Summary: This book is about introducing different animals of the rainforest. It describes a basic trait of the animal and then there is a slide-out that displays the animal and explains what the animal is doing. We are introduced to an orangutan, a gecko, a hummingbird, a jaguar, and a crocodile. This story has vivid and detailed drawings of the animals.

Writing trait:
Word choice - The author uses a range of descriptive words to describe the setting and animals. The words help create a clear image in the reader's mind. "It's a majestic jaguar...", "What hairy orange creature...", "In the brown and muddy water, a create glides on by".

My son and I love this book. He loves pulling out the slides on each side of the pages and loves to point to the animals. It's educational (as far as learning animal names), beautiful, and entertaining. This book is worth buying.
