This is such an adorable book, I loved the illustrations and and the journey through dim sum. I also really enjoyed the Cantonese sprinkled throughout but it says nowhere in the book that is the language they're using. Other than that it was a perfect little picture book and I'm looking forward to incorporating it into a toddler story time!

Love it! Maybe I'm just not seeking out the right books, but this might be the first time I've seen Cantonese influences in a picture book! It made me feel recognizeddddd. The pictures are super cute and delicious-looking, too!

Cute and very simple. There isn't a clear translation of the small amount of Cantonese used in the book, but most phrases are repeated in English, so you can use context clues to figure it out if you aren't fluent in Cantonese. It's a lovely picture book about food, family, and love.
