Morsely Manor and the Magic Mirror

In a time before the age of now, five magical runes were discovered. Deemed too powerful for any one man to hold, they were distributed and hidden amongst the realms of men. Present-day and a young orphan is celebrating her fifteenth birthday, all seems well until the Manors resident caretaker hands her a gift. A gift that comes with more questions than answers. I devoured this story and was completely sucked into the adventure and the characters. This is the sort of book that as a child/ young adult would have been one of my favourites! It has magic, mystery, action and adventure with just enough teenage angst that we can all relate to running in the background of this story with a strong female lead! Strong visual characters mean you immerse yourself into the story.
Can’t wait for the next instalment!

This was a awesome read, got sent it by someone while off work poorly with covid and quiet frankly it got me through. I really enjoyed the character progression and had vivid pictures of the story being told on the pages in my head, this kind of writers I find particularly magical and inspiring. Looking forward to future work by RJ webb.

An easy read, suitable for the lower and higher age range of this genre. This book marks the beginnings of a well develop plot and characters with room to grow and expand. It ends on a cliffhanger, leaving the reader wanting more, I hope we won't have to wait too long to see what comes next from this author.
