Emanuel James "Jim" Rohn was an American entrepreneur, author and motivational speaker. His rags to riches story played a large part in his work, which influenced others in the personal development industry.
Rohn was the recipient of the 1985 National Speakers Association CPAE Award for excellence in speaking.
Though there are some interesting points, it's simply a book of truisms. One of the statements is, "Learn how to separate the majors from the minors. A lot of people don't do well simply because they major in minor things." Who is to say that something is major or minor? A minor accomplishment to one person may be a major accomplishment to someone else. I do agree with the statement, "The influence of those around is so powerful, so subtle, and so gradual that often we don't even realize how it can affect us." Again, some things in this short book I agree with, but most of them I don't.
