My doorbell rings and a family of five is standing on my doorstep. My husband had a family before he met me and never said a word. Now, this woman needs help. How can I do nothing? The problem is, I know nothing about children and how to fit them into my busy life. As I try to learn more about these kids who welcome me into their hearts, it is their mother who completely captures mine.
I think I love this author's writing style because her books are like my wild fantasies. Everything occurs rapidly in her books and is filled with almost unrealistic but exhilarating and sensational incidents. And in no time, the story climaxes towards happily ever after! It's like my impossible daydreams just came true! Mardria Portuondo is a captivating storyteller! Just Amazing 🤩
I haven’t known this author before I stumbled across this book because it was mentioned on Facebook. The
The story is very unusual and fast paced. I couldn’t put it down and was thinking several times how over the top some things were. But it was exactly this that kept me turning the pages and there were several moments where I thought this can’t happen. And when I came to the end my mouth was hanging open because I couldn’t believe it.
The author definitely knows how to rile her readers up. I have seen how many other stories she already has out there and I’m still surprised that I haven’t heard of her before. Will definitely watch out if there is another story that interests me.
So if you’re in the unusual, unexpected stories with some steamy scenes in it, I definitely recommend this one.
I didn't know how to rate this, so I've left it right in the middle with 3 stars.
I thought the premise of the book was interesting, and so I grabbed it. The start was a bit of a mess as the author provided a lot of information regarding the main character, MacKenzie's background. A lot of it was a little unncessary. The introduction of Kimberly and the girls, Haley, Ashley, Addison and Ava was a treat. Kids are cool and seriously, the way it all comes out that MacKenzie’s husband was a major douche... anyway the premise was out there but it made so much sense at the same time.
The attraction between Kim and Mac was believable at the start but then it just got way over the top and the sex scenes were laughable that I had to skip through the rest after the first one I suffered through. Then things just got weirder, but still fit the story. It was so totally crazy but it just fit.
The ending, literally the last paragraph was a twist I wasn't expecting and I'm still laughing my arse off about it now.
This was such a wild and crazy story and I liked it but I will not be reading another book by this author.

SAPPHIC BOOK BINGO: coming-out story, favorite trope, out of your comfort zone, meet-cute, different orientation (possibly other categories)
This was quite a crazy ride! Two straight women had a "love at first sight" moment while meeting under unique circumstances. The reasons for their encounter were somewhat dire, and needed immediate action. It only got more perplexing from there on. Did the husband cheat? Was there really a twin? Which twin was alive? Enough happened for a potential sequel, but it could still have ended as written.
I had trouble with the immaturity and instability of one of the MCs. She complicated the sapphic relationship, making it unhealthy for all that were involved.
This book made me mad, angry, happy, sad, and made me laugh and laugh. I was engrossed in this story from the moment the doorbell rang and Mackenzie and Kimberly met for the first time. I was hooked. I was so rooting for the two of them. But this story also threw me for a loop three times. I liked both the characters of Mackenzie and Kimberly. Kimberly surprised me throughout the story in all good ways.
I was on pins and needles waiting for this situation to finally come to a head. And boy was it shocking!! I did not see that coming.
The ending…another shocker and a good laugh at the parting line!!
This book and characters sort of remind me of the “The Sleepwalker” and “I Did.”
This writer is such a storyteller. The depth of where she goes in unbelievably amazing, sexy and loving but with a twist that can leave you gasping. Mardria Portuondo has done it again. Another must read!
The premise looked interesting, and reviews solid. However this was Poorly executed and totally unbelievable. I laughed and cringed throughout. The sex started out kinda hot but quickly became too much because the chemistry felt so forced. Not my cup of tea sadly!
I loved this book couldn't put it down. Finished it in one sitting it is 2:30 in the morning i going to hate myself at 7:45 but baby it was worth it. I want to read more about Mackenzie and Kimberly.
