Thank you, Zietgeist, for the review copy.

This journal is for the ones who wants to have the most basic minimal presentation with the most basic prompts as per the intent of journal entry. The prompts are focused and well planned out.

The design is mininal. The activities and the space of planning involving both partners are well etched out.

The cover is attractive and there seems to be a lot going on there while the actual content is simple and minimal.

The journal part of this book is mixed. It has two pages with prompts for you to write about what you did. The space for photos is limited, plus who prints out photos in 2025? The lists to make your bucket list(s) are also nicely laid out and broken into categories.

Where this book lacks is in the directions on how to plan and set up your lists. Sure, it is nice that Davis and Gleason share their own story, but I didn't find the building and practical planning sections to be as useful as I'd hoped. I think more questions for couples together and apart to think about would be a great help, as would advice about how to sit down and have the discussions and make time for planning. Don't you think folks would do this sort of goal based work if it were easy? Help even more to make it accessible to us. It would be also be great if the book could lie flatter on a table for the writing and have protective covers for the photos.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not married- YET.

Planning a wedding is EXHAUSTING, but with fun and engaging books like this designed to make the most of your life with your partner after the wedding- it's rewarding. I loved the layout of this book and that it's journal-slash-scrapbook-slash-ALL the IDEAS!

I think this will be such a fun book to start to plan our lives together and also to look back on in years to come and reflect on the amazing times we shared- AND to maybe do some of those 'one in a lifetime' trips or things we never thought we would.

I say this a lot, but it's true- the digital version is cool and all,, but I CANNOT wait to have the physical copy in my hands so we can mark it all up! There's something about having a physical planner/to do list/journal that I'll never be able to replace digitally.

HECCKIN' AWESOME BOOK!

I received a free copy of this book for review purposes from Penguin Random House. While I think this is a good book, it wasn't what I was expecting from the title. Basically, the authors encourage other couples to come up with a huge list of things to do/learn/experience and places to visit. Then, you are supposed to set out to check items off the list together. The rest of the book is more like a scrapbook journal of your travels together where you reflect on your favorite parts and what you learned. Again, it's a nice idea, just not exactly what I expected from the title of the book. I was expecting recommendations for travel destinations or things to do together as a couple. If you are looking for a dedicated space to journal about your travels as a couple, this is the perfect book!

I liked ideas in it, but the title confuses a little bit. I expected more lists, but actually it is journal and could be used not just by married couples.
