Rockstar Keith and actor Adam have the kind of relationship that keeps tabloids in business: Passionate and dramatic. They’ve mostly managed to keep their taste for threesomes a secret, though…until they meet Sebastian, a budding journalist who fits perfectly between them. Navigating their careers and a long-term threeway relationship in the public eye of 2012 is playing with fire—and if the paparazzi doesn’t destroy them, their inner demons just might.

Note: This high-heat romance title was previously released as LoveGames by M Jules Aedin in 2012. This edition has been significantly revised with mostly new content, including a brand new ending. Content warnings available on the author's website.

Sadly overlooked queer polyam romance about fame, mental illness, and confronting your fears. It's extremely steamy and also deeply emotional. Also of note: while this begins as an m/m/m romance, one of the characters is on a gender journey. This is one of Kelley's most emotionally complex works I've read so far, and I'm so impressed by how they balanced the desires, worries, and growth of each of the main characters.

Disclosure: I became writerly friends with Kelley after popping into their DMs because I loved their work sooo much. I beta read & formatted for this book. If I don't like a book by one of my writer pals, I simply don't review it.

WELCOME TO THE SHOW was an emotional read but I loved following Keith, Adam, and Sebastian on this journey. Adam, a famous soap star, and Keith, a rock star, have been a couple for many years but living in the spotlight makes things difficult, especially for a couple who enjoys finding a third person for a night of fun. When they meet Sebastian at Atlanta Pride they're both in agreement that Sebastian is exactly who they want in their bed.

I enjoyed each of these characters and the way Jules Kelley explored their needs, desires, and fears. Adam and Keith were such a great couple but I appreciated the way Kelley showed that they still had to work at their relationship and that things were not always easy. Adding Sebastian into the relationship was done really well and I loved the way Sebastian came to be an important person to each of them. I never felt like Sebastian was the odd one out even though Sebastian didn't have the history that Keith and Adam shared with each other. WELCOME TO THE SHOW does deal with a lot of heavy topics but I could see how much care Kelley had in writing about topics like mental illness, depression, and therapy.

Overall, this was a fun, very sexy, and moving romance about three people finding their way in life through all it's ups and downs.

Content Warning: references to drug use; Keith has an undiagnosed mental illness and he's resistant to therapy over fear of losing his music contract; on page sex scene where one character doesn't hear when their partner asks them to stop

Welcome to the Show was a warm and cozy ride through the ups and downs of a blossoming relationship, friendship, and exploration of identity. All of the characters were relatable and felt real - it had a distinct flavour of being an autobiography despite being based on fictional people. I appreciated the inclusiveness woven throughout, tinting everything carefully golden even during the "lows" of the character arcs. I think the only thing that prevented a full five stars for me - though there were a suitable number of events throughout that caused crisis or obstacles for the characters in order to move the story along, and they felt real and honest in their happening, was that I felt that they may have been resolved too quickly and too neatly. Rather than allowing the conflicts to grow and shape the way that the story could have allowed for. Understandably, we process a lot of media where a storyline is dragged out when you are just shouting at the characters "just call them and tell them!!! Show them the photo! Just say you're sorry! Etc etc" but it does mean that the conflicts come to an abrupt end by all characters actively choosing the perfect way to resolve a problem, which would be a heck of a lot messier in real life. For readers seeking something that gets pulses racing (like wow!), and the perfect happy ending, then this is a perfect read for you.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I wanted to read this book because I had enjoyed Edge of the Woods-even knowing this book was nothing like that one. I absolutely loved this book though. Sebastian, Adam and Keith are all really distinct characters. I also really loved that while the plot always kept me engaged it never felt overdramatic or contrived. I just really enjoyed the book to the point where now, 2 days after I finished it I keep going back to reread parts of the story again.
Also, heed the TW but also be prepared so some very steam sex scenes

Disclaimer: I received this book in exchange for a fair review.

Okay, another disclaimer. I loved this so much I sat down and read it in two sittings - it would've been one had I had the time. The characters hooked me so quickly, and I fell in love with all three heroes, all for different reasons. Too many times I pick up one of these books and find the same tired, boring tropes with characters who I can't even remember when I set the book down at the end, and Kelley's writing is a breath of fresh air. Her writing dances along the pages with Keith, Baz, and Adam as they go through the ups and downs of establishing a new relationship and some unfortunate hiccups along the way, with exactly the right fast pacing, steamy sex (like REALLY steamy, ho boy), and lovable characters.

I'm impressed. I would like to give this double-full stars, please.

Each character is fully developed, living his life as well as he knows how, each interaction was written with keen attention but, and I can't stress this enough, never over-written. Never over-explained or excused, and never flinching during trouble, either. I forgot at times that I was reading words, I was so fully immersed in the world. The transitions are fantastic, the dynamic between the three men is at once sweet, attentive, and realistic, and the queer, working class, creative, polyamorous, public figure, and mental health representations are exceptional. Do not skip the Afterword, in which the author speaks to her own mental health journey, and where those quotes came from.

Wow.

Each of the men in this love collective were interesting and the author did a great job of providing a rich and balanced picture of who each of them was and how each of them adds to the relationship. Also how each of them shows up as his own man. I really liked the meet cute that brings Sebastian to the attention of Keith and Adam as a potential partner for them. It was good that we get to see not only the steam but also the adjustments that have to occur to make this work for all of them. Well done.. This was a first read from a new-to-me author, and - wow - am I impressed. I love MMM/polyamorous relationships in books, but I am often disappointed, because the characters don't all feel equal in the relationship. That is so not the case here. Keith, Adam, and Sebastian are each fully fleshed out and personable in their own right. The relationship felt natural. And, oh, those sex scenes. Those three are HOT! I will be looking for more from this author.

Ummm hello, this book is fantastic and why aren’t more people talking about it!?! Very steamy poly romance that is also quite emotional. For a book that’s fairly short (a smidge over 200 pages), there’s a lot of personal growth for each of our three characters. The mental health rep felt very real and I appreciate that it wasn’t magically cured by good sex. And the sex was indeed very very good, LOL. There were also great lighter moments. I’ll definitely be checking out more from this author!
