One of the challenges I face attempting a doctoral program is that I'm not aware of what I don't know or understand. Thanks to Fox I have a very clear understanding of just how far behind I am when it comes to Mathematics.

A good reference book but it does not hold your hand at all, instead Fox concisely lays out the mathematical foundations of social statistics leaving the reader with the task of pulling it apart.
