Phil Alexander Robertson was an American professional hunter, businessman (Duck Commander company), and reality television star on the popular television series Duck Dynasty. He was also featured on the television show Duck Commander, a hunting program on the Outdoor Channel. He served as patriarch of the Duck Dynasty Robertson family.
He attended Louisiana Tech University, where he played football. He received a master's degree in education and spent several years teaching prior to founding Duck Commander, a hunting equipment company.
Robertson was the subject of controversy after a 2013 interview he did with GQ magazine, where he said that homosexual behavior was sinful. As a result, A&E suspended him from Duck Dynasty. Facing a strong backlash from his supporters, A&E lifted the suspension after nine days.
In September 2023, a biographical film on the early life of Robertson, The Blind, was released in theaters.

I had actually got this book for my husband, who is not a reader. He greatly enjoyed this book and since he enjoyed it so much I knew I had to read it as well. In " Your Daily Phil" Phil Robertson speaks the truth of God and American Freedom. He speaks " Biblical Wisdom" on topics we face daily in our " modern world". As I read I could hear Mr. Robertson's voice saying these things, as if he was speaking directly to me. I enjoyed this book so much that I would read 2 devotionals a day. My favorite quote from the book is "God, the Author of Life" This is by far the best and my favorite way to describe our creator.

Encouraging, inspirational, challenging, educational, enlightening, reflective, truthful, and God honoring all while keeping it simple. All the best ingredients needed for a daily devotional. Practical advice paired with Godly wisdom could be found in every entry and even when a particular lesson or two held hard truths, Phil was clear about not being judgmental which was a refreshing change from most materials on those subjects. Phil knows how to tell the truth in love and he does it well and pairs it with ample supplies of grace and understanding.

Definitely want to add this book to my collection so I can come back to it as often as needed.

Another keeper from the patriarch of Duck Dynasty. Daily readings to keep God in the forefront of our minds and hearts. Only then can this country start to heal from all of the division, hatred, and lack of moral values that seem to plague so many.

Inspiring

A very uplifting book. The daily devotionals make the day better. I admire this man more and more as he continues to spread the word. I hope that a lot of folks give this a read.

Really good - straightforward, simple, almost plain. Phil gives his unvarnished take on what is wrong with our country, and ties it directly to the loss of saving faith in America. Wide-ranging topics, and very easy to read.

Very well written and the bible references and historical references were amazing. Even if it is not your philosophy in life, the book is very good.

I love reading Phil's books. I never had a grandpa and I like to think of Phil as my adopted grandpa.

I love this devotional. I don’t agree with everything Phil writes but he does cause me to pause & think. He does a great job of explaining Bible verses in modern times.
