is the 6th book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.
Lincoln and Amber are attracted to one another, but with Amber being Lincoln's boss, he stays away from her. How To Rope A Savage Cowboy is the sixth book in the Silver Springs Ranch series. This book is another wonderful addition to this very enjoyable series, and I have read them all so far. The story is about Amber Anderson and Lincoln Sinclair with a slight kink add into the mix in the form of Brecken Harrison, her ex-boyfriend. I enjoyed this story as the characters do battle with their feelings for each other, the issue of his best friend who is her older brother, her ex wanting her back and more than a little sizzling hot chemistry between them. I did want to shake Amber a few times as she wavered back and forth but eventually she picked the right man for her.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
