Elephant & Piggie meets Narwhal and Jelly in this hilarious new early-reader graphic novel series about Archie & Reddie, two fox friends who have wild fun! In this fourth book, when Archie is woken by a scary noise in the night, he turns to Reddie to help him get to the bottom of it.
Archie and Reddie are having a sleepover! That means they get to play super fun games all night long and wear their favorite pajamas! And even when a storm knocks out the power, they don’t get scared. Well, maybe a little at first, so it’s a good thing they have their trusty flashlights! But when Archie is woken in the middle of the night by a loud grumble, he’s afraid there might be a monster in the house. Luckily, Reddie is there to remind him of his bravery as the two friends investigate together. Everywhere they look, the noise seems to follow, but they can’t seem to find a monster anywhere. Is it super-sneaky, or could there be something else causing these late-night grumbles?

Much like Winnie-the-Pooh, before Archie & Reddie became characters in a book, they started out as two beloved stuffed animals that belonged to the creators' daughter. Candy and James provided their voices and performed all sorts of stories to help their child grow, overcome challenges, and simply have fun. Now that she's a bit older, Candy and James felt like it was finally time to share their stories with the world.
A graphic novel for beginning readers with color coded conversation bubbles. Similar to Elephant and Piggie books, but a small step up in reading difficulty. Characters are supposedly two foxes, although neither looks much like a fox. The story line offers an example of kind helpful advice in a situation that makes both friends scared: thunderstorm, power outage, mysterious growling sounds... F&P reading level M.
I think this is a cute friendship book and would be useful for a reader who is afraid of the unknown/dark, etc. It was fun how the shapes would look scary but then revealed to be normal things.
There's one two page spread when they are playing with the flashlights that is kind of awkward in which order to read the speech bubbles.
Another cute Archie and Reddie book! This time Archie and Reddie must be brave when the lights go out at their sleepover. Good thing they have their flashlights handy! This is such a cute series! Love it!
