This is certainly a different take on your “typical” murder mystery. Ken Allen had a one-time not-quite-starring role as Jove Brand. Needless to say, the movie flopped and he went on to become a private investigator. Through his role of Jove Brand, he met special effects guru, Ray Ford, and they formed a friendship … all these many years later. Ended up enjoying although it started off slow. At times it felt like a sequel but to my knowledge it is not part of a series. There was some back story and asides that made it slow at times. Overall, a very creative tale with a wonderful character base and interesting plot. The main character Ken reminded me a great deal of Sean on “Psych!” Very funny. I could see this being a base for a movie or tv show. The ending was a bit of a let down, but nicely tied up. I wonder if this will be the start
