What is it about her that makes him lose his mind? Every. Damn. Time.

Tor’s world is falling apart. The king he’d sworn to guard? Dead. The family he worked so hard for? They certainly wasted no time disowning him. All he has left is the Hawks… and an intense desire to win Keely’s heart. It won’t be easy—especially after the mistake he made—but he has to try, because the alternative, living without her, is unthinkable.

Losing someone you love leads to nothing but pain; Keely learned that the hard way. But there is something about Tor that makes her wonder if loving him is worth the risk… if only he felt the same way. Now her best option is to create a new future on her own—no matter how much she might wish her relationship with Tor could be different.

But all is not well in Brythoria. The treaty still isn’t ratified, and the mountain border is filled with enemies poised to destroy them. Can Tor and Keely find their way back to each other? Or will their second chance at happily ever after burn in the fires of impending war?

Tor, book 4 in The Hawks series, is a sexy, steamy, adult fantasy romance full of swords, shifters (kind of), and tons of action. But fair warning: This book is intended only for readers who love fast-paced adventure, soul mates and found family—and characters who curse when they fight for survival. If that’s you, happy reading.

Jennie Lynn Roberts believes that every kickass heroine should have control of her own story, a swoony hero to fight beside her, and a guaranteed happily ever after. Because that doesn’t always happen in real life, she began creating her own worlds that work just the way they should. And she hasn’t looked back since.

Jennie would rather be writing than doing anything else—except for spending time with her gorgeous family, of course. But when she isn’t building vibrant new worlds, she can be found nattering with friends, baking up a storm, or strolling in the woods around her home in England.

If you want to talk books, romance, movies, reluctant heroes, or just about anything else with Jennie, feel free to contact her on Facebook or Instagram But be prepared to settle in for a long chat if you bring up shifters, vampires, Star Wars, or The Princess Bride….

“Tor” is fourth installment in “Hawks” series, by Jennie lynn Roberts, and brings with it the long-awaited story of the appolyon warrior Tor and his beloved Keely, which we've followed, in some detail, since the first book in the series. As in the stories of the other three couples, we have the meeting of people deeply wounded by life, who need to learn to trust again and surrender to love without fear. This is one of the highlights of the series: Jennie masterfully builds characters tortured by unsatisfactory family relationships, who suddenly find their strength in the group they belong to and in the love stories they are called to live. Tor and Keely take this meeting of bodies and souls to the highest level, experiencing all the nuances of a loving discovery, ranging from suspicious caution to complete openness to feeling. The author is expanding the series world building, so we already are knowing something more about the geography of Brythoria and Verturia’s kingdoms, as well as the mysterious Sasanian continent, the chocolate land. And the fight for the throne of Brythoria continues because Lucilla is not secure as queen and a new group of ambitious rebels prepares to dispute the crown using the most devious means. “Tor” already reveals to us part of the intrigues that will surely be in next installment of the series, a dangerous spy game where Reece (yes, it will be his turn!) and the nephilim Daena will play stars. What can I say but that things are getting more and more interesting in this series? I just can't wait for Reece and the other books, I can even see a Mabin or another flying to Sasania (please Jennie, just a visit to get to know this chocolate land better!). In all, this is one of the best fantasy romance series I read in last times and I make a point of recommending to all fans of a good love story with some magic, well-developed relationships between the characters and the right measure of steamy to make things a little spicier.
I receive an arc by the author for an honest review.

TOR is the fourth book in The Hawks series, and you really do need to read the other books first. Not only is there an overall story arc but the stories are just so d*mn good!!!

Tor and Keeley have both been hurt by the people in their lives. And in a sort of similar way, although they have reacted differently. Keeley always wants to run, and Tor never thinks that anyone will stay. Be prepared, because these two broke my heart!

Tor's pain about killed me, I'll be honest here. I felt his pain, his lockdown on his feelings, that all-encompassing numbness. And I really hoped Keeley would break through it. But then Keeley has her own pain, her own numbness, which means these two have trouble communicating, which leads to misunderstandings. What I loved though, is that even though they both get things wrong, they realise that (sometimes with a bit of help!) and work to try and put things right.

Each book in this series wins my heart, every time! And it leaves me wanting the next one immediately! Next one being Reece. I'm going to stock up on tissues because, after this one, I think I'm going to need them. Do you know what? I'll cope. Bring it on!

Sheer brilliance and absolutely and utterly recommended by me. 😍

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 4 in the hawks Series and you really SHOULD read Tristan, Val and Mathos before this one. There is an ongoing story arc through these books and much is not fully recapped.

Tor took a shine to Keeley when he rescued her from Ballinor's grip. They have chemistry but it takes time for them to give in to that. Tor, the big Apollyon that he is, messes up BIGTIME and more than once. Keeley takes everything he says direct to her heart, but it's only later she realises that she has taken things all out of context and now what is she supposed to do?!

It was clear, from the moment we met Keeley in book 2, I think she pops up in, that she and Tor were made for each other. Having the story from THEIR points of view, makes you see things so much clearer.

It took me a while to piece together what Keeley was trying to say, I was so engrossed in the story I think I forgot to read, if that makes sense! *note to self, pay attention!

Keeley is hurting for much of the book, in one way or another, and not always due to Tor and his way with words. You feel for her, deeply. you don't know it all at once and I do love waiting for things to become clear. Tor's pain is different but his is pretty much laid out for you, right from the start. The beginning few chapters of this book run alongside the other three books. Indeed, in book3, Mathos, we know Tor did something bad. Now we know what!

We meet the next leading lady here. I'm not 100% certain about her yet, and what she has to say will be interesting, given who she is, and how Tor and Keeley came upto her. There is much she has to say. And Reece! Who still thinks everything is his fault and is currently drinking his beast into silence. He also has a lot to say, and I can't wait to hear him.

But what's keeping me the most gripped with this series is this: I cannot see where it's all going! Things are changing so fast from book to book, and I really can't see an end in sight and I love that!

How many are there? I've no idea! A couple of the guys have been lurking in the background, doing what needs to be done and popping up along the way. I want them ALL to be happy, and it will be interesting how they get there.

I stress again, write quicker Ms Roberts. Write. Quicker!

This was probably closer to a 4 star read but I wasn't in the right head space for it. Sometimes being a mood reader is the worst. I liked how this story continued on the overall plot of the series. A good portion of the beginning is spent going over Tor & Keely's side of events that happened in previous books. I think that was a smart move on the author's part. We know (over very strongly suspect) at the end of book three that something happened between Tor & Keely and she's pregnant. This book allows us to see the progression of their relationship and all of the events leading up to what we saw at the end of book three. Overall it was just OK for me because I liked the first half of the book more than I liked the second half. The second half had a slow pacing for me that I struggled to get through.

We finally get to read Tor and Keely's story.

It is quite a story and a lot of poor communication between those two.
There is a lot of action, just as in the others, and the story continues from where we left them. On their way north, a lot of things happen and lives are almost lost.

Before reading this book, you must read the others first - else it won't make any sense.

I can definitely recommend this book. This entire series. It is a great group; we hear about the entire team and get to know them more in all books.

We finally get Tor and Keely's story and I have to say it didn't disappoint. I love these characters. And I say this in every review of each book in this series but I just love the bond all the Hawks have with each other and how they all protect and support the women too. They're honourable people and I'm always rooting for them to get their happily ever afters. I enjoyed this book and I'm really looking forward to the next one.

Finally Tor and Keely's story! I have been wondering about those two since book 1.

Fast paced and absolutely enjoyable, so far one of the better in the series.

It is no secret that The Hawks series is one of my favorites of the year. The series gets better and better with every installment. And the series has the most beautiful covers.

Tor continues after everything that happened in Mathos …

Tor has no one and is not doing well with changes in his life. He is an honorable man. He wants to be with Keely, but he finds it difficult to show her. He lets his past rule him throughout his life.

Will he be too late to capture Keely's heart? And Trust?

Keely is an independent and strong woman. She follows her own heart and will do anything to fight for those who she loves. She only trusts a few close allies with her secrets. She has had her eyes on Tor for a while now, but he doesn’t seem interested.

Will she give Tor a chance if he asks for it?

The setting, characters, and emotions in the book are incredible. Tor is a page-turner. I can’t wait to continue with the series. I need more, and it sounds like we will have a fifth book, Reece. Excited !!!!

A Must Read !!!!
