This book is the first in the Heroes of Lone Star series and focuses on one of the Lynch siblings. It is a thrilling story filled with suspense, drama, danger, and tension. Once you start reading, you won't be able to put it down. The Lynch family consists of dedicated men and women who work to give back to the community.
Brooks, a police officer, loves his job, but when a deranged man goes after someone he loves, all bets are off. I'm completely hooked on this series and the characters with their banter and sarcasm. The mix of action, danger, fun, and laughter has me fully engaged.

When I first learned of Zach’s siblings I knew I wanted to know more about them. I’m so glad each one of them are getting their own story. We first seen the H and h on Zach’s Redemption: Charlie Team book 3. And if you haven’t read Charlie Team series, you should totally do… just saying! 😉
Charlotte is such a fun and sassy character. I really enjoyed it. She doesn’t do relationships but she enjoys herself, and if she sees someone that she likes she takes haves fun and that’s it. But when it comes to Brooks, all changes.
Brooks is an officer… what’s there more to say, a guy in uniform 🤤…… 😂
There were several moments where I wanted to knocked some sense into him!!! 😒 I did understand that he was trying to protect Charlotte but really Brooks?!!! Charlotte was easy on him!!

I’m been waiting for Charlotte’s book since Leslie and Zach’s book. She was Leslie’s best friend and totally unforgettable. She spunky, sassy and Brooks wants to make her his. The problem is Charlotte doesn’t do relationships. She’s kind of the wild child!! Brooks and Charlotte have one wild night and then Charlotte friend zones him and takes off. Charlotte is in complete denial of course but can’t seem to forget Brooks. Then an accident sends Charlotte to his bedside and then love story really begins. It was a great read! A little action, drama and a HEA we all love. Don’t expect Charlotte to do anything easy or the conventional way. You’re definitely in for a wild time.

I loved the chemistry between Charlotte and Brooks, as well as the effort they both made to be friends above all else. Sure, there were a few hiccups when Brooks thought he knew best, but I almost couldn’t blame him for his actions. Almost. I still remained firmly Team Charlotte when he was dumb, but I still felt for him. And since they made it all right in the end, I couldn’t be too upset.
I see potential for a good series here and I especially enjoyed how I was constantly guessing and wondering who was behind the danger. So, kudos to this author for making me guess and wonder and worry without it feeling too dramatic or OTT! I look forward to what comes next for this series now also.

Absolutely amazing.
Brooks, is a police officer who wants nothing more then to serve and protect his community. That is until Charlotte comes waltzing into his life and rocking his world to it's core.
Charlotte, works for one of the worlds top designers and choose to live a life of no comment. Knowing she could easily fall for Brooks she chooses to walk away, implementing a friend's only rule to protect her heart.
Friends only can only last for so long when your heart knows what it wants.
Lives are threatened, people get hurt. Can they're love make it through this? Will they find their happily ever after?
I was so excited for this spin off series after falling in love with Zach and his crew. And this one did not disappoint. I absolutely loved how this one played out. I can't wait to see what happens next for the rest of the Lynch family.

This one was ok for me. Charlotte and Brooks’ just friends mantra got monotonous as the book went on. As a personal preference, I despise when women refer to their friends as bi@$h. Makes me crazy and charlotte and her bestie did it all the time. I’ll probably continue the series.

Charlotte and Brooks are such a great couple. There was mystery, a little suspense and a lot of steam. The writing is terrific. I really enjoyed this book!

Fighting for Charlotte is book #1 in Elizabella Baker's brand new series: A Heroes of Lone Star series; it is a spinoff to the Charlie Team series. You don't have to read The Charlie Team series first to begin this series. Yes, there are cross over events and characters but, with Elizabella Baker's writing technique, you can easily understand and keep up. And personally, I find her work enjoyable to read. Our hero Brooks and heroine Charlotte made an appearance in "Zack's Redemption", book #3 in the Charlie Team series.
I'm so happy that Charlotte got her own book! And it's my favorite book so far from Elizabella's work! Charlotte is such a character! I loved her from Zack's Redemption, and it was great to see her friendship with Leslie continuing on in this book. And just like Leslie (who's an author by the way), Charlotte has a love for reading, especially romance novels. She's stubborn, sassy, straight forward, funny and witty; Charlotte is a character where you can instantly love! Some of Charlotte and Brooks' dialogues had me laughing out loud! They had a friendly and flirty banter. Brooks and Charlotte want each other, but they were hesitant to act on it. And this annoyed and frustrated me a little bit. Especially, when an incident occurred which caused Brooks to push her away. But eventually, he came back to his senses; Brooks realized he made a big mistake.
Charlotte isn't interested in settling down; she has a strict "no-commitment" rule, sticking to keeping things casual. She is career driven and successful in her line of work: working for one of the top fashion designers in this industry. Charlotte is the one to act first, walking away before her "date of the evening" decides to bolt/leave. She won't uproot her life or change her lifestyle for anyone, let alone for a man. Well, that's until Brooks came along.
Brooks is Zack's older brother; he's such a sweetheart and a swoon worthy character. But don't let that fool you Brooks is also commanding. I mean, after all, he is a "man in uniform": a police officer enforcing the law. Their interactions were pretty heated; their relationship started off with a "big bang", and believe me, it was HOT!!! But, the intensity of their relationship dialled down to a slow burn. Hence, Charlotte couldn't offer anything other than friendship. Despite wanting more, Brooks agreed to be her friend. But the more they interacted with each other, it became *very* hard for Charlotte to keep Brooks in the "friend's zone". Overall, another quick read by this lovely author! Looking forward to the next installments!

Lovers to Besties to....????
Awsome kick off of the new series of Zack's brothers and sisters (from Zack's Redemption, The Charlie Team Series). This book doesn't disappoint especially in the spiciness, but also in the great story telling we have come to love from Elizabella.
The book starts out at Zack and Leslie's wedding where Leslie's best friend Charlotte is her maid of honor and Zach's oldesr brother Brooks is the Best man. There is instant attraction and chemistry between the both of them. So it isn't surprising that these two end up sneeking off after all their obligations for the wedding are over and winding down. They end up getting it on in the woods behind the reception. But when Leslie walks off and back to the wedding, she never expects Brooks to not follow her and end up spending the night together after the wedding before she flys back to Boston. Instead he leaves the wedding and goes back to the rental house he is staying in.
They both go back to their normal lives, Charlotte back in Boston to her job as a fashion designers assistant, and Brooks in Texas as his job as a police officer. Both can't get eachother out of one anothers heads. So when Zach and Leslie try and play a little match makers to try and bring these two together again it is not suprising that Brooks takes the bait and flys to Boston. Brooks shows up at her door and they argue a bit and end up having hot angry sex on her counter.
Later and quite surprisingly Charlotte tells Brooks she isn't interested in a long distance relationship and just wants to be friends. Brooks immediately agrees and there starts a very flirty friendship with texts and calls almost daily. The two of them obviously want more than a friendship but aren't just comming out and saying it. They spend time together when Charlotte comes to visit her bestie, but still hold to the friendship even when they both want more. Then suddenly a crazy thing happens to Brooks and Charlotte rushes to be at his side. Brooks alread knows he wants Charlotte as more than a friend, but Charlotte is scared and not admitting to herself that she truly wants more than a best friend. This tragedy shows Charlotte that she wants more, but will she finally admit it to Brooks? Or will it be too late and she missed her opportunity? You must read to see if Charlotte and Brooks can finally admit their true feelings to one another, and if they do how do they make a long distance relationship work? Who gives up their dream job to either live in Boston or live in Texas? Side note the spiciness of this book is extremely HOT!!! As well as some crazyness and twists. Highly recommend checking this book out.

🍁🍀 I love Elizabella Baker's characters, and it is a great book and definitely recommend to everyone. I am so looking forward to more books in this series. I love this world that Elizabella Baker has created for us!

🍁🍀 Brooks, Zach's brother, and a police officer always puts his family and community first, until his first sighting of Charlotte. Due to misguided ideas following unexplained happenings and dangers, Charlotte is send scurrying back to Boston.

🍁🍀 Again, they made me laugh but I was holding onto my breath in anticipation and relieved the author promised a happily ever after. It was all that had me convinced all would be ok! Expect the unexpected! My nerves! Wow!

Went in blind to this book.
I gave it a 3.75 - 4.25⭐️ rating.
Just because I loved ALL the characters so much and wish I could have more of them.
The plot was good.
I loved the characters like I said, and I'm excited to read Garrett and Chloe's story so I can get more on Brooks and Charlotte. Garrett's story was a tiktok rec and I wanted to start at the beginning of the series. I felt like I was missing a lot information for it being #1 in this specific series. So I'm assuming this is a spin off from another series? (Zack and his team)
I hated how it was told in a 3rd person POV. It jumped around too much in the timeline during the chapters but then a few chapters had the time jump before it even started. Weird/confusing but okay. This is my first book with this author and I'm curious to see how the other books go.
REALLY wanted more spice instead of just saying they did the spicy stuff without giving up the goods. I especially wanted more of Brooks being so damn dominant. 🌶🤌 Loved what we got, just wanted more.
Overall without giving any spoilers, it was a really cute and good book. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for the hot alpha male type that is head over heels for his girl.

Quick moving story that was such a good read! The sparks between Charlotte and Brooks leapt off the pages!!
This is the first book by this author that I’ve read and it didn’t disappoint. Fire from beginning to end, I’m surprised I could still hold the book!
Charlotte attends her BFF’s wedding and is strongly attracted to the groom’s older brother, Brooks. But neither is really into commitment so after a quick trip to the woods, that’s it. Yet the two can’t get the other out of their minds. Brooks visits Charlotte in Boston, things progress a bit but then - whoa, friend zone!! What follows is the journey they each take to hide their feelings until something happens to Brooks and Charlotte leaves Boston.
Brooks’ family is a bit zany (rather his brothers are!) and Charlotte has the best kick-ass friend in Leslie.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the series!

This is a standalone book but does reference characters from the 'Charlie Team' series.
I really enjoyed this book. It had the perfect mix of hero, romance, action, suspense along with a strong female.
Charlotte lives in Boston and is enjoying her single life. Her best friend has just moved to Texas and gotten married, and Charlotte meets Brooks at the wedding. There's an instant attraction, but her fear of commitment puts him in the friend zone.
I loved seeing these two interacting and getting to know each other. Charlotte was fearless and not afraid to say what she wanted which was refreshing and entertaining.
Brooks was so sweet and so careful to not frighten Charlotte away, but he was biding his time.
Throw in some suspense, a couple of accidents and a crazed gunman and this story will keep you hooked.
This was my first book by the author but it won't be my last.

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a sucker for a man in uniform. Especially one who is a Police Officer. So much so, I married one! ❤️
Charlotte Snyder is talented, loves fashion, smart as heck, independent, outspoken, sassy, spicy and beautiful! She is not scared to grab the bull by it’s horns and go for what she wants. “I sure as hell ain’t hiding the fact that I have every intention of jumping his bones the first chance I get.” Oh Charlotte, I wouldn’t be hiding that either! 😉 She’s my kinda girl! ❤️
Brooks Lynch is a Police Officer who is kind, compassionate and a whole lot of sexy! He always put his family and community first. That is until he meets Charlotte and we get to see the sexy alpha side of him. Total turn on! (Insert sigh and evil laugh).
These two were crazy about one another. However, seeing these two together, one would wonder why they were under the impression they could be “just friends!” What!? Really!? Give your head a shake.
Brooks was completely taken by Charlotte. The slow burn was hot. I had “the feels” in my tummy just thinking about what was coming! AND I was not DISAPPOINTED! Whenever these two “came” together it was steamy and hot! (I loved Brooks’ naughty side!) “She froze when she saw the look in his eyes. Desire. Pure and simple. He stopped with his fork half way to his mouth and just watched her. No devouring her. That’s the only way she could describe the look he was giving her. Bedroom now, he growled.”

“Fighting For Charlotte” gave me the good feels. Great love story with dome unsuspecting surprises. Looking forward to reading all the books to come in the series! Another great series by Elizabella Baker!

Charlotte Snyder is talented, loves fashion, smart as heck, independent, outspoken, sassy, spicy and beautiful! She is not scared to grab the bull by it’s horns and go for what she wants. “I sure as hell ain’t hiding the fact that I have every intention of jumping his bones the first chance I get.” Oh Charlotte, I wouldn’t be hiding that either! 😉 She’s my kinda girl! ❤️
Brooks Lynch is a Police Officer who is kind, compassionate and a whole lot of sexy! He always put his family and community first. That is until he meets Charlotte and we get to see the sexy alpha side of him. Total turn on! (Insert sigh and evil laugh).
These two were crazy about one another. However, seeing these two together, one would wonder why they were under the impression they could be “just friends!” What!? Really!? Give your head a shake.
Brooks was completely taken by Charlotte. The slow burn was hot. I had “the feels” in my tummy just thinking about what was coming! AND I was not DISAPPOINTED! Whenever these two “came” together it was steamy and hot! (I loved Brooks’ naughty side!) “She froze when she saw the look in his eyes. Desire. Pure and simple. He stopped with his fork half way to his mouth and just watched her. No devouring her. That’s the only way she could describe the look he was giving her. Bedroom now, he growled.”

"Fighting for Charlotte" was SO FREAKING GOOD!! Somehow, Elizabella never ceases to amaze me with how full and interesting her plot lines are. She is the QUEEN of plot twists, and definitely knows how to keep a reader on their toes. ;) Brooks and Charlotte's story definitely caught my attention from the beginning and held it until the end. I had to rip my own phone out of my hands so I would put this book down long enough to sleep. 😅 I will say that I had mixed emotions about the ending though. I was glad they got the ending they deserved, but I was also sad that their story is over. 😭 Their story is like book hangover good, so if you get the chance to read it, dive right in and enjoy the ride. I promise you won't regret it. ❤️

This was a fun story with some interesting twists. Can these two foot loose and fancy free people find love? Can they do the long distance thing? This book is well worth the read!

✍️My thoughts: This was the first book I received from my @romancereveal box and I loved it! The back and forth with Brooks and Charlotte’s relationship had me on my toes. She was independent… he didn’t want her to get hurt. The angst, the drama, and the passion were spot on. When there is a spicy scene on page 5, you know it’s gonna be good! I loved how no matter the distance or situation they always fought for each other!

They find out tat a kid took his parents car and wrecked it. The man that shot him kidnapped Charlotte and he will do anything to save her

This was a super sweet story with just enough angst, action and steam to make it perfect. Brooks is a super sexy and loyal cop who falls quickly for the unobtainable Charlotte. Charlotte has been burned in the past and keeps her heart locked away for fear of being vulnerable and hurt again. I loved Brooks' character and the fact that he kept at his relationship with Charlotte, even if it meant just being friends. I really enjoyed the friendship that Charlotte had with Leslie, that was a lot of fun to read. There's a bit of action and intrigue that was a nice addition to the romantic story line as well.

There's absolute sass starting on line 4 and the heat starts page 7. Elizabella is bringing it. Honestly, I struggled to finish because I didn't want this book to be over. I didn't want to give up the whirlwind of emotions. While this is the 1st book in a series you may find reading her whole collection a better option to know some of the side characters better.
This book is different from her other series. It has the trademark HEA. It has the sweet and 'awww' moments. But, there's a whole new level of everything that I'm currently dying for the next books to come out.

This is my first book by Elizabella Baker and I will definitely have to check out more. After a seriously hot first encounter between Charlotte and Brooks, these two go on a journey of attempting to become friends first. It is rather entertaining how much their respectively fail at it.
This book also has a bit of a suspenseful feel to it thanks to an enemy coming to light.

Good, fun story. There was a bit too much does the other person have feelings for me and after awhile it was a bit too much. They kept running away from each other. Brooks and Charlotte get their HEA but after getting through the whole book it would have been nice to read about the proposal rather than just know he was going to do it that night.

What a fun book! It has some great banter between Charlotte and Brooks. I love when they do this, makes me laugh. These two have amazing chemistry that they can’t deny and are drawn to one another. There is also a little suspense in this book, that will have you on the edge of your seat. This is a great friends to lovers book that I definitely recommend.

Brooks and Charlotte are attracted to one another but stubbornly can't get their lives to align at first. Friend zoned yet wanting more Brooks is content to text and want more. Charlotte wants someone who will fight for more. When Brooks needs her she's there but he doesn't want her there. Good book with a great storyline.

Brook & Charlotte are a couple who didn’t know what they wanted till they had a taste of paradise. The back & forth banter, the hilarious back up from the bestie & brother leaves you clutching your tummy. The crazy heat between the sheets leaves you hot! Suspense to keep you turning pages & the HEA. Excellent

This was a new to me author and I enjoyed the story!
Brooks is such a sweetheart! He fell hard for her but let her set the pace of their relationship until he just couldn’t anymore lol after that it was full steam ahead and WATCH OUT! 😂

What a wonderful first book in the Lone Star series. Charlotte and Brooks story will take you on journey of first feelings of wanting more but scared to reach out for it. So much going on that I didn't want to do anything else until I read it all. Another fantastic story.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Charlotte is hilariously funny, and she sure Keeps Brooks on his toes, this was a terrific story about two people who have a blazing chemistry but distance keeps them apart..5 stars from me 🙂

Elizabella Baker is a new to me author. I really liked this book and now I need to get the rest of her books. There was a lot of feels with suspense and drama between the hero and heroine.
