Summer has a successful business where she helps professional sportspeople with their relocations. When someone gets traded it can happen overnight often leaving them with no help finding a place to live. This is where Summer is in her element, she dedicates a chunk of time where she is solely focused on them and does everything she can to help them settle into their new location.

Crew Maxwell is her latest client to be traded. Like a lot of her previous clients, the need to flirt and charm her is at the forefront of Crew’s interactions with Summer. She is used to this and quick to ignore it as her one rule is not to date anyone she is working for and also, she never wants to date an athlete. She has learnt the hard way that once they have what they want from her they leave and never look back.

Crew does not get that memo, it’s like he took one look at Summer and saw his whole future with her mapped out in his head. He feels innately drawn to her and his dog Bart seems to have fallen for Summer too. Resisting Crew is not easy, everything he promises to Summer is backed up with actions, he really is a man of his word. Once he sees an opportunity for a touchdown with Summer he is all in.

The fifth book in this series delivered another fun romance that is a perfect, in one sitting, poolside read.

I've been reading J Sterling's Fun for the Holidays novellas and have enjoyed each one. But Summer Lovin' may be my favorite. It was super cute, super fun and I enjoyed Crew and Bart so very much.

I find that novellas are hard to get a whole story across AND make you connect with the characters, but I definitely felt like I got a complete story and I enjoyed where it took us. Crew is new to LA and Summer is his relocation specialist. She is used to his kind. Good looking and very flirtatious. After having some bad experiences in the past, she knows not to mess with her clients. They are in it with her for the 2 months and then they forget about her. But Crew is different. He knows what he wants right away. He just needs to convince Summer to give him a chance.

Summer Loving was fast paced and to the point, but I think I most enjoyed that there was no unneeded drama. It was guy likes girl. Girl fights her feelings. Guy is patient until he's not and girl connects to his dog and has to connect with his human at some point, right?

That was our story and I'm sticking with it. Fun, sexy, flirty and a nice summer read to cleanse your palate in between the longer books. Loved Crew, Summer AND Bart!! Grab a tasty beverage and enjoy!

This is definitely my favourite novella out of the series. I just loved Crew and how persistent he is in showing Summer that he is different and not like other athletes she has worked with. And of course, she's been burned once so she has a rule to never date her clients. She is very determined to never let her guard down but Crew is very determined and he knows what he wants and that's Summer.

This is definitely a sweet, swoon-worthy and entertaining read. I loved it. Highly recommend.

As always, thank you J. Sterling for an ARC of this book. All opinions are my own.

I've really enjoyed all of the short, lighthearted reads in this series, but honestly, this one has to be my favorite. Crew and Summer have such great chemistry and are two of my favorite characters from this series.

I swear J. Sterling can tell when I'm in the need for something that will just lift my spirits and let me get lost, for just a little while, in a fictional world where everything is perfect. She sends me these ARCs at the best time and she did it again with Summer Lovin'. Crew is a professional quarterback who has fallen head over heels for Summer from the moment he sees her and his flirting had me in smiles the entire time. Summer is a personal assistant for recently traded professional athletes who has sworn off relationships with clients, but of course, Crew with his sexy looks and smooth talking is worming his way in.

There was no unnecessary drama and a happily ever after that we all dream of. This book might have been one of the spicier books of the series also, Crew is a dirty man that just goes for it and isn't afraid to tell Summer what he wants. I love me some alpha in my fictional man. Thank you J for creating this delicious man!

I highly recommend this book and will also nudge you into reading the other books in the series. We all need a little bit of fun and love in our lives, these books are the perfect treat!

I went through a whirlwind of opinions about this book over the course of listening to it!

The premise itself is good - I loved the idea. Once I started listening, I realized that it had very little to do with summer as a season. Our female main character’s name is Summer. There’s a few mentions of it being summertime in LA throughout the book, but that’s about it.

Once we got to our male main character’s chapters, I couldn’t get over how cringeworthy they were. First of all, the narrator for his chapters was not a good choice. He almost sounded like some over-the-top Batman impersonator. It was not believable at all. And the dialogue for him was so crude that instead of making him seem like an alpha, it made him seem more like a douche. Why on earth Summer would fall for him is beside me. Once we got further into the story and closer to the end, my opinion started to improve. Their relationship started becoming more believable and tolerable. Then Crew, the MMC, has to go and say something on national television in front of millions of people about “wanting to put a baby in” his girlfriend. I mean, really?!?!

Summer’s narrator did a good job, and I enjoyed her chapters more.

This was a weird read…

Summer Lovin' is the fifth novella in Sterling's Fun for the Holiday's series but they are all standalones.

Summer Lovin' features Crew, a recently traded quarterback and Summer, the football team's resident transition manager.

Summer helps newly traded players with getting settled into their new territory by helping them find housing, cars – pretty much whatever they need in order for the player to focus on their job. She has sworn off all athletes so when Crew waltzes into her office an throwing the same swag and doting words at her like every other player to cross her threshold, she shoots him down immediately.

Crew is not one to give up so easily. And he doesn't see Summer as a conquest to work out of his system. Crew sees Summer as so much more, but he knows that he has a tough road ahead of him.

I loved this book so much. Sterling delivers a sweet and sexy novella that will have readers salivating by the end. Truly, a great and quick summer read.

I absolutely LOVED this story as it was just a fun read with a football theme (man the season can't kick off quickly enough) & heat between two people who are perfect for each other. It's a lighthearted read that is always welcome since I spend a lot of my time in dark books. Crew is a pro football QB who has been traded to a new team. Summer takes care of players who have been traded with things they need, and from the moment Crew saw her, he wanted to make her his so he set out to do just that. However, Summer doesn't date players because of her job, and she knows how they can be after the chase if over so Crew has his work cut out for him. Luckily, he's an in to win type of drool worthy man so let the games begin. Summer Lovin' is a short(ish) read filled with so much goodness that I instantly craved more, and I believe you will too after you hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I’ve been enjoying this holiday themed series so far this year! This one was another quick read. It was fun and spicy. Summer and Crew were compelling characters. Summer was smart, independent, and kind. Her stance on dating pro athletes felt relatable, but she did seem to forget about that rather quickly. Crew was sexy, used to taking care of himself, and knew what he wanted. The instant connection between them was a little forced and rushed for me. I did enjoy their banter and how their relationship grew past the insta lust. I also loved Summer’s friendship with Seline. The plot was very fast paced, but it fit the characters and the story. The ending was abrupt, but it fit the characters well. I liked the epilogue and where it left the characters.

Summer isn’t about to jeopardize her career and reputation by getting involved with one of her clients. She will do whatever she can to help them relocate on a professional basis but that is where it ends. That rule had been ironclad until Crew came into her life.

Crew is a professional football player who was drawn to Summer in a way he never felt before. His biggest challenge would be showing Summer that he doesn’t want her for one night but forever.

Crew and Summer were so much fun together between the chemistry between them, the humorous interactions and the determination of Crew to romance her and show her that she is the only woman he will ever need.

Summer Lovin' follows Summer, who is a pro-athlete relocation specialist, and Crew, a professional football QB and a client of Summer's. Summer has trouble trusting athletes and their intentions. She has made a rule to never get involved. What happens when her new client is adamant about his wants and needs?

This is a cute, quick read. It's light-hearted and fun to read.

This is officially my favorite book in the series! I loved everything about it. Summer and Crew were both fantastic characters, and their chemistry, witty banter, and the way their relationship developed kept me hooked from beginning to end. The spice was, as expected, absolutely off the charts. One of my favorite things, though, was that the conflict felt realistic instead of relying on an overblown misunderstanding or unnecessary drama. It made their romance even more satisfying, and I couldn’t put this one down.

This series seems to be unfortunately going downhill a bit as the year goes on. I really disliked the male lead in this one and also felt like it missed the summer theme. The only redeeming quality for the most part was the dog.

This book was just how it was labeled: a quick and easy summer romance read. It is only around 180 pages so very easy to get through and the story itself wasn't bad. A football quarterback, Crew, is traded to a new team and his team hires Summer to help him get settled in a new city to get housing, a car and other odds and ends taken care of.

Crew meets Summer and instantly falls in love with her which I didn't like at all. There was no substance to their relationship. They rarely had any deep conversations to help develop the relationship. He just decided she was "the one" and kept pursuing her until she finally gave in. There is no third act break-up or any real drama in the story. A quick and easy read it was but really not something I'll remember much about a month from now so just an average review for me.

I really enjoyed this quick, fun read! This romance was a sweet and simple story. You didn’t have the unnecessary drama I feel are in a lot of books, but it was a clear cut romance, realistic in how it all played out in my mind. The way people behave in the real world. Well, a pro-football player might be a little whimsical, but the rest was good. I loved the characters, I loved Crew especially. I loved Crew’s dog too. There were steamy times as well, and those were pretty darn hot! A great addition to this fun series from Sterling!

Jenn you did it again, I literally devoured this book in five hours, I was hooked and could not put it down to save my life or even my precious sleep.
You were right when you told me this one was one of your favorites from the series, it definitely is mine.
Crew and Summer story stole my heart and had me on a rollercoaster of feelings that are too many to even describe them. It was so fun to read, a beautiful story.
Crew was never scared to put himself out there and let Summer know exactly how he was feeling. The way he acted, expressed himself, how he never stopped fighting for her even when she was playing hard to get, his possessives, his alpha male actitud, ughhh I was obsessed the second he said “𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘢𝘨𝘦.” I just love him.
Summer, the type of woman every little girls aspires to be, and what some women envides while others like me admire. She knew what she wanted, what she deserved, and what she was not about to put on with. She was sweet and caring but fierce.
Both of the together were PASSION, a passion that could bring the world down. They complemented each other in a way no everyone could. The were relationship goals, and I’m not saying this because they were perfect, no they were far from being it, but how both of them talk to each other and let the other one know their feelings and what they were okay with and what made them uncomfortable, that’s what a relationship is all about, and they had it good.
Summer Lovin’ has become one of my top 5 favorites read of the year and it staying that way.
Jenn thank you for another masterpiece, we don’t deserve you. I’m so proud of you, keep killing it girl ❤️

Who the hell doesn’t want a guy like Crew! I know I do. I’m so in love with these Holiday novellas J. Sterling has been writing. One is better than the next and Crew and Summer’s story is my favorite so far. I couldn’t put it down and I wanted more. It was so well written and gave us all the feels.

Summer never dated or fell for her clients. It was her one rule. She had learned a long time ago that they just wanted one thing from her and when she gave in, they left and she never heard from them again. So when her new client Crew walked in she was instantly attracted to him, well until he opened his mouth and started flirting with her like every other male client had before. What makes him different from everyone else? He’ll take what he wants and leave her, she had to protect herself. But why was he breaking down her walls and why did she want him too?

Crew knew from the first moment he was with Summer that he wanted her. Yes, in his bed but more than that. In his life forever. There was something there, he felt it and it was something more than lust. She was different and he would prove it to her. They were meant for each other. There would be no one else, but he knew he had to be straight up about what he wanted from her in the long run, not just for 2 months and leave her. He had to step up and give her no other options other than him and her together. He would break down her walls kicking and screaming until she realized they were perfect for each other. He could do that right?

I received this ARC for my honest review and opinion.

#summerlovin is the next book in the holiday series by @authorjsterling

Summer has worked for years building up her walls to not fall for the charm of professional athletes. She’s built a business to be proud of as a temporary PA to athletes that are new to the area. If there’s a pickup line, she’s heard it. But she learned from her mistakes, don’t sleep with the client. That’s until Crew. Can she firmly keep down her rules or is he going to shatter those walls for a real chance?

Crew is a hotshot football player who’s been able to get what he wants from his looks and personality. Also, With some help from Bart of course (IYKYK) but there’s something different with Summer. Not only is she beautiful and smart, but she’s damn good at her job. The more they are together the more he wants her. He’s determined to get what he wants. As an athlete he hates to lose, not only is he trying to dayr Summer he always wants to win her as the ultimate prize.

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. I am LOVING these books. They are absolutely perfect with shot, funny and damn spicy reads. Crew and Summer have wonderful banter and essentially drive each other nuts. But not only that, they have genuine fun together, they don’t need to impress anyone so they enjoy life. It’s a perfect summer beach read, along with the rest of the series. Absolutely recommend!

This was a really hot, sweet, sexy and fun romance with very little angst or complications. It stars Crew who is a football player who has relocated to a new city, Los Angeles for his new job of quarterback.

Summer is his new relocation specialist. That means she works for him exclusively for two months helping him get settled in the new city, finds him a rental and then more permanent home, as well as welcomes him to the city and give him the best restaurants and tells him all about the new city he has moved to.

In this story Crew sees how awesome Summer is and falls hard and fast but she refuses to get involved romantically with any sports clients as she feels they are just looking for a good time and she wants a real relationship. So, Crew has a lot to do to get her to see that he wants so much more with her.

Let's say that between these two there are lots of fireworks and I absolutely loved their energy, and banter. They were really adorable together and I loved how Crew never gave up on Summer and was willing to show her how much he wanted her.

This was an awesome story with a Celebrity in the world of sports and I adored this really cute couple and loved watching them fall for each other.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Fun and lighthearted! I read it fast because it doesn’t have any angst, just two love crazy characters who fell for each other pretty fast, and just spent the whole book running towards their HEA!

Crew Maxwell is the new quarterback for the Los Angeles pro football team. Summer Brady is a short term relocation specialist for professional athletes who have just been traded into a LA team. She helps them with finding a house, car, moving in, etc. She helps them for two months until they’re established and takes on a new client. She’s beautiful, so she’s accustomed to have the athletes hit on her, then completely forget her once the two months are gone. So, she keep on a defensive front and doesn’t take their approaches seriously.

Until Crew arrived, he started coming on to her, but wouldn’t let on. The winning catch was when he introduced her to his dog Bart and Summer fell in love with his dog instead of him. It was an entertaining story as Bart seemed to be the Cupid that got them together. She took care of Bart while Crew went to away games and his constancy in his desire to be with her won her over.

This was a fun and fast read, sexy and entertaining. No angst, just lighthearted and feel good times. Lovely!

Summer Lovin' is the fifth novella in J Sterling's Fun for the Holiday's series of fun light reads.

Crew is a famous, gorgeous quarterback recently traded to the Los Angeles team. There he is introduced to Summer, the team's transition manager. From the moment these two meet it is instant attraction. However, since Summer has worked with so many previous athletes she constantly has her guard up against them. Crew is not only gorgeous but has a dirty mouth that constantly makes Summer blush. As they continuously work together their attraction to one another only grows stronger.

This is a great fast summer read that is not cheesy at all. Crew will truly make you swoon. And Summer is so strong as she tries to request sexy Crew. Not only does it have a happy ending but the smut is extra spicy. Crew knows what he wants and he wants sweet, shy Summer. I wish I could have Crew in real life.

This book is happy, spicy, and quick! Perfect if you are in a reading slump. This was my first book by J. Sterling , so thank you so much for the ARC! I can't wait to read more of your books!

Summer Lovin’ is a fast, flirty, and feel-good romance that delivers exactly what you’d want from a summer read. The chemistry between Summer and Crew is electric from the start, and their back-and-forth banter kept me smiling the whole way through. Crew is charming and persistent without being overbearing, and Summer’s strength and independence made her easy to root for.

The story moves quickly, and while I wished for just a little more depth or backstory at times, it still hit the mark emotionally. The steamy scenes were well done, and the ending left me with a big smile. If you’re in the mood for a quick sports romance with heart and heat, this one’s worth picking up.

Favorite Quotes:

— My business, my reputation, and my success were more important to me than being dicked by a pro baller.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | Spice: 🌶🌶 (2/5)

Summer Lovin by J. Sterling was the perfect feel-good summer romance. It delivered everything I wanted from a beach read—great chemistry, plenty of laughs, heartfelt moments, and characters who were easy to root for.

The romance developed naturally, making it easy to become invested in their relationship. The 2/5 spice level added just enough heat to complement the emotional connection without overpowering the story. It struck a nice balance between sweet and steamy.

While I enjoyed the overall story, there were a few moments that felt a little predictable, and I would have loved a bit more depth in some of the conflicts. Even so, the pacing kept me turning the pages, and I finished it with a smile on my face.

If you’re looking for a light, charming romance with summer vibes, lovable characters, and just the right amount of spice, Summer Lovin is definitely worth adding to your TBR.

Summer’s number one rule is ever get involved with a client and it’s critical, since every client is a hot athlete with plenty of game. They all hit on her but she fell for it once and vowed never again to be a notch on any smooth-talker’s bedpost. But Crew is determined to change her mind by proving he’s different. This is a sweet and funny HEA with a bit of steam and an adorable dog. What more can you ask for in a great read?

Think I'll be reading this every summer

5* I wouldn't have minded this story being longer instead of just having chapters start weeks or months later, but since this was meant to be a short read, I get it. Crew definitely came on strong and I would have thought it'd be a turn off, but it wasn't...probably because the author expertly wrote about Summer actually liking it and letting us know that Crew really did like her, not just want her. I love that there wasn't any emotional turmoil between the main characters and the fact that Summer knew and believed right away that the picture of him with that girl in his lap wasn't anything to worry about and that after that he didn't even acknowledge other girls. For those wanting to know the love scenes were hot, but this was a romance in that they weren't super long or the focus of the story.
