This review is about the german edition. Unfortunately we can't create new editions on Goodreads, so I post my review at the english version.
Ich empfehle dringend die sieben Dinge zu lesen, die der Autor zu Beginn anbringt, bevor der Leser das Buch weiterliest. Mit diesen zwei Seiten wird sehr schnell klar, in welchem Stil dieses Buch geschrieben ist und auf welche Art und Weise Scott Kelby seine Tipps vermittelt.
Der Titel verrät es: Es geht um Reisefotos. Und hier gibt es grundsätzlich zwei Kategorien. Entweder man macht Fotos, um sich an die Reise zu erinnern oder man macht schöne Fotos, die der Fotograf auch gern anderen zeigen möchte. Dieses Buch richtet sich an jene, die letztere Fotos aufnehmen möchten. Dafür gibt Kelby sehr handfeste Tipps, die sich deutlich von anderen Ratgebern unterscheiden und vielleicht hier und da auch nicht politisch korrekt sind. Ich habe zumindest noch keinen Ratgeber gelesen, in dem unverhohlen empfohlen wird, jemanden zu bestechen, um an besondere Orte zu gelangen, um besondere Fotos zu machen.
Viele Tipps sind überraschend direkt und Kelby schreibt sehr salopp und teils umgangssprachlich. Dies kann er auch sehr humorvoll machen, wenn er z.B. dazu rät, die eingebauten Klappblitze der Kameras direkt zu vergessen, weil sie einfach nur Schrott sind. Auch räumt er gern mit den typischen Klischees der vermeintlichen Fotoprofis auf, die grundsätzlich zu bestimmten Objektiven oder Blendeneinstellungen raten. Er nennt z.B. auch gute Gründe, um nicht zwingend im RAW-Format zu fotografieren und wann es sinnvoll ist, zum Handy zu greifen. So manch humorvoller Tipp kann vielleicht zu ernst genommen werden. Der Leser sollte nicht wirklich einen Menschen fotografieren, ihn anschließend ablenken und dann weglaufen.
Ob es wirklich 180 Tipps sind, die in diesem Buch präsentiert werden, kann ich nicht sagen, da ich sie nicht gezählt habe. Ein Blick in das Inhaltsverzeichnis verrät aber schon sehr viel, was den Leser mit diesem Buch erwartet. Viele Tipps kannte ich in dieser Art und Weise noch nicht. Ich habe z.B. noch nie über eine Outdoor- (oder Angler- oder Foto-) Weste nachgedacht. Oder daran, dass es vielleicht eine gute Idee sein kann, den Kameranamen (als Diebstahlschutz) zu überkleben.
Fazit
Mich hat die direkte Art des Autors sehr angesprochen. Er erklärt einfach und verständlich teils mit viel Witz und Humor, wie auf einer Reise nicht nur gute Fotos gelingen, sondern auch welche Ausrüstung es braucht und wie man sie schützt. Er beschreibt aber auch, was es nicht braucht und von welchen Ideen und Vorstellung man sich vielleicht verabschieden sollte. Wer beginnt, sich für die Reisefotografie zu rüsten, wird kaum einen Ratgeber finden, in dem so unverblümt praktische Tipps gezeigt werden.

This is a book for people just like me: who loves to travel and loves bringing back beautiful photos of visited places but who's never fully content with pictures taken.
It covers the basics (and not only) for every part of photography: what to take pictures of, how to do it and how to edit taken photos to bring the best in them. Some parts of the book, even though interesting, aren't very useful for me because I'm an amateur with only a camera (I don't own any additional lenses and similar gadgets). But the author presented his tips and ideas in a way that I didn't feel excluded at all.
The thing that shows the best what a great book it is? The fact that I took sooo many notes from this book - notes I'll definitely be coming back to while trying to take the best shot possible during my trips.

Recently, thanks to the friend's inspiration , I became the owner of a Canon camera
Well, but in addition to the camera, you need some skills, and here it gets worse.
That's why I put my bets on the book The Travel Photography.
The Internet is full of tutorials and tips, but I was looking for something accessible and not too complicated.
This position contains the tips and secrets of those who can arouse emotions with a photo.
I learned what to photograph, how to edit photos, what lenses work best. But the book contains more than just technical advice. It helps to create creative shots, find the best solutions and, above all, create great memories!
Well, but in addition to the camera, you need some skills, and here it gets worse.

È un libro per principianti o comunque semi-novizi. Tanti trucchi e suggerimenti su come viaggiare e cosa fotografare. Non è un libro tecnico, non è relativo solo al modo di fotografare, ma si focalizza su tutto il contesto del viaggio con una macchina fotografica. Molto facile da leggere, scorre via molto velocemente.
