Rate this book

This is reworking all my thoughts and lectures on the industrial revolution. The most fundamental reason Europe ended up ahead after 1800 had to do with the resources and coerced labor from/of the Americas. And a bunch of other really good insights.

Sort of like a long journal article. A very compelling and convincing argument on the divergence in market integration between Europe and India during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The quantitative evidence is excellent, clever, and allows for a number of fascinating historical conclusions to be drawn.
