Delia’s prospects at the Mating Mountain are not looking bright. While riding waves of hormonal rage, finding a husband is...difficult. More content to spend her time collecting herbs and loath to date, it will be a miracle if she makes if off the mountain. She desperately needs a guy who can see past her mental illness; but, if she doesn’t find him soon, a lifetime of serving with embittered slaves is a sad certainty.
T.K. Perry lives with her husband and daughter in a lovely Oregon forest filled with wildlife (there is probably a house, too, but that's less picturesque). When she isn't writing or watching said wildlife, she enjoys making jewelry, pretending to be a photographer, and trying to save the world (a frustrating task since she lacks both superpowers and a costume).
T.K. has a B.A. in International Relations from Brigham Young University, an M.A. in International Politics from the University of Denver Graduate School of International Studies, a J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law, and a LL.M. in Environmental, Natural Resources, and Energy Law from Lewis & Clark Law School. Law is her profession, but writing is a favorite hobby.
Do not start this book right before bed. I couldn’t put it down! This is the insightful look into one part of the beautiful and creative world Perry has created that I had been waiting for. Take a sick day and curl up with another great book. Will it be your favorite?
I was thoroughly hooked throughout the book! The main character in the third book of the series is a White. If you haven't read the first two, you should! A white is notorious for changing completely at their wing birth and becoming very hormonal and awful. It was really interesting to read about a character that you knew was a really good person on the inside and genuinely wanted to help people, but was struggling to be nice on the outside! I so desperately wanted people to see her good side and it was honestly hard for me that so many could not. Maybe that was what made me ride it so fast? I wanted to know how her story ended! It was great to see who could see through her outside exterior to the person she really was! I loved who she ended up with! I love that T.K. brought back characters that we have met previously and continued to tell the story of their lives as well. Can't wait for the next one!
WARNING ⚠️ Well this book should definitely come with a warning label “ once you start you won’t want to put it down. I started reading about 4pm thinking to myself that I would just take a little break and read for an hour or so. Well before I knew it, it was 8pm my dog was whining to be let out 🙄. Really he couldn’t wait till I finished the chapter. Next thing you know he’s barking at the door, seriously I’m just trying to have a little me time, oh it’s 11pm guess I should let him in . Now he’s begging to go to bed, it’s 1am. My eyes are getting a bit blurry, 🙀it’s 4:30am . Like I said this book should come with a WARNING It’s that good. Refreshing, fun, pure enjoyment!
Loved this book! 😊 Out of all of the books in the Winged series, I related to this one the most and it’s quite possibly my favorite. I really enjoyed the delightful apothecary oddities sprinkled throughout the book and I freaking LOVE who she ends up with. ❤️
I loved writing this book! I so admire Delia's courage in the face of hormone-driven mental illness and the persecution that often results; she inspires me. :)
Yet another great read… The Winged series has been a really enjoyable read… Each book could be read alone even, but as a series and with several characters in more than one book is great… I loved the ending in this book also… especially after all the drama throughout…. An excellent read…
